Was sat at a table that was like having dinner on a highway. Constantly being bumped. Horrible experience.

Best chopped steak ever! We had dinner on Friday, Nov 1 and went back and ordered the same thing the next Friday, Nov 8! Caesar salad is outstanding as well as the key lime pie. The second time we did the "supper club" menu that had a lot of choices to choose from (including a glass of wine!) for $25 (outstanding value) if you are seated before 5:15 pm! Nice front desk people and servers! We will definitely become "regulars"

Sat in a table near the back door, and it was freezing blowing on us. I had a combo. The whole plate was greasy. The shrimp were small, too much breading and greasy, the lobster was good, but the crab cake was very greasy and burned. I had asked for a vegetable instead of the potatoes, but I got the potatoes!! I eat there often, but this was not a good meal, and way overpriced for what it was.

DiPescara can always be relied upon for good food and service, just like all the other Lettuce Entertain You restaurants.

We go to Di Pescara on a regular basis because the food is usually excellent and the service is usually outstanding. Unfortunately, that was not the case on this latest trip. There were 3 of us and we each ordered the full chopped salad. We were disappointed. It wasn't as good as usual. The lettuce was limp. The toppings (corn, soy nuts, wasabi peas, carrots, etc.) were skimpy. Our waiter disappeared for long periods of time so we had to wait to order dessert and again to pay. All in all, not our best visit.

Go to place in Northbrook for lunch. Food and service always good. A tiny bit disappointed that they took the tuna burger off the menu; it must not have been a big seller, but it was one of my favorites.

We had dinner Saturday night with friends. On previous visits food was tasty and well prepared. On this night food was mediocre at best - the fish which is usually very good was tasteless even though I had requested it be prepared with oregano and garlic. The sushi was good and well presented. The other 2 people in our party had fish entrees which were nothing special. Our waitress was hurried- she did not offer gluten free bread to my husband and I knowing we were using gluten free menus. We had to request it 2 times. The noise level in the main dining room was very loud and made talking to our friends difficult. When it came time for dessert the waitress looked at me and my husband and said “well, you guys are out of luck”. We had to remind her that there was a gluten free dessert available. An expensive meal for a mediocre experience.

Excellent service, which is a great start. A birthday lunch, all had chopped salads, each with a special request.
Our server handled it smoothly, and brought a delicious molten lava cake as s treat.
Will return for sure!!

We had a new member of the waitstaff. He was very personable and knew the menu. However, there were a few things that we had a problem with. First, when we told him we only wanted water to drink, he continued to ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. I think that question is very appropriate when asking about dessert. However, we didn't need to be asked after we got our salad, while we were waiting for our main course, when we received our main course, etc. It was annoying and felt like a bad attempt at upcharging. Secondly, we finished our meal and waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted our food wrapped or if we wanted dessert. I'm not sure where our waitstaff was during that period of time. Someone else came to finally help us wrap up our food. And our waitstaff came after that. Lastly, although we were asked at the beginning of our meal if we needed additional water, we were not asked again - even though our water glasses were almost empty. We dine frequently at DiPescara and have been spoiled with excellent service. This was not up to the restaurant's usual standards. I'm guessing that the fact that he was new had a great deal to do with the issues. And of course, we will still be back!

We were last at Di Pescara a couple years ago. At that time, the menu contained a lot of protein options. I had then enjoyed a chicken paillard covered with gairdineria (the menu then had other topping choices). Tonight, the menu was so slimmed down, but I thought I was ordering the same chicken. But what I got was tasteless chicken, covered in tough, dry, fibrous greens that seemed to be from the forest floor. No taste at all. No attempt to make the diner happy, IMO. Never going back.

One of Chicago's best restaurants for it's menu, food preparation and taste. Drinks are expensive, but delicious.
Unfortunately service in the afternoon leaves a great deal to be desired. However we will return for the food.

Very dependable north suburban restaurant. Menu has changed over time and not necessarily for the better. Lacks a good side salad and no longer has a homerun dish. That being said still a great choice for before or after a movie.

Very disappointed with this restaurant tonight. Been here many times. Price of wine and cocktails out of site expensive, previously not so. The hostess at the front desk was so rude. "Get out of my way I'm busy" when I was just checking in for a reservation. No water at the table, had to ask the waitress for water. No fillup on bread. Ordered mushrooms for a pasta dish, and they never showed up. The grilled calamari was non-existent on the plate mostly arugula salad and giardiniera. No utensils(cracker, scissors) for the lobster. The soup was barely warm. and so on...... Come on you can do better then this for a "Let Us Entertain You" restaurant.
