Dick's Last Resort - Indy Ratings and Reviews
We went for my granddaughter's birthday. I tried to make a reservation for anytime after 3 p.m. but the latest time available was 2 p.m. When we got there the place was almost empty with lots of tables available, even after we left, which was after 3 p.m. The servers were funny and we got some laughs. The food was just alright. It wasn't hot and barely warm and not very tasty, and I am not a picky eater. We asked the server if there was anything on the menu that we could purchase for the birthday guest and she just shook her head "no".
In the drive to Indy I was excited to take my daughter's here. When I arrived for sure it was a complete let down! I drove 2 hours to have a bad experience. The restaurant is suppose to be rude and funny. It ended up to be for us just a plain lunch. Our waitress was inattentive and not even funny or rude. Don't waste time or money going here. Just a total let down. Food was a good price but service was very poor.
Took my wife there for our wedding anniversary. She had been wanting to try it, as neither of us had ever been there. The appetizer dip was very good. I had fish and chips. Fries were blah, my fish was grease soaked. Her shrimp tasted like it came out of a freezer. Will not be returning any time soon.
Eh. I suppose it's one of those novelty places everyone tries once but it certainly didn't live up to the hype. Food was barely okay for all 4 of us. Server was extremely attentive and efficient but we really were hoping for a more salty experience. Decor is fun. I doubt we'll return.
we had reservation's at 5 pm We got to there at 4:55. We had to wait for the waitress to get "caught up" There were only 2 servers on duty and we were sat with another family ! We brought our Son there before he was to fly out the next morning to go back to base. We really wanted it to be "family time". I was really expecting this to be a fun dinner and it was awful we didn't get asked if we wanted refills until we were ready to leave. The food was greasy and very over priced!
The waiter rushed us to order and it was our first time there. The food was not good and the portions are very small. The alcoholic beverages are Over Priced! It felt like we were being rushed to order and eat and get out so he could move onto the next customer!! We will never go back
This was my first time visiting Dick's Last Resort. We went for a friends birthday party. I made a reservation a week in advance for 4, yet the hostesses wouldn't seat us until the full party got there. Mind you, there were 3 of us there and we were waiting on the 4th. At least 5 tables got sat before us, and when we finally got sat, we ended up at a table for 6 anyways - I think they should throw out this silly rule. The service was fair. Our server lived up to his standards, and his birthday announcement for my friend was acceptable. I had barbecue chicken tenders and they were, to say the least, disgusting, but the fries were good. Everybody else at the table enjoyed their food. The place is very loud, but not unbearable. Other than the disgusting chicken tenders and the hosting rule, everything turned out fine. They are very pricey though! If you do not have the money to spend, and if you are looking for good chicken wings, then do not go here!
When I initially got there the host told me my table was being cleaned and that it would be roughly 10 minutes, 30 minutes later she finally said our table was ready. I didn't know that it took 20 minutes to clean off a table. When we were finally seated our server was decent buy the prices for the food for what you actually get is outrageous. I will never go back to this place nor will I recommend it to anyone I know for that matter.
I was a little disappointed in the menu choices. There were not a lot. Our waiter was great. I don't like the way the on line reservation worked. It said there was not a table open for 5 for 2.5 hours from the time I ask. But when we got there, we were placed at a table for 10 to 12 and we were the only people. there was just 4 of us. And the whole time no one else was sat at our table. Several other tables were empty.
