Dick's Last Resort - Boston Ratings and Reviews
I had a great time for my birthday! Friends had fun, food wasn't too bad. Did not like the whip cream in my face. It would have been fine if it was just my mouth, but all over my face and up my nose was a bit much. Thought I might suffocate!
Waiter was great!
Definitely would recommend to a friend.
We had picked up our son from college for family weekend and we all wanted to to go here after we heard how fun the waiters are. We thought portions were small but tasted good. But we told our waitress to bring it on!! She said she would be loud and craZy..And she was NICE! We didn't come here to have a nice waitress lol our hats were funny but Jenn needs to step it up!! Disappointed after hearing other reviews about the place. We saw two other waiters that were pretty funny the " queen" as Jenn called him was awesome! Wish we had him for our first time here.
Dissapointing night at Dicks! We reserved thru open table and told them it was my daughter's bday. We were suprised the waitress made no mention of it, so we mentioned it to her after our apps. Still nothing? We didnt want to hound her and she clearly wasnt realy into the job. She was less than enthusiastic about her job. Food was pretty good, but dont see any special reason to go back.
We had a great time! This is a place we're you go to get yelled at while you eat. The conversation goes both ways. Our server (Shane I think. It's been 3 days) was a lot of fun he was attentive and seemed like a guy guy I would have a drink with. Get a group of thick skinned maybe a little bit twisted friends and have a blast!
Service was what to expect, food was good and the prices were average. Drinks weren't bad either $11 and take the glass home. It was a great night and a great deal for Boston. If your a tie wearing type person don't waste your time. It's a laid back casual don't worry about what you say type of place.
Everything was great, but the food could have been a lot better. I got the Dolly and the rice had such a weird taste to it, almost like it was old. The chicken was two tiny pieces and were kind of rubbery. My boyfriend had the ribs & fries, both which were decent. I just feel for the pricing, the food should be a lot better. The staff wasn't as mean as they were in the past, which took away from the fun a little bit. Overall, not too bad. I would go back in hopes for a better experience.
It was my husbands first time at the restaurant
The usual rude behavior by the waitstaff was non existent
The whole reason I took him there was for the " show" the waitstaff usually puts on
I was very disappointed and in my reservation and when I arrived I told them it was a birthday but yet they did nothing to help us celebrate
I really wish I remembered our servers name because he was fantastic. We went on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends. He was so fun to play back and forth with. He was smart and evaluated us before he would say a dig. I had been there before and had a girl years ago (around 8) and she was in my opinion awful because the things she was saying were crossing the line. There is playing and then being outright messed up. Like commenting on my bruised face (bad car accident) and saying I was like rhianna after being beaten up by Chris Brown. What if I had been beaten? That to me is just a little much. Anyway back to this past weekend. They 100% made up for it this time and I will absolutely come back!
Tourist trap. Loud, tables pushed together so are so closely you can't move. Food was awful. Not good for young kids. With Fanueil Hall Marketplace right there and the North End across the way there are Plenty of great eats in the area, head there instead. Don't waste your money or your appetite.
Decided to try for 18th birthday celebration thinking a good healthy dose of the expected sarcasm and rudeness would be something teens would relate to and find amusing. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, however, much to the adults' dismay lacked in dishing out digs to the kids. The drinks were over priced and although food prices seemed more reasonable aside from a decent grilled chicken caesar salad and one order of the ribs and wings and good french fries, the rest was almost inedible; under cooked shrimp, horrible batter on fish. Had one order fish and chips and one fisherman's platter, both were terrible. Fisherman's platter consisted of 3 shrimp, one small lump of fish and four crab balls the size of small grapes. We filled up on the fries and left swiftly in need of a filling dessert. Very disappointed to say the least.
