Dick's Last Resort - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
Can you say FUNNY!!! Super fun times!
Very great experience and great-rude staff, and live musical entertainment...
The appetizers are really good, the entrees are fine (well at least what I had which, was the fredo was just ok)but the drinks are AMAZING...completely lived up to my expectations and it's super casual.
My waiter (shout-out to my waiter Walter for making my friends birthday completely unforgettable)and additional staff were extremely accommodating. The lighting and scenery is perfect (it feels like your dining on a large rustic type of boat). I always truly appreciate dining in a clean well kept restaurant. It can however be rather loud but again this is to be expected.
Perfect for birthday parties and for people that just want to have fun night out and laugh. If you get offended easily it's not the place for you...I will definitely return soon.
Lots of fun and be ready to be insulted..we enjoyed the atmosphere. The place is pretty dirty and half the food was cold..still fun one time and I would recommend it to anyone to experience. But I wouldn't go back, if your looking for good food..plenty of great places near by.
This was our first and probably last time visiting Dicks. My daughter wanted to go with her friends for her 13th birthday. I indicated that it was her birthday but she wasn't given any special treatment. The food was terrible! The highlights was the music. We really enjoyed the two man band but they were done by 8pm. Our waiter was friendly until the end. He seemed in a rush to get rid of us. The girls didn't have that great of a time. Disappointing for my daughter's 13th. We had a do-over the next weekend at Sugar Factory to make up for it. Much better choice.
Wasn't nothing like Indianapolis. Hostess was not very rude, or theme like. More like a regular restaurant. I was disappointed, and embarrassed to tell my brother and his girlfriend about it. Wasn't to my expectations. I expected to have fun, just had a meal.
We went there for my daughters 14th Birthday...all she talked about before we got there was how excited she was to see what the waiter/waitress was going to put on our hats...well she was the only one that got one, the rest did not...we noticed everyone else received a hat at all the other tables except ours...she mentioned us getting hats but our waiter told her to not tell him how to do his job...still no hats!! VERY DISAPPOINTING, thanks for ruining her birthday....spent well over $100 for hamburgers and 3 drinks...we will not be back!!! If you go to the one in chicago..DO NOT GET A MALE WAITER WHATEVER YOU DO!!!
OMG my family and I had the Best time ever! We were celebrating my son's 17th birthday. Our server was absolutely hilarious. He said his name was Walter. I told all my coworkers about him and how much fun we had. I told them to request for him when the book their reservations. I hope he wasn't lying about his name lol. My family and I will definitely be back.... and thinking about planning an after work hook up with my coworkers real soon.
To be quite honest; I was expecting a little bit more. A little bit more interaction within customer and server. The food was okay but in my personal opinion it was waaay too expensive. I can eat for the same amount of money at better restaurants. All in all it was okay. I would recommend this place for a party get together or a fun night out with friends. I am glad to have experienced it but I doubt I will go there again on the future.
I took my 15 year old daughter there during a weekend trip to Chicago. She had heard about it from friends that had been to Chicago recently. I thought it was a lot of fun, and our waitress did a good job of keeping in the theme and making us laugh without overdoing it. Other staff would walk by and get their jabs in, too, which were of a harmless variety, yet really fun. I highly recommend this place for those with a sense of humor!
Overall, obnoxious as usual but what they are noted for, and what is expected. There was a band playing the night we were there so the noise level was off the charts. Food was good but think we've now had our share of this place as we've gone the last couple of years when in the city, always with a new person who hasn't experienced the "ambiance".
Horrible food.... waitress was overwhelmed they sat us at the same table with strangers and also sat a table behind us and she then made us all share menus....when she asked what we wanted to eat we clearly didn't have any idea. Also the Phrases they wrote on our hats were reused a table acrossed from us had the same one..... no dicks here just crappy overall experience .... better food at McDonalds!
Very fun place to eat but not a good choice for the very young or very sensitive. Some of the messages they write on patron's paper hats can a bit raunchy. We had a great time & service was wonderful. They are rude ( on purpose) so leave your feelings at the door!
This was for my daughters 16th Birthday. We went on a Tuesday, early dinner time, so it was fairly empty, but the girls we went with had a blast! All the staff got involved and even though they were rude and crass, it all made her feel super special and that was a great memory to make for her!
Actually, we couldn't try the food, the restaurant was almost empty, just a couple of tables with small groups, but the waiter never came to our table after dropping the menu, we waited for more than 20 minutes waving any waiter in the distance, no one came, and then we left. Bad service.
