Wait staff was funny, although a bit distracted. Food was overpriced and not that great.
I was one of only two reservations made for the evening and the only table they could come up with was - beside the kitchen. Whole sections were empty and when I asked to move, I was told they didnt have servers for those areas. Seems like poor management to do that if time was taken by a customer, in advance, to choose their location. Also, three of the menu items were not available. So, we all ordered water an entree and left.
the service was extremely poor, a total let down and a bust. I had heard great things about the humor and activity so took my boyfriend there for this birthday. We barely got spoken to, didn't get a paper hat nor insulted or joked with. We were barely spoken to and my boyfriend even tried to entice our server to be rude/joke with us. He said no.....and replied....I'd rather talk to another table. My boyfriend was highly disappointed and I was embarrassed that I had even considered this for a birthday lunch. Thank goodness it was only him and I and not a big group or it would have been worse.
I would never recommend this venue to anyone!
Out of 10 of us, 7 got sick. We all ate the chicken wings. Our server was fun, but food was awful.. drinks were off. Out of the 10 of us, only 1 had been there before and he’s 14. We were there for a special occasion. Birthdays-3 of them- my brother in law and my birthday with my twin sister. We were highly disappointed. We laughed.. if that’s what you’re going for- then all is good. We just wanted more.
Very disappointed in the whole experience. We brought our two daughters here for the experience knowing we wouldn’t love the menu. I made sure to check the kid menu before going to make sure there was things they would like. The restruarant was out of paper for hats (isn’t that what everyone comes for) and our waitress did nothing “fun” for our girls. If we would have known there would be no hats before ordering we would have left. Other waiters around were throwing straws, napkins, and interacting with guests in fun ways. Our lady was just bossy like two times. One of these times we asked for kids menus as our daughters are picky and she wouldn’t let my 13 year old have one. I understand she is over the “kid” age but I have never been to a restaurant who has denied anyone of any age from ordering a kids meal. Not what I was expecting.... very disappointed.
Food was mediocre. They were out of a lot of things
I had two teenagers that are picky and we could not order Mac and cheese for them. I even offered to pay more. I was denied. We ended up not ordering for one of the kids and went somewhere else later. Little disappointed, when you spend $150 and your child has to go somewhere else to eat.
Had the best time with the staff- they were hilarious and really cared about making sure we had everything we needed and were comfort.
Went there with our office group. What a fun time- my stomach hurt from laughing! Our waiter was awesome and food was terrific!
Our server Samantha saved the night! It was New Year’s Eve, they had ran out of almost everything and the fry cook was working the grill and sent out raw hamburgers. Our server however, worked her butt off and still made the evening enjoyable and because of her, we will give them another try.
Everything In the menu was “ sold-out” . Hard to wait an hour for a table to get a freaking burger.
Not sure if I ‘ll be back...
Had a 6:30 reservation and was not seated until 7:15. Very disappointing.
GreT service, goof times
It was our first time here and it was awesome! So much fun and the food was great! Will be back on our next trip back.
Honestly went because we were at MOA and my boyfriend has always wanted to go to a restaurant of this type. We fully understand the concept of the restaurant but still felt the overall service was a sub par. We waited longer than necessary for drinks and for our order to be taken and for our bill. They weren't busy at all.
Overall was slightly disappointed with the experience. Was told we needed a reservation but when we got there it was empty. Felt like the waiter was really over doing it. . Stretching to be witty and sarcastic.. food was average at an average price. Wouldn't recommend it to friends..
One of our friends dined at Dick's before, and raved about the server, the hats they give you. and the excitement of the server with jokes. So when we flew into Minneapolis for a long lay over, we took the tram to meet our friend at Dick's. We were very disappointed with the service we go. We waited for a long time to get waited on, and our server never came back to check on us. I had to ask another server for something. We did not get a hat, until we asked for one, as we were paying the bill. Our server forgot about serving us most of the time. I think either he was tired, or was having a bad day:(
Fun time however menu was lacking and prices were high. Was looking just for a hamburger or simple meal
This place is so fun! Do not go if you want to sit and have a conversation. There is too much noise and too much going on. Go to have a blast of a time. Restrooms were up stairs so not sure if they had any wheelchair accessible.
Fun. The noise level wasn't conducive to conversation. Good food.
Never laughed so hard ! Waiter was from NY just like us great personality for this place Was not to crude with our 16 & 17 yr old volleyball players
Do NOT go here if you don't have a sense of humor or are easily offended. Everything a server has always wanted to say, they finally have the chance to say it. And it goes both ways. But if you give it, be prepared to take it as well! Maybe not the best place to take your little kids if you don't want to see them get showered with napkins or treated without kid gloves...because if they start to act up, the servers will let you and them know their opinion of that. If you can't make fun of yourself or laugh at yourself, don't go here. The food was ok, not spectacular, and the mashed potatoes were cold. But it was a fun place to go.
Portions are too small for the money. I'd rather have the same portion size but the price should be lower
First time visiting enjoyable experience very entertaining and I would absolutely recommend Dicks
I thought the food was awful. We had 2 adults and 4 children. Food was cold. Some food was very rubbery. We were visiting from out of town. Thought the waitress would have said more to the kids but didnt. Thought she would have joked with them more. Wont be back.
Food was not good at all... your paying for the show, not the food.
The food was terrible. I ordered the shrimp platter with 3-4 varieties of shrimp. The shrimp, rice and vegetable tasted strange. I couldn't eat them. My husbands entree was not good either. I should have commented to the staff, but just didn't feel like it. Atmosphere was great!!!
We were expecting a sassy experience. We got no sass at the check in desk and our waitress was WAY too tame. Out of the 6 'hats' only one was original/funny the others were generic. She only dished out the insults when we tossed them her way first. We came solely for the experience not the food and we were disappointed. The people that ordered the burgers said that they were good but the Fish Po'boy was all bread and onion. There were about 7 tiny pieces of fish on it. On the plus side, the birthday girl got an adult beverage for free.
You need to enjoy a little bit of off-color humor to really enjoy Dick's Last Resort. My friends and I had a lot of fun and the food was good!
It was great, I loved the atmosphere and the bartender was funny as hell!
The food is overpriced for what you get. We had a 3 year old with us and thought they would not be as vulgar in the presence of a child but we were wrong.
Our waiter (Jason M) provided great fun. The food is average. No complaints.
The atmosphere and servers were very energetic and friendly. If people don't like there waiters being rude then don't go. It was a lot of fun for my husbands 70th birthday. Our party of 12 and all ages really enjoyed it. We booked on line and our table was ready for us.
Hubby and I have been together 32 years and decided we needed a FUN "date night"! My 24 yr old son suggested Dick's, and we had a wonderful time! Great food, fun people, good drinks (got to keep the glasses!). Then we went to the local Comedy Club nearby and continued our good time! My hubby is hard to please on dining out...he wants to come back! It was a wonderful "date night" for 2 oldies!!!!
Worst food I've ever had at a restaurant. They threw shrimp on a plate with plain rice and that was it. We did laugh at the bartender's antics but the humor during dinner was crude. Certainly not appropriate for children. Made our experience with friends uncomfortable.
We had a nice time!
Will be back!
Thanks for a fun afternoon!
Don't go with 2 teenagers, mom and dad, Grandma and Grandpa. The demographics don't seem to work for over the top shenanigans for the employees, as we were the only ones there who didn't get a fun, paper hat and insults, which is why my daughter wanted to go there for her birthday. Probably best with larger groups of peers.
Was hoping for the whole crazy fun experience. Instead felt drinks were watered down and food, though good, was definitely rushed. We were given our bill then asked if we wanted dessert. For a table of 4 we were in and out in 30 min....and only one fun hat...on our way out.
They were beyond sarcastic and funny. They didn't honor my coupons and embarrassed me. Was a very bad experience. Don't go there
I was really looking forward to be harassed and got none at all. Wasn't fun like I thought.
