Adjacent to the restaurant, the recently remodeled Terrace Room was the sight of over 35 premier weddings in 2011. Additionally, this venue is often booked for corporate parties, charity events, retirement dinners and other occasions when the event simply cannot be compromised.View Private Dining Details
You can not beat the setting for a memorable view of the Phoenix city lights. The interior of the restaurant is classy and understated. Our waiter was interested in assisting us but not pushy and allowed us time to visit. I truly felt like I got away from all of my responsibilities and was able to focus on the celebration. One issue is the restaurant is difficult to find because of the signage. I would return for the food and location.
Entrees were great; (and priced as anticipated for an upscale eatery). Note....carrot cake ($9.50) was quite small, and the popcorn pudding ($9) underwhelming......desserts seemed over-priced & underwhelming; coffee only fair. The view is lovely...and we were fortunate enough to luck into a table with a view, which was the high point of evening.
A team building business meal with employees & spouses. The service was OUTSTANDING. Not only did we not feel rushed, we felt encouraged to relax and enjoy ourselves. The noise level was such that you could hear the people next to you well and those who were a seat or two away had to speak up a bit, but not too much. I think I would have preferred a round table for our group, but we still enjoyed ourselves and there was good interaction.
The food was AMAZING (with one small exception). The steaks & majority of the seafood were cooked to perfection, appropriately tender & succulent. The scallops were the best anyone in our group had ever had. The lobster was the only thing that left a bit to be desired. I'm not sure if it just wasn't done enough or if it was cooked to perfection (as per the menu description) and I'm just not used to it that way...
The view was outstanding. The only thing I really didn't care for was the drive up to the restaurant and then back down to the street. very unsafe - almost had a nose-to-nose with a big truck who was coming down as we were on our way up - we were avoiding pedestrians and then, suddenly, there was this truck! A bit stressful. Also, getting out of the car on an extreme slope would not have been safe for older or less steady legs. My husband and I both had to catch ourselves. I think next time we'll do valet parking . . .
We were there for the sunset and then the city lights view. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. If we ever return to Phoenix, we will return for the view and food and wine. I rated the noise as moderate because there was a large group dining but it was not disruptive.
We had reservations for over a month. We arrive 40 minutes early and asked for a window seat as it was my birthday and was told they could do that. We were seated at the very end table with a huge column right dead center in the middle of the view from our table. The waiter stopped by and I said I guess I get the post in my view for my birthday, and his comment was "lucky you".
The service was good, the filet was slightly over done, but tasteless. The rest of the "stuff" on the plate was pretty much just for looks. The carrot cake was about the size of a very small biscuit.
Overall way over priced and way over sold as a high end place to eat with a view.
Great view, excellent food but would like to have seen a little more variety in entree. Loved building , beautiful interesting design and details Little pricey
Food and service were outstanding.
It was for my husband's birthday. We arrived early and had a drink in the bar. Horroble service there. We were nervous about our dinner then. They didn't come to get us for our reservation time so we went up to the host desk. They acted as though we had never checked us in and put us in a waiting area for a few more minutes. 20 minutes after our reservation time we were seated. Our server was delightful!! The view is spectacular. The tasting menu was excellent. My lobster and scallops was under cooked and had to be sent back. It is a very romantic setting. Go for dinner, skip the bar.
P.S. I was surprised at how casual ( shorts and flips) the dress code was in a very nice formal dinner room.
Fine food and good service coupled with the incredible view make this a perfect venue for special occasions.
I had requested patio seating, but there was no patio seating. We were near a window. I wanted to take photos but was informed that photography with a good camera is not permitted. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very nice. The dinner was very expensive, and the portions were small. It was hard to find my car after dinner, as the parking lot was dark and the paving was uneven and treacherous.
Our guests were very appreciative, and we all enjoyed the evening. This is the kind of place for a special occasion.
As always the food and service were awesome!
I’ve been here on visits from out of town several times and have been extremely pleased each time. We had fantastic meals and service was as good as it gets! My favorite restaurant in the Greater-Phoenix area.
The food was phenomenal you need to try the carrot cake dessert
This was our first time in Arizona, had a great meal and great view. Highly recommend.
The service, food, and view were incredible. The ambiance inside and outdated decor left a lot to be desired. I would love to go back and dine on the patio when it’s warmer.
One of our top favorite restaurants to take out of state guests. Beautiful outside patio with a breathtaking view, especially at sunset. Wait staff are pleasant, helpful and very professional. The food is excellent. Always an enjoyable evening.
Wow Norway halibut out of this world!!!
The Diver Scallops are the best I've ever had! Highly recommend
Our entire experience was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Richard our server was great. Food was exquisite. The views were breathtaking.
We had reservations with Open Table. Table was ready and restaurant has great views. Took 5 minutes to get someone to pour water another 15 to get menus and a wine list. Our server seemed not to like his job. Always disappeared. Manager that did quality check came after we were doing me with meal and waiting for our check. Too annoyed to complain and thank god food was good or it would have been a disaster.
Beautiful view, attentive staff without hovering. They wanted out experience to be special so they did what they could to make that happen.
It was a great way to celebrate a birthday. Staff was very accommodating
This beautiful restaurant was the perfect gathering spot for our get together. The food, wine, service and ambiance was magical. Our server was fantastic!
Louise was our server and we did the chefs tasting menu with the wine pairing. I’ve never had a better experience with the perfect amount of attention from the staff. We will definitely be coming back and asking for Louise!!!
We had relatives in town who wanted to have a great view. The patio was closed due to wind, but the food made up for it. Nash, our waiter was great. He was funny and entertaining and made sure we were having a great time. We tried a couple of new dishes and as always, everything was wonderful. There was a large party in the restaurant, so the noise level was a bit high, but overall everything was fabulous.
The view is nice, service very good, Lobster was overcooked, the special pork was overcooked, the scallops were very good.
Great dinner with delicious food and presentation. The service (Nash was our server) was outstanding, best we have had in quite some time. Our group loved this restaurant and we would definitely return.
The only negative was the lighting was far too bright and some of our party were under a 'spotlight' which was distracting from the amazing view and overall ambiance.
Very inviting and relaxing. Very good food. Will go back.
Fantastic view with all glass wall overlooking Phoenix. Food was wonderful, service was great, excellent wine list. I would highly recommend if visiting the greater Phoenix area.
We dined with a fantastic view of the valley below and a mountain backdrop. Service was impeccable. Our server had a thorough knowledge of the menu items and wine/cocktail options. The scallops were lovely, flavorful and tender. The beef filet was excellent. We ordered a side in addition to what was plated with the entrees; we had too much food. Highly recommended.
Sevice and food was excellent!! Went for spouses birthday. You will not be disappointed
The Chef’s selection menu was so good. A wonderful 5 course meal. Service was excellent t. Next time I would definitely request a view table!
The patio view was magnificent. We arrived early to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail. The view at Sunset was incredible. The patio is really nicely laid out with great accommodations. We really enjoyed our time and followed it up with a great meal in the restaurant.
Everything about this place is fantastic!!
We celebrated a birthday it was delicious, romantic and the service was excellent.
This restaurant is located on an amazing piece of property with gorgeous views. The drinks were good and the food delicious. Well worth it.
The setting was very nice - good views of the city of Phoenix. I was wishing we had come earlier than our 6:00 reservation to enjoy a drink on the patio. The menu was somewhat limited but I believe most people could find something they wanted. Portions were small - relative to the pricing. Interesting preparation of the dishes - might not appeal to those with a less than sophisticated palate. Service was topnotch.
Great food and service. Our server Larry was amazing and we had a wonderful time.
Took my wife to DPOV for her birthday. The ambiance was cozy, the view was incredible, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. Great place for a special occasion. One tip: if you can when making a reservation, look up the sunset time of the day and set your reservation about 15 minutes prior. The sky and the city are gorgeous as it transitions from dusk to night.
