Adjacent to the restaurant, the recently remodeled Terrace Room was the sight of over 35 premier weddings in 2011. Additionally, this venue is often booked for corporate parties, charity events, retirement dinners and other occasions when the event simply cannot be compromised.
View Private Dining DetailsI arrived with a large group, we all had separate reservations made through the website. When we arrived the hostess was quite rude and immediately told my party that none of us were in her system...before she even looked at the computer. Other than that, the experience was decent.
Great place and the fodd is delicious. We requested outdoor/scenic and I wished they would of let us know in the confirmation of the reservation that out door was not going to be available. Our waiter was amazing!
dinner options were very good. Ordered Artichokes as a side. They were salty and marinated too much. Lost the flavor of the artichokes
We have visited this establishment over the years and the service and meal quality are excellent
Ambiance and view is AMAZING! Wonderful place to share a special occasion with your loved ones!
Another wonderful meal by the Chef and staff. Came prepared for the 5 course tasting menu, but after thoroughly enjoying the scallop course followed by lamb, halibut and duck courses I was expecting dessert but we were surprised by an excellent Kobe strip slices topped with black truffle. It was AMAZING!! The dessert that follow was light and a great end to a truly fantastic meal. Great way to end a Monday.
I had the swordfish and it was seasoned and prepared perfectly. My date had the chef special and it was magnificent. Our service was top notch and the atmosphere was very romantic with the view and all.
For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter thing and is was superb.
Probably my 10th visit and they always seem to impress me and my dates.
This was our 4th time at Different Pointe of View and have also been extremely happy with the food, service and especially the view however, on this occasion the service was outstanding but the food was only average. Halibut was the "chef's special" the evening we were there and it was overcooked and dry. Also the "purple" mashed potatoes were so dry we did not eat them.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had - breathtaking view, delicious food and excellent service! We are definitely coming back.
Show up early and sit on the patio with drinks and an exceptional view of Phoenix from the North. You must have the signature lobster bisque soup.
This place exceeded all expectations and the food was phenomenal ! Highly recommended and a must!
We had a very special Anniversary dinner. Loved the table and the waitstaff. Food was very nice, especially the cremation brûlée
Will definitely return
We saved this for our last dinner in Phoenix and we were wholly disappointed. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated which we would’ve understood had the restaurant been busy; but it wasn’t. The views were beautiful but that was the only thing we enjoyed. The restaurant was nearly empty with four tables inside and two outside. Even with not many tables to serve our food took almost an hour and a half to come. And when it did we were not impressed. The chicken was okay at best, the filet mignon was good but not great and the vegetables were bland. We didn’t order anything that should have required over an hour to prep. We were so disappointed. Our waiter never once checked on us until after we were done eating. It was just such a disappointment all around.
food was good, wine a bit pricey. View and VIBE was lovely. Service was pushy and obnoxious. Our server was trying to entertain when we just wanted to be left alone. Just not sensitive to the customer. That said, the venue and food were quite nice.
First time coming here for my birthday celebration with good friends. Amazing food and drinks. The waiter who served us weren’t happy guy, not helpful with accommodating with my friend’s diet restrictions. Such beautiful scenic mountain view with city lights across town. I will give Different Pointe of View a 2nd try. Would come back again.
Wife’s 75th Birthday
Absolutely wonderful. We had a great table outside with the great view of Phoenix and the sunset. Brian, our waiter was very accommodating. We always love a different point of view.
Fabulous as usual!!! Great food, better view, cocktails outside, grand dinner inside.
Unbelievable view from the mountaintop. Voted best Hilton restaurant in America for many reasons. Food was delicious. Service was superb. You cannot beat the view whether you sit inside or outside the restaurant. Price is expensive, yet reasonable for quality of food and service and ambiance. Go here for a dining experience and not just a dinner!
Service and view were impeccable. Food was quite good but honestly expected a bit more for the price. Expect to pay a premium for an amazing view and exquisite service. The food was beautifully presented just didn’t quite meet my expectations.
This was a nice find. Great views of the city lights!
I didn't know until after dinner but you can sit outside.
Our waiter was awesome! He knew all the intricacies of each dish.
Highly recommended
Enjoyed the views and especially the food. The scollops were perfect and the baby back ribs were prepared perfectly. The server made sure we had everything to enjoy a terrific evening overlooking Phoenix....
Food was excellent , although sides of vegetables or starch could have been a little larger .
Outstanding food, service and view. Had a truly delightful evening! Everything was above expectations.
Good job, Ian! We will be back. Kudos to the front and back of house.
This north Phoenix area restaurant, part of a large resort hotel complex, never disappoints. With an outstanding mountain top location, great views, excellent professional service and great food, it is hard to beat when looking for a fine dining experience. Of course it comes with a price tag, but for a great dinner or a special occasion the Different Pointe of View is always on my list of places to go.
If the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, reserve a table on the patio where the ambiance is provided by nature. But if you're dining inside there isn't a bad table in the house.
This is a destination to enjoy the view. The food was good but not great considering the price. The service was so unimpressive it was laughable. The waiter acted completely put out to even talk to us. His attitude ruined what could have been a really lovely evening. The restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night at 6:30 so the energy was low as well. We had a good time due to our own conversation, but we’re hoping for great. The restaurant just didn’t pull its own weight. Would not return.
AmaZing experience overall. The view from our table was absolutely incredible! The food was delicious and service was spectacular. Everything was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!
This is the third time we have had dinner here. It has always been a great experience from food, service and view. This time, however, the time between our salads and main meals was a bit long. The restaurant was full with several large parties. We had a 6:30pm reservation and didn't get our main meals until 8pm. The server did apologize and provided a small tasting of bisque to take the focus away from the issue. We enjoyed a great conversation with friends and the view of Pheonix. Overall, it was a minor issue.
Great place . I had the steak, the only thing I would change is a little seasoning on the meat everything else was great.
The view was unbelievable!! Great experience , great food. Limited menu but it was delicious! Very loud but there was a business get together there when we were there! All in all everyone should experience sometime!
My wife has an allergy to onions and garlic. Our waiter advised that the chef uses onions and garlic ‘like salt and pepper - it’s in everything’. No attempt to offer something without onion or garlic. No offer to prepare something from scratch (which many other restaurants have done in our experience).
Very disappointing service and very little food we could eat. My wife had two salads and some bread. Nothing with protein that she could eat because all had onions and garlic according to the staff.
This was not the first time we ate at this restaurant. But it was the last. We won’t go back again.
Avoid at all costs. Poor value. Service in the restaurant is fine but the overall experience is extremely poor. Trust me. Avoid. Food overly contrived and poorly executed.
Great service from Richard, wonderful meal. Thanks much, made my wife’s Birthday a real treat, whew! Mine too:)
Our waiter Ian (sp?) was amazing! One of the best waiters I’ve experienced!
Very attentive and friendly!
The view from this restaurant is great!
You can not beat the setting for a memorable view of the Phoenix city lights. The interior of the restaurant is classy and understated. Our waiter was interested in assisting us but not pushy and allowed us time to visit. I truly felt like I got away from all of my responsibilities and was able to focus on the celebration. One issue is the restaurant is difficult to find because of the signage. I would return for the food and location.
Entrees were great; (and priced as anticipated for an upscale eatery). Note....carrot cake ($9.50) was quite small, and the popcorn pudding ($9) underwhelming......desserts seemed over-priced & underwhelming; coffee only fair. The view is lovely...and we were fortunate enough to luck into a table with a view, which was the high point of evening.
A team building business meal with employees & spouses. The service was OUTSTANDING. Not only did we not feel rushed, we felt encouraged to relax and enjoy ourselves. The noise level was such that you could hear the people next to you well and those who were a seat or two away had to speak up a bit, but not too much. I think I would have preferred a round table for our group, but we still enjoyed ourselves and there was good interaction.
The food was AMAZING (with one small exception). The steaks & majority of the seafood were cooked to perfection, appropriately tender & succulent. The scallops were the best anyone in our group had ever had. The lobster was the only thing that left a bit to be desired. I'm not sure if it just wasn't done enough or if it was cooked to perfection (as per the menu description) and I'm just not used to it that way...
The view was outstanding. The only thing I really didn't care for was the drive up to the restaurant and then back down to the street. very unsafe - almost had a nose-to-nose with a big truck who was coming down as we were on our way up - we were avoiding pedestrians and then, suddenly, there was this truck! A bit stressful. Also, getting out of the car on an extreme slope would not have been safe for older or less steady legs. My husband and I both had to catch ourselves. I think next time we'll do valet parking . . .
Wonderful!
We were there for the sunset and then the city lights view. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. If we ever return to Phoenix, we will return for the view and food and wine. I rated the noise as moderate because there was a large group dining but it was not disruptive.
