Dining at The Old Inn on the Green is an extraordinary experience: fine wine, great food, attentive, knowledgeable service and the dining rooms illuminated only by candle light. Chef and Owner Peter Platt, along with his team, work to create innovative and memorable meals that are an event unto themselves. Currently, we are offering a $85 prix fixe menu with 5-6 choices per course every night we are open. The hours for dinner are Wednesday through Sunday 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm for both indoors and in an all new screened outdoor room. The wine list is graced with an array of thoughtfully selected estate bottled wines from France, California, Italy and around the world. In addition to candlelight, in the colder months there are wood burning fireplaces in each room. A copy of our current menu can be found on the home page of our website www.oldinn.com.

BNapoli is known for their professional yet approachable service, beautifully created from scratch menu and inventive balanced cocktails. They offer an eclectic 100 label variety of new and old world wine focused mainly on North America and Italy from a glass enclosed temperature controlled wine room. The service and food were exceptional and as it was our 10th anniversary, we were treated to a glass of champagne and a cordial after dinner. Very nice gesture on their behalf.

First the bartender was excellent! She was attentive and quick. Very prompt and pleasant as she knew we were a bit grumpy from our hostess experience. So about that. The hostess was MIA - we waited 10 minutes because no one else could seat us. A wait person tried. We were very hungry. When hostess finally arrived - she was dour, unapologetic and informed us we would have to wait. Fortunately the super competent bartender made up for the rough start. Food was good and well paced.

We always enjoy our dinners at The Gateways and last night , in spite of a couple of glitches, was no longer exception. Food quality is great, everyone ordered something different and all dishes were excellent. Server was experienced and took care of glitches seamlessly. Kitchen was overwhelmed due to a private party, but all in all went fine. Kudos to Katie and management team, they treat you like a valued guest.
