DiGiorgio's Cafe Largo Ratings and Reviews
Our family of 6 were in Key Largo for the Christmas holidays; friends recommended your restaurant. The appetizers and food were delicious - we all tried different menu items. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We would highly recommend it to anyone in the Key Largo area.
Overall we enjoyed our meal and the service and atmosphere were good. It’s possible our expectations were too high because of the whole Guy.... thing. It didn’t quite live up to that. But the quality was good, service was good and the price was consistent with other Key Largo restaurants. But I would continue trying new places before returning.
Staff, service and food were all very good! The server constantly called us 'GUYS' -- we are two couples (2 adult women and 2 adult men). Address us as 'GUYS' at every step -- from initial greeting, then cocktail ordering and then through to the end of the meal - did put my 'teeth on edge'. As a matter of fact, I was happiest when our server was not involved in bringing , or removing, the courses.
Good Italian food - nothing fancy but very delicious and large portions. Lots of locals and friendly staff. We ate here on a Friday evening in October and it was busy but not crowded. Not excessively noisy. The location is The Keys, so people wore clean shorts and tee shirts - very laid back....
We would go back
We went there for my daughter's birthday, quite informal. The fish was supposed to be grilled (according to the waitress), but it was actually steamed, so not what we ordered. The risotto that came with this menu was good. We also had a pizza, which - besides being quite small - had nothing to do with a real Italian pizza. However, the ambience was nice, warm and welcoming. Maybe our expectations were just too high.
Food doesn't taste so great. They advertise with Guy Fieri all over the place but I doubt Guy Fieri liked their food when he was there. I got one of their specials but it didn't taste fresh. I also had a hair in my meal. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Just bc Guy Fieri visited, doesn't make it great.
Good food. Friendly but slow service. Pasta was good and the portion was generous. We ordered a second glass of wine when our meal arrived. The wine was finally served as our table finished eating . We had to send it back sadly. I would still return because everyone was so nice!
In returning from Key West we wanted dinner and so I went to the Open Table App and found this restaurant....so very glad we did....great meal....each of the four of us had a different meal and all were great. The service was great and the hostess was most friendly.. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a party of 7 people and made our reservation on Open Table. We were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted quickly by our server. We ordered a bottle of wine which was perfect with our meal. The bread they bring out is hot and delicious. The food arrived quickly and was excellent. Everyone at our table finished their meal it was so good. We also enjoyed the fresh seafood selections on the menu. We will definitely come back to DiGiorgio's Case Largo next time we are in town. The food is excellent and the service was top notch.
We had made an Open Table reservation. We got there and they were backed up by about 10 min. The hostess immediately took care of us and we had our drinks very shortly thereafter. They took the food order and even though they looked swamped managed to get everything to us in time. We never had to wait. The food was very good. I ordered the escargot appetizer. It was different from what I'm used to. But was good. We had the mozzarella appetizer and though it was good overall the tomatoes felt a bit mushy. The main dish to share was the rack of lamb which was cooked as we liked it and delicious. No dessert. We went down the road for ice cream. Overall what looked like a difficult situation was made normal and pleasant by the teamwork of the staff.
Our experience was not the best. We saw this restaurant in Guy Fieri's show . We drove from Miami in very high traffic due to an accident and after almost 3 hours , the food and presentation was not even close. The mac & cheese was no where what was shown in the show. Hardly saw the lobster and the pasta they used was not the same . Truly upsetting. My husband order the tour of Italy which had chicken Marsala. It was uneatable. My husband left the chicken as it was also overcooked and burnt.
This meal was a total disappointment. We did not even want to order a dessert. Never to return .
We were on vacation in Key Largo, and saw the advertisement for DiGiorgio Café in the visitor magazine. One reason we visited was for Italian food which we had not experienced during our trip, the other reason is my husband is a fan of Guy Fiere's show and one of the episodes highlighted the restaurant.
The restaurant was one of the more reasonable ones we visited. We ordered, linguine with garlic and oil, which was at our table in about 2 minutes after we placed our order. The linguine was cold, dry and was over powered by garlic. We were very disappointed. For our main, we ordered the veal chop with mozzarella and prosciutto, which was very good, the side salad also very fresh. We did tell the waitress about the pasta, and the response was that the main chef was not at the restaurant at the time. TOO MUCH information, and I really don't care.
If we went back to Key Largo, I don't think we would return. There were many other dining options to choose from in the area.
Had a very busy morning touring around Key West and then headed to a beach for the afternoon so by the time we got to our hotel in Key Largo we were tired and starving. I made a last minute reservation and we headed over. The food was amazing and we didn't wait long at all. The portions were really good too!!! Was soooooo good 😋 Definitely want to go back to visit the Florida keys again and we will definitely head back to DiGiorgio's for dinner or lunch ( or both 😉 )
