Great atmosphere and staff. Food was good, entertainment and dancing was fun. We will be back for sure!
It was a girls night, first time at DiBenedetto’s, we will be back.
Great food, great service, and great hospitality. I would recommend DiBenedetto's to anyone looking for a great weekend night out as well as for a family meal during the week. It is always great.
Good food and were very helpful when we had a dead battery in our car. Kitchen staff came out and jumped the car for us.
Very good service with a family touch, food was prepared and certianly a quality over quantity palce
Fantastic food, reasonable prices and very authentic
Great food and great experience!
Service was slow and she was not knowledgeable on entrees, side dish was cold, food overall was fair. Sauce was sweet and didn't taste homemade.
We both had whitefish, it was delicious!
The service was great too!
We love this place. Their food is great, service is wonderful. We especially like substituting spaghetti squash for pasta.
Outstanding food and service....specials are always creative. Italian food at best! Many dishes you cant find anywhere else.
Our meal was very relaxing. The food was very good, the service great, and the entertainment made the dinner experience very special.
My boyfriend and I went out on an impromptu date night. Seeing as how we often don't go out, I wanted to go somewhere unfamiliar but yet, worth it. I was really impressed with their authentic Italian pastas and their service. And when they brought out their dessert tray, I just wanted to eat the entire thing! Their chocolate lava cake was to die for. We'll definitely be going there again for more intimate meals.
Enjoyed meeting friends. Great entertainment. Service a little slow. But allowed us to enjoy and talk.!!
Good as always ! We've never had a bad experience at dB's.
Food was great, Service was great, Music was fantastic
We enjoyed wonderful live music!!! Great food, had the Pollo Lemoncello artichoke with angel hair xo
Food was great!
Service was slow, never got desert ordered.
Karaoke singer ok- but after awhile every song sounded alike.
Went back without a reservation and they would not accommodate.
Food was great. Server was distracted and messed up our meal but gave us 40
For our next visit. But also charged us for the meal they messed up and an extra glass of wine. We didn’t argue because everything was messed up already we figured it would take too long for them to fix it.
Been there a few times though last night seemed a little slow service by waitress and salads seemed smaller too
Service and food is always great. The thing that can make or break a night can sometimes be the other guests and it's hard for the restaurant to really do anything. No fault of the establishment.
Whereas there was nothing particularly wrong with the experience, there was nothing outstanding about the service or food. It seems like a local favorite, attracted an older crowd, and had a dated feel. The menu was o.k., but not inspired. The rankings on OpenTable were very good, so I was expecting more. I'm sure they have a loyal following, but I feel there are better options for Italian food.
Service was excellent as was the food. Atmosphere very inviting and comfortable. Price was a little on the high side although the food was excellent both in its presentation and preparation.
Birthday dinner..Had the 2 specials, neck bones and soft shell crab..Both were outstanding. Service was great. Will be back soon.
A great choice for Italian cuisine. Authentic entrees made with care and and quality ingredients. I have recommended this for my friends on many occasions !!!
I have been here a few times now and have never had a bad experience.
Highly recommend it.
This is one great place for Italian food...Great service, our server was friendly, knowledgeable, the food was outstanding,,,,This is a place where if you call ahead with a request they will do everything possible to provide it,,,good place for anyone who wants great Italian food...A real neighborhood gem,,,
We have been here several times but not in a while. Some things have changed. I miss the owner coming around to the tables to greet the customers. I miss the complimentary limoncello after dinner. I miss the nice Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and the like music they used to have. We fell in love with the atmosphere in our early days of dining here. The music was not to our tastes this time. That said, we had good service and the food was very good. The prices seem a little high but maybe that’s always been that way. Anyway, not sure if we’ll be back since it just doesn’t have the same vibe as it used to.
Went to our favorite restaurant for our anniversary. Excellent as always.
Great host. Good entertainment on the weekends. Wine was reasonable by the bottle but most important is the quality of food. Will be back many times with friends
The food here is fantastic. We went for lunch and were disappointed that one of our favorite items was not on the menu. We asked the waiter and he said it was a dinner item but they would make it for us. He carefully explained that they would have to charge the dinner price which was fine with us. We have found that they will go out of their way to make you happy.
Food was great and live entertainment was wonderful.
Wonderful service. Felt like a family restaurant where they take a lot of pride in giving you a great experience.
The Eggplant parm tasted like it had been in the freezer for a long time. Had to go find server to pay bill. Very disappointing experience.
We were seated as soon as we arrived. The hostess and wait staff were welcoming. I ordered a house specialty, grilled scallops with sun dried tomatoes and angel hair pasta. It was very good. My husband had the chicken Milanese which he enjoyed. The atmosphere was pleasant. There aren’t many good Italian restaurants to choose from in the Northwest suburbs. I would recommend this one.
Great food, great wine list, great atmosphere. Always a pleasure to dine with them.
Nice place to take clients for business dinner. Very good food and excellent service.
We always enjoy our meal, service and entertainment every time we’re there. It is just like being with your whole family!!
It had been an extended time since I had visited Di Benedetto Trattoria, so I approached the evening as a new guest. We were greeted warmly by the owner and promptly seated at our reservation time. We had a professional and perfect server who was there at all the right times, yet allowed my wife and I to have uninterrupted conversation. We had pre-dinner cocktails that were well made and allowed us to relax. We had a difficult time picking from an enticing, yet not overwhelming menu. The owner returned to see how we were doing and we asked for his recommendations on entrees. I also asked our server as well. They both pointed us in the right direction. My wife enjoyed one of the evening's specials, a pounded pork chop served Saltimbocca style, and she substituted cheese risotto for angel hair. It was fabulous. I opted for the Veal Napoleon, which offered layered veal, eggplant, gorgonzola cheese and mozzarella cheese. To their credit they inquired if I truly liked gorgonzola prior to my selection. It was beautiful, rich and cheesy with delicious layers of goodness.
We enjoyed a nice bottle of Italian wine for dinner that complimented our meal choices perfectly. We had dessert of bread pudding and were provided with complimentary crema di limoncello as an after dinner digestive, that provided a perfect finale.
Both our dishes were prepared with care and originality, but also to provide satisfaction and comfort versus only originality.
The ambiance of a restaurant in a strip mall is always an interesting conundrum, but once inside, I was reminded of a old time supper club back in the day. Warm, inviting and comforting. There was also a pair of singers who serenaded all the diners without being obtrusive or too loud. A very nice touch as well.
All in all it was a great experience, and clearly the food will bring me back in the near term, as I felt I had renewed a relationship with an old friend.
Food and service were terrific, however the electronic band and singer were annoying! It was amateur karaoke night but, no karaoke!
Bologna’s were genuine and the minestrone soup was fantastic, nothing was hot, it was all warm. I would go back for sure on a night without the music!
