I’ve been to many mixology and speakeasy spots in Chicago, and the Alderman is up there with the best of them. Sitting at the bar was a fun drinking experience. Roger was cool to interact with and shared some different shots of liquors that are hard to find. I will definitely be back soon.

The sushi here was some of the best sushi I’ve had in years - and I unashamedly consider myself to be a sushi snob. But Tanoshii was a complete surprise. The omakase rolls were creative, original and outstanding. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the food, and how our palates would be satisfied. I’m so sorry for not remembering names! And the sushi chef was amazing at creating omakase-like rolls, which I’ve never seen before, whether it be San Francisco, LA and New York. I highly recommend getting to Tanoshii & be open to exploration. Prices were reasonable but most importantly, the quality of the fish & the preparation was fabulous.

The food is so good! I love the fettuccine Alfredo and the rustic pizza. Shoutout to Adam and Alex for being such amazing people, we asked for some drinks and they did an amazing job with such outstanding customer service! Can’t wait to visit again!
