DiLido Beach Club - Ritz-Carlton, South Beach - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
This was one of our family's vacation lunch. Jesse and Asia have been waiting on us for two years and these two lovely young ladies are like daughter to my husband and me. The Ritz Carlton always does it right and this Ritz restaurant is a reflection of perfection. Excellent food and drinks! Can't wait to see Jesse and Asia during the Christmas holidays.
I had a wonderful, leisurely brunch/lunch here on Sunday. The weather was great, and the misters were keeping us cool. I took my 6-month old puppy, and everyone was so nice to here. I had two mixed berry mohitos that were fabulous. My grilled snapper with roasted vegetables was just what I wanted. I even enjoyed my dessert. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon.
Something for everyone here. From small plates and Spanish style tapas, to the usual staples (burgers and fries), to salads there really is something for everyone. Nice outdoor seating, very comfortable (there is no indoor here, so if you don't like the heat you might want to go for an indoor option).
Friendly service, very reasonable price. Nothing to complain about here.
This is one of the best views in town in terms of dining. You sit on a raised porch overlooking south beach. Some people say you can't see over the umbrellas on the beach but we had no issue. The drinks were good and priced adequately for the beach. The food was better than expected. The menu has limited selections but they are all good so its a decent trade off. The service was surprisingly welcoming and good. The staff was attentive but not pushy. Great place to go on a sunday afternoon to relax. Note: Live band started at 3:30pm on Sunday.
I was disappointed with this place. We went there at around 1pm. The host showed us our table and after that for 5 mins no one came to us not even water. After that we had to call our host to request for the water and it was probably after 10-15 mins that the server came to our table to take our order.
As far as the view is concerned I think bulk of the ocean view is blocked by the beach umbrellas and other structures. We can hardly spot the ocean.
The food was good but I would not go back just because of the initial service we got and the fact that the view was not so exceptional.
The quality of the food is exceptional. The ambiance of the gas flames and alternative music perfectly complemented the cuisine. No issues getting a reservation, in fact the restaurant was not at all crowded, however, reserving via open table made it appear that the restaurant was booked solid except for two time slots which was not the case.
100% recomendable.
The watermelon sangria is the first step to put you in the right mood. Then you ask for the shrimp cocktail (quite large shrimps) and ... voilà, the summer has already taken care of you. It is Sunday, time to relax, watching the back-and-forth of people walking on the beach, the sea out front, the soft music in the background ... The ceviche duos are wonderful and marry to perfection the rosé romantically named Angel Whispering ... The crab cake surprises, out of sameness. For dessert, the traditional chocolate ice cream is a great closing.
Very surprised this restaurant is in the Ritz Carlton. It is far from the standards of other Ritz Carlton restaurants around the world. It's on the beach, so the view is nice but the food and service were pretty poor. Even the grass and trees are not tended to very well. This place needs a complete makeover.
The bartender was inattentive I had to get his attention several times to place my order. I ordered one drink and he too the drink menu away after I flagged him down to order my meal. Then I had to flag him down 2 other times to order drinks. I stayed at the Zritx Carlton that's the only reason I went to this hotel or I would have left after the first drink.
