This restaurant has actually closed down. There is no information ANYWHERE.
gone into adminsitration but still taking bookings. dont go!
You were closed when we arrived 7pm. Rather embarassing as we had guests and have come from Singapore
We never went as had a call saying it was closed down on the day due to financial troubles, so you should take off your site. thanks
It is a well laid out restaurant which is fresh and bright and in general does carry a good atmosphere. However, the food did let it down for me. Not much choice for gluten free, and when I did ask for the yogurt and berries with the nuts, grains and seeds, I received a very small amount of yogurt, and was informed that there weren't many berries as they had almost run out. I also got honey at a request. It was nice but such a small amount that it was a bit disappointing. Service was okay. Everyone else seemed okay with what they had.
Great service, really beautiful restaurant inside. They have a lovely wine list too and cocktails. We went for brunch and we're surprised at how well the food was cooked, simple but really delicious, would recommend for brunch or Sunday roast!
Excellent setting, food and service! Highly recommended!
Such a wonderful evening, from the service to the decor and ambience to the interesting dishes. Especially the truffle linguini - it was really rather special. What a wonderful restaurant!
Lovely place, great food and wine - shame it was a hot day and there was no aircon and no openable windows - we rushed out without pudding cos we were too hot!
Thanks a lot for giving as a table at the window as we asked in the booking form! The food was lovely, I am on a tricky no gluten diet so was not super easy to find an option but I made it in the end. I hope I am off that diet next time I am back at Dickie FItz
Lovely vibe in this place helped by tasteful decor and dining is upstairs away from the din of the bar. Be sure to turn up for a pre dinner drink and make the most of happy hour. Set menu was good value and we enjoyed the ambience so much we stayed the whole evening catching up with friends. Food was a great standard if not the most exciting menu to be found in the area.
Great birthday meal
Great place but the bar/ restaurant downstairs is confused- first seat on the left is a disaster- anyone sitting there will be bumped by anyone coming in- the waiting staff have got worse- meet and greet poor - and a bar that is a dumping ground says a lot - great place- just needs proper management-
Great restaurant with lovely food. Service was really slow, but it didn't spoil the enjoyment.
We came here last Sunday for brunch.
Mike was a great front of house and was very welcoming and attentive throughout. The ham hock hash is highly recommendable.
Our second visit here, and a good experience. Now just to make it three...
The food was excellent and good value. However, the restaurant is very noisy (no sound absorption) and the service was appalling. Staff were very inattentive - we really struggled to get hold of anyone all night. For example, we ordered a main with a side of chips. The chips still had not arrived when we were half way through our mains. I had to get up and go to the front of the restaurant to ask for them - I was told 'they are coming'. No apology, and when they turned up we had nearly finished our food. We also wanted to order dessert but after waiting 20 minutes for someone to take our dessert order, we gave up and asked for the bill....
Great Saturday brunch. Relaxed, nice setting, yummy coffee. Mike and Jay were fab!
We go to Dickie Fitz on a regular basis for the best burger in London. Great service, too - thanks Mikey for looking after us!
My new favorite brunch venue. Bright and airy, great service, good food, and interesting drinks.
Had a wonderful relaxed evening here. The dining room is really ambient and we had a great table next to a window in a prime people watching spot. Renee and Steve were excellent hosts and were able to give great suggestions from the gin and wine list.
despite resyaurant being very quiet the service was unbelievably slow
slow to take order and v slow to bring drinks and food
food quality was OK - nothing like a good as it promised on the menu
I wont be back
Fantastic food and cocktails (try the Fitzroy!) coupled with great service.
Went for brunch and loved every minute. Bright and airy decor, great ambience, lively atmosphere but not so noisy you couldn't hear what your guests were saying. Fun twists on some classics, loved the Australian Bloody Mary. Would definitely recommend this place.
Tasty brunch absolutely loved the waffles. Great drinks and coffee as well. Amazing ambience and very attentive service. Nice to have the Australian touch. Will eat again!
Good service and good food, had the brunch menu - the hot smoked salmon and poached eggs were perfect
They were unable to make hot drinks which I think is ridiculous especially for Sunday brunch. My friend had to ask the waitress over and over again for a toothpick and in the end she had to get up and go and get one herself. Our food was decent despite the fact it was cold it would have been a better experience had there been hot food and hot drinks.
We want for the bottomless brunch and the staff made sure it was bottomless! The beautiful decor, attentive staff and yummy food made for a great few hours. We all enjoyed our food choices and the sweetcorn fritters were a highlight.
If you are going to use your restaurant as a venue for the filming of a reality TV show then please don’t do it when real people are trying to have lunch with clients. Shockingly poor service due to a total failure to understand the requirements of your customers.
We had a glorious brunch there - the bean and chorizo on toast was amazing. Great morning cocktails and a beautiful decor. All attentively served by Matt as well. Will definitely be back.
Lovely evening at Dickie Fitz on Saturday! Staff were very good and friendly - especially Mike and Steve - and the food was pretty much faultless which was very refreshing - we seemed to have paid a lot more for far less stunning food far too often recently. Prices are reasonable and portions perfect along with a good wine list and a few interesting beers (will be back to sample the gins and cocktails). Stand out dishes were the tuna and the ribs to start, the pulled lamb shoulder and Aussie burger mains and then the chocolate pudding to finish was divine. All washed down with a gorgeous (£31) Malbec so happy customers. Our only (tiny) fault was that it was a tad bright in there for the evening - we appreciate that getting the level right for all is tricky but it was definitely more of an evening vibe when we tried the main lights off - it also shows off the stunning feature lights better. Thanks guys, we'll be back!
Unfortunately there were very limited gluten free options and the service was quite slow as they were clearly understaffed. Would definitely recommend to people not restricted by gluten free requirements and the staff were friendly.
Perfect setting for Mother's day lunch. Modern, light and airy ambience and friendly staff. Great cocktails and the snashed avocado is delicious! Recommended.
We went for a birthday but we were generally disappointed with the standard of food compared to other restaurants chosen for birthdays. The pavlova had an unusual appearance!
Staff were very friendly and helpful though
Dickie Fitz looks the part; the decor is great and so are the cocktails, but on this occasion I was a bit disappointed with the food. I had the pulled lamb on flatbread, it was all a bit tough and missing much flavour. But I've had brunch here before and enjoyed the experience. Service was pretty good though, attentive and rectified an error with our bill promptly.
Lovely food, service and atmosphere - However I had an 8.30am reservation and there was still cous cous spilt on the table from the evening before
Thank you very much to Dickie Fitz! I really appreciated the special 'congratulations' dessert they organised for my boyfriend who passed his accounting exams that day! Made it very special and he was very surprised! Food and service was excellent! Thank you, we'll be coming again! :)
Quirky place and it was the Australian vibe I was looking for. The food was lovely, staff polite, shame about not having a Sunday lunch (roast dinner) menu - bit misleading but all in all, I good place to eat!
The food was good, as was the service. We were the only people there for Breakfast, so the ambience was lacking but that may have been because of tube issues that morning.
Really excited about go here, previous reviews were great. Had a phone call from the maître d to check my booking about 4 hours before, I asked for a cosy table by window.
Arrived at the restaurant and was not disappointed, we got our cosy table by a window and decor was gorgeous, lights ambience and was seated and served straight away. Our waitress seemed to be on hand all the time, our glass was never empty, she recommended certain foods to go with others along with cocktails and me and my friend had a lovely evening, was not rushed very relaxed.
Forgot we had the offer of 20% our food bill and the waitress reminded us. Great place, treated very well, excellent food, cocktails and service. Thank you, I would definitely return.
Visited with friends for Sunday Brunch and it was a perfect spot - not too busy so we didn't feel rushed to leave and weren't elbow-to-elbow with other people. Good Bloody Mary's and the pavlova dessert was fantastic. Lovely staff too.
