Everything was amazing. Server guided us through new items and specials with ease and honest feedback. We really enjoyed our meals and desserts. Can’t wait for next visit.
Regrettably I was very sick at the end of the meal, this has happened also to other friends.
Food is always good, but the service that couple of times as been off!
We love to go to Di Paolo as a date night, but this is the second time we have made reservations through Open Table for 7:00 pm and had to wait 20-30 minutes...really! We have been regulars of the restaurants for a long time, but this drives me crazy, waiting an additional 30 minutes for table. Another pet peeve is the the corkage fee ($25.00), especially when the server (Heather) opened the bottle poured a taste for my husband, and never bothered to come back to the table to pour more wine in between our salad and entree...she was engaged in a lengthy conversation with the two gentlemen where I think Heather was working a bigger tip. Just a really disappointing evening as I like the Owner, Sue and her husband.
Heather is an excellent waitress, love her service a lot.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and nice 👍.
The food wasn't what we had come to expect. Ask shared with the staff that my wife was having a birthday and asked to do something special. The waiter simply acknowledged her, but didn't bring a simple desert with a candle. Strangely enough the table next to us also had a Birthday and the same waiter brought them a desert and told them that it was courtesy of the house. Pretty lousy experience.
Great fresh pasta. Complementary sauces are excellent. Half price wine on Sunday is a bonus.
The service and the food was absolutely perfect! The noise level was so loud that both my husband and myself could not even have a conversation with the waitress without straining.
It is a very lovely restaurant-but some sounds panels should definitely Imbe considered to absorb some of the noise!
Still the best food and service in town. Our waitress was amazing and went out of her way for us 5+ stars!!!
Been coming here for 20 years now!! Still think it is the best Italian food in town. I will continue to go here until they close the doors.
How Wonderful to be able to write a Glowing review!!! The veal chop was mouth-watering---I mean we looked forward to every bite!!! My wife wanted a simple side dish of angel hair with basil and tomato sauce. This wasn't on the menu, but the kitchen came through for us/ no problem and with their pleasure! . Again, just Delicious!!! Our server, Matt discussed the wine list and we enjoyed a Barolo. So, with Matt's knowledge and charm and the Excellence of the kitchen, Wow, we had an wonderful experience at Di Paolo and look forward to our next trip to the Atlanta area (we're in SoCal).
I've lived in the area for nearly 20 years, and this was the first chance I've had to eat at Di Paolo. Let's just say I'm wondering why it took me so long! My sister and I wanted a nearby place to sit back and catch up on things. Di Paolo turned out to be the perfect place. The food we had was expertly cooked and served beautifully. The wine selection was excellent (we enjoyed 2 bottles of the Sonoma Cab). However the best part of the experience was the service. Our server, Matthew, who we learned has been at Di Paolo for about 3 years, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He knew we were catching up with each other, so he allowed us time to simply sit and talk - but was sure to keep our water and (more importantly) wine glasses filled. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.
My grandson loved sitting at the chef table and watching the cooks prepare the food which was magnificent as usual. Jumbo stone crab claws, so sweet, with mustard sauce to die for. Red snapper was flaky and delicious. Could not resist ordering coconut cream pie and so glad we didn’t. Thank you DiPaolo for never letting us down.
Di PAolo was consistently excellent for many years (at least 20 years...). We have been regulars.
Our last 2 week-ends in a row meals were disappointing .
Bruschetta was below average both times: plain bread barely toasted ;with a cheese spread and a piece of beets Last time seafood pasta for me and this time clams linguine not comparable to what it used to be. Osso Buco was not cooked enough (all 3 people agreed). The salads were great, as well as the scampi and my husband’s veal chop. We have ordered 3 desserts, and only bread pudding stood out. We have been regulars for many years and have been coming at least once a month. Friday week before and last Saturday, some of the food was not to their standards. Hope it is just temporary, will try again soon.
Love it. Recommend highly
Place is always great!
Fabulous as always. Look for award to the bruschetta of the day and the specials!!
Best service anywhere. The owner Sue, cares about everyone there, and it shows.
We had delicious meals and excellent service. We’re thrilled to have this gem of an Italian restaurant.
Super good and servi
Gluten free pasta available. I now get you enjoy their fabulous carbonara!!
Originally we went for the stone crabs, being from South Florida, it’s really hard to find them in Georgia!! Unfortunately when we arrived at 7pm for our reservation they were all sold out. We were sad but stayed to check out the other options! Pleasantly surprised, everything was delicious! Gnocchis, lasagna, caprese salad and bread pudding were fabulous!! The service was excellent!! JR took great care of us!
My family of four had dinner at Di Paolo to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a very enjoyable meal. We will return.
The only reason that the food didn’t receive at least 4-stars is because my wife was not thrilled with the pasta that she ordered. It had chicken, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms in a pesto sauce. Otherwise, the other couple and I were very please with our meals.
Food is always excellent! Friday night the place was packed and staff seems a little overwhelmed. Service was slower than in the past. And noise level was really loud! But no other place in the area for Italian cuisine! We love it!!
This longtime neighborhood eatery never disappoints. We hadn't been to Di Paolo in several years and we vowed to make it a regular date night after the fantastic meal we had on Tuesday. My only gripe is that the serving size of the linguine dish that I ordered was on the smallish size. Other than that, 5 stars across the board.
Outstanding service. And wonderful food. Worth it !!!
We were at di Paolo on Saturday evening at peak time. Even though it was noisy, it was a fun, enjoyable evening. Definitely will go back!
Met friends and Heather was our server and was terrific, proving recommendations of wine per our preference and free samples to try first. We love their wood fired oven pizza which was a little charred but still fine. All others enjoyed their entrees and the great neighborhood vibe. We will be back soon!
Food and service were good. As usual. No complaints. Thank you!
As usual, food was superb. This was our first time to have Matthew as our server and he did a spectacular job in a restaurant full of people. Way to go Matthew, will request you next time for sure.
Very good food and service. Interior is nice but the place sits in a dumpy shopping center anchored by a Goodwill
One of the best Italian restaurants in Atlanta.
Good food , fun , servers were attentive
Best service and food in North Atlanta!!
Always a fantastic experience! From service to the amazing food, we will always come back!
Great food and the best Manhattans in Atlanta
The oysters as an appetizer were fantastic. I did think we needed crustier bread to dip in olive oil. Our waitress was knowledgeable, very pleasant and very professional. Loved being treated to biscotti as an anniversary treat. Also thought the entree portions were perfect.
Our favorite restaurant and we drive from Toco Hills. Zach is the best! Amazing food.
