The exciting twenty-eight seat restaurant d’floret is a modern elegantly-lit stage, featuring an open kitchen and adjoining dining room that exhibit the chef’s dual passions: Foy’s paintings and culinary mastery. The space is accented by a floor-to- ceiling Black Walnut Nakashima panel, lighting by Ayala Serfaty, the Israeli artist, with Arnie Jacobsen modern Classic chairs, finishing the sleek warm welcoming room. Please note, due to high demand and limited seating, in addition to online holds we require diners call the restaurant to reconfirm your by 12pm day of, or it will not be honored.

How is it that we have overlooked d'floret? We regularly dine in Lawrenceville and would probably come up with the same list of favorites as most would. How did we miss d'floret? I have no idea, especially since we were fans of Denis Foy from his restaurant in Lawrenceville years back. All I can say is - stupendous. My new favorite. The tian of crab (prepared perfectly - delicious!), the chilled pea soup, the gnocchi, the wild caught Alaskan salmon, the rack of lamb, and especially the gateau de langoustine were out of this world - all prepared in front of us by the master chief himself in the open kitchen design of the restaurant. We dined on a Friday night and it wasn't packed (small restaurant), so I suspect there may be others who are unaware. Move d'floret to the top of your list of Lambertville restaurants. We will be back to try everything else on the menu, and then go through again ... and again!
As always food is delicious.
Love the intimate atmosphere and Dennis and his wife are delightful. Food was absolutely over the top!
We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The chef can be seen preparing your meal, which was delicious. The scallops were amazing. We decided they were the best profiteroles we have ever tasted!
First time there and really like it. We sat in the backyard courtyard which was very comfortable. Food was great: highly recommend the Ahi Tuna. You can take nice 20 minute walk via the bridge to New Hope for after dinner entertainment
Consistently excellent. This is Lambertville's finest restaurant, hands down. I've dined here often and am always impressed. My out of town guests and business colleagues have come to love it also. This BYOB is devine.
Don’t know how I missed out going to this little gem before now. Well it is very small and tucked away on a side street but it was a wonderful meal. The gnocchi were out of this world. A special for the evening was a simple shrimp over Tuscan beans dish. Simple but such a wonderful, flavorful dish. My husband enjoyed the salmon. As the chef said “just pick anything you won’t be disappointed”. I’ll be returning to see if he’s right. 😋
Excellent gem on quiet street in lambertville! Can’t wait to go back!
My wife and I first fined here several weeks ago and couldn’t wait to bring friends there to share the experience. This husband and wife team complement each other perfectly. We will be back many times despite the long drive to get there.
Absolutely Spectacular from appetizers through desserts for all four of us ( we all ordered different items). The fresh pea and wild mushrooms soups were delicious and the chicken the best anyone has ever had.
Very warm and inviting staff.
On top of that, it’s BYOB !
What else could you ask for!!
The restaurant was excellent. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly. My only complaint is that is took a little while to be seated. Everything else was fantastic. I would definitely return.
Restaurant is small and cozy but did not feel crowded. The asparagus soup was very tasty and rack of lamb was divine, cooked just right. My husband loved the salmon. Service was fine and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the chef's special dishes. We would definitely visit again and recommend to our friends.
Exceptional food. Gracious service. Great value too.
One of our all time favorites. The gnocchi is world class as is the crab. Have never had a bad meal there and the husband/wife owners are fabulous. Just a great spot
The food is a cut above other fine dining spots in the area, especially the treatment of fish. Dennis Foy is a wonderful chef
A wonderful experience. Like visiting a friend who is a gourmet cook and eating in their kitchen. Definitely not fancy. Definitely worth it.
Oh! How we love this place!!!
Our second visit did not disappoint. Divine halibut filet and scallops....both prepared to perfection. NY city dining in Lambertville!
I’m afraid to review this restaurant out of fear that I’ll never again land a Saturday reservation. Our meals were among the best of a lifetime, nothing short of perfect. The decor is minimalist, the noise level high but the food is simply outstanding. I had mushroom soup, rack of lamb and the apple tart, all could not be better. My wife had gnocchi, sea scallops and the signature chocolate dessert. We could not stop raving about the experience all the way home, almost an hour and a half drive. We can’t wait to go back. And thank you for a memorable meal.
Great cozy place. The chef/owner is amazing. The menu is small, but all dishes are fantastic.
My high expectations were not met. The salad was very small for the price and the dressing was just OK. The chicken for two was highly touted, but very overpriced and nothing special. Service was warm, but not attentive. Nice seating in the back garden.
Fabulous. One of the best meals I’ve had in years. The mushroom soup special was quite delicious. As were the halibut and langoustine dishes. Great value and an absolute neighborhood gem.
Intimate, friendly, classy gem of a restaurant. Chef Foy is a master, subtly mixing flavors and textures. We will be back!
We are a group of four old friends from PA and NY who meet several times a year in Lambertville, PA, for dinner and a play at the Bucks County Playhouse. Each time we meet to see a play, we try a new restaurant. Last week we discovered D'floret; and, after the first bite of food, we knew we had died and gone to heaven. D'floret is a small restaurant with perhaps 27 seats, and it's only open on Thursday evenings through Sunday evenings. The dining room is run by a couple; the husband is a classically-trained chef and the wife is a charming maitre d' with extensive knowledge of food preparation. The menu is limited, as you might expect it to be in such a small establishment; but every dish is a gem. The mushroom soup has the intense and dark taste of pureed morels from deep in the forest with just a touch of cream mixed in to hold the mixture together. Crab cakes require no bread to act as a binding agent; instead the chef relies on a few finely chopped onions, a pinch of thyme, and just enough butter to help the crab meat hold its shape while it is lightly sautéed. The lamb chops are tender, meaty, and just the proper shade of pink. The dessert list includes my favorite profiteroles. But these are not the clunky, tough shells of childhood that were filled with ice cream from the grocery store and then covered with Hershey's syrup. These are delicate cream puff shells worthy of a Michelin three-star French restaurant that have vanilla ice cream infused with an Italian coffee bean carefully spooned into the shells, and that are then drizzled with melted dark Valrhona chocolate. This dessert awakens childhood memories and improves on those memories all at the same time. D'floret is definitely a treasure that deserves all the praise we can possibly give it. Note: D'floret accepts cash and personal checks only. No credit cards.
Excellent! The food is amazing and the service outstanding. This is our second visit and my husband and I plan on making this a weekly date!
Always quaLity. Best consistently good restaurant in New Hope/Lambertville area. Only negative, tables too close together.
Wonderful experience! Delicious food, looking forward to returning.
Attentive staff, excellent food and intimate setting
My wife and I had dinner here for her birthday. Among the highlights were the scallops: they were happy to this entree into a small mid-course so that we didn't have to make up our minds and pick only two dishes to try! We will definitely come back next time we are in Lambertville.
Exceptional!!! This place is truly amazing. There are very few tables, but it doesn't feel small; it feels intimate, it feels European, and it makes you feel lucky to have scored a table. The menu offered dishes I had heard of but never seen on other menus, and the food was outstanding. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go back. I would recommend this to anyone for any occasion. My new favorite.
This was my wife and I's 4th time there and again the meal and atmosphere as always was fantastic. Chef Dennis Foy is a master at his craft.
Amazing people and amazing food. Dennis and Estella are such a great team. Can't wait to go back!
As always, the food and service are more than anyone can imagine!
Nothing short of brilliant, as usual! Try the Amish Chicken for two . . . on second thought, don't! That will be one less chicken for us.
D'Floret experience is like having a spectacular meal created and served in an excellent chef's home dining room/kitchen. If you are seeking a restaurant to see and be seen-don't go here. However, if you wish to have a creative and tasteful meal served by friendly staff... d'floret is the place. I had the venison (best I've ever been served across the US) and my wife's lamb chops were superb! Absolutely order the Profiteroles for desert - YUM. Chef Foy cooks on his terms and his artistic results are wonderful. The table service is led by his wife Estella who is very engaging and ensures that the operation runs smoothly.
BYOB is a great plus.
Food was excellent in every respect. Creative menu using local fresh "farm to table" approach. Setting and environment was very casual, private very subdued. Dennis and his wife could not be more charming.
DFloret was an unexpected delight! The mushroom soup with truffles was absolutely delish and gnocchi were so light and delicate--perfect consistency and taste. The food was excellent and the restaurant is very nice, service great! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The service was initially attentive but as the meal progressed, the service was increasingly bad. We had to ask twice for more bread. Couldn’t finish 3/4 of a dessert and asked that it be wrapped to take home. Server threw it out instead. When we brought this to the attention of the restaurant, nothing was done or offered to make up for mistake.
My wife and I consider ourselves to be foodies (don’t most people these days?). However, after dining out at numerous restaurants (approx once a week) we have not had a meal in the NYC/Philly area in the last 6 months as good as this (comparable to our trip 6 months ago to Paris). The food was succulent, passionate and personal. This will defiantly be a regular spot for us. A diamond in the rough!
Excellent. Innovative and delicious menu. Loved the goat cheese tart with tomato confit as the appetizer. Steak was likely the best I’ve ever had. Small intimate restaurant with a friendly staff with the just the right level of attentiveness. Very pleased and will definitely visit again.
