The food was good. Not terrific but good. The bread and the olive spread was really good! Service was slow even though there weren’t many people there. The prices were crazy expensive. This was a gift from our children and we enjoyed ourselves. We had a spa weekend package which was really nice.
We are foodies and we loved this restaurant!!! Exceptional in all areas.
Short menu so options are few but all are very good. Portions are perfect. Cooked to perfection
Outdoor seating is the best experience to enjoy this OUTSTANDING food, atmosphere, and staff. Not to mention the feel of the pond and golf course view. SIMPLY REWARDING AND AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!
Our server, Amy, was very attentive to my food allergy problem, and noticed right away that my entree had been topped with peruvian peppers (I'm highly allergic to all kinds of peppers, the vegetable). She took it back and in a few minutes the new plate of salmon arrived sans any dangerous toppings! That's the kind of attention that gets my notice. After dinner we moved to the 1808 Bar area becasue the main inspiration for our visit was to hear my friend Nishah DiMeo and trio. Maybe this is not the forum for a comment about the music entertainment area, but it was VERY to hear them from any seats other than directly in front of or right beside Nishah, due to talking in the bar area. I realize you have all kinds of customers in that area, but you did a dis-service to the singer and her musicians. Not sure what can be done about that in such a large open space, but thought I'd tell you my opinion. All service for my friend and me was excellent. Thank you for all your offerings to the public. Beautiful place.....I've been before, but my guest had not. She loved it, too (except our ability to hear Nishah).
We were touring the resort for my wedding coming up and had an AMAZING brunch
Nice place abd good food
the food was amazing for hotel restaurant
if I lived there it would be a top pick
Great spot to for our anniversary dinner. Chef Richard’s sea bass was amazing and our server Taylor was attentive and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again.
Great Customer Service as always! I love Liza, She was the best...
Had a wonderful dinner with friends. Food and service were great!
You cannot beat the atmosphere of the Grandover. We had a very enjoyable dinner with the very best crab cakes I have found outside of Maryland. They were full of lump crab meat. The way crab cakes are supposed to be made! Thank you chef!
Sea bass and chicken dinners were excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and was included with the golf package. I would go back.
Wonderful atmosphere and very good service. Worst martini (at the bar) I've ever had! Ordered dry and got way too much vermouth plus glass only half full and not cold.
Salmon was over salted but mushroom ravioli very good. Short ribs were good, also. Hummus appetizer was as good as mine and pita was warm. Nice touch. Overall good for a hotel restaurant.
Everything was wonderful!! We really enjoyed ourselves!!
The food was great and the service was excellent, we love the atmosphere and the ambiance ❤️
Have always loved this spot, but not sure they have gotten back on track yet.
Ambience and service was excellent as always, however the food was uninspiring (especially given the prices). While the appetizers were good, the entrees were disappointing.
Tried three different entrees (pork, fried chicken and short ribs), but none were very impressive. Each was a bit bland with very little flavor/sauce, sides were minimal and somewhat tasteless. Risotto was over cooked as well.
Really hoping that they can recapture their mojo from pre-pandemic. Not there yet!
Great place to get away.
Great place for good experience and great food.
We love this restaurant! High quality food, creative menu, superb view on the golf course, quiet and great for conversation.
Don’t let the name fool you - this is not an Italian restaurant and the food is below average.
Celebrated our daughters graduation dinner. Food and service were excellent.
My group of five diners were seated on time and waited on with upmost care. Orders were taken for drinks, appetizers and main entrées without any problems. The view of the golf course added to the special effect of the occasion.
We had a wonderful time. The food abd service were excellent!
The staff are always excellent and the food delicious
We had cocktails at the bar which was amazing, then dinner at Di Valletta. The Chilean sea bass might have been the best that I have ever had. We will visit there again!
Beautiful dinner and great service! We met some friends who we don’t get to see often, and it was a perfect place.
Everything was very good to outstanding from the service to the meal. The only thing that prevented it from being a perfect experience was that we were seated next to an emergency exit door ( clearly identified as such ) but was used several times by people attending a wedding held outside. This resulted in our menus being blown off the table by the surge of cold wind. After the second time I actually told others who wanted to go thru the door to use another one. Other couples near us were not happy about that either.
The above would not prevent us from coming back in the future.
I love Grandover; it's a beautiful property. And, I appreciate how the property is fully engaged with the community. However, the restaurant left a bit to be desired in terms of food quantity/quality and waitstaff. The hosts were nice. The waitress complained about students/teenagers at another table, flung our bill on the table, never refilled glasses, poor presentation. No polish. My friends plate was full and looked appetizing. I had "The Grand", which the waitress had to ask me what it was. Two eggs fried together came out on a single piece of bread on a HUGE plate. That was it. Literally, two eggs on a piece of bread. The prices are comparable to other sit-down restaurants. Loved sitting by the fireplace after eating but the restaurant left a lot to be desired.
A pleasant place to have a wonderful brunch. The meal was above average, and service as well. A special birthday at a special place, thank you for making the event memorable.
The food, atmosphere and service were all amazing. We have dined in the restaurant for breakfast, but this was our first time dining for dinner. It will definitely not be our last! The chicken and ribeye were both cooked and seasoned to perfection! Thank you for an amazing belated anniversary dinner!
We always have a wonderful experience at this restaurant and the food is outstanding. Our waiter, Kevin was so responsive and personable. We hope others will join us in supporting this local establishment!
The food was terrible the sweet potatoes fries was cold and tasted so bad the mimosa was more orange juice the another thing nice place but bad food and for been price should be have also more options
And good food sorry but I would not recommend this place to anyone
Outstanding! We loved it. We celebrated my daughters birthday and it was great. The service both in the restaurant and the bar was fabulous!! Thank you!
Lovely decor and tasty food.
Our server was very hospitable.
We will definitely be back.
Very enjoyable. Good good & service. Very SAFE vis a vis COVID.
We came here Jan 3 for dinner with reservations with one person coming from Raleigh and another coming from Charlotte. Without any notice, there was a closed sign on the door. The front desk was absolutely useless and literally could not say anything about the unexpected closure. They couldn’t recommend another place and we were stranded without a place to eat. Highly disappointed in the service here. Also opentable is still allowing tables to be booked even though it’s closed.
Only suggestion is all staff needs to consider the mask and speak up. Had to ask multi servers to repeat themselves multiple times. Other than that excellent.
Di Valletta is always a great choice for brunch/breakfast.
A beautiful place with good service and an outstanding menu. Very pleasant experience always.
