Fabulous food and warm, efficient service. It was very loud in the restaurant, making conversation hard, but once the table next to us left we could talk.
I love this place. The food is out-of-this-world delicious and you're treated like family.
Great, comfortable local restaurant that attracts people who appreciate food, service and ambiance. Chef Dennis and hostess Estella make everyone feel welcome and comfortable in their cozy restaurant.
This was truly one of the best meals I have ever had. The appetizers were made from the freshest ingredients. You could taste the care that went into preparation. And the lamb chops were out of this world.
Excellent food and service
What an intimate dining experience that is a personal expression of the owners. The food is sublime and since it's a BYO, the liquor bill is tempered. D'floret is a destination restaurant with a casual ambience, appropriate for a weekday evening out or the most special of occasions.
I rarely write a review; however, feel compelled to for our visit to D'Floret. I can't wait to go back. I've seen the building for some time now and always wondered what it was. So happens we selected to go to D'Floret without realizing this is the restaurant I've been wondering about. So glad we did.
Excellent milieu, excellent menu, excellent meal, excellent service, owners are outstanding.
To sum it up - we will be back!
An amazing and wonderful experience. Owner was gratuitous and attentive, service excellent and the food was perfectly prepared with top ingredients. A memorable night out.
If the Skate is on special don’t miss it!
A beautiful setting to celebrate our newly empty nest. A lovely spot hidden away from the crowded, trendy streets of Lambertville. The small, intimate space is charming and unique, with beautiful artwork and stunning centerpiece lighting. The hostess and staff were attentive, yet unobtrusive. The menu was varied and creative. Each of our selections were beautifully presented and quite delicious. Try the creme brûlée... it was remarkable!
Rarely does a $30-$40 entree live up to the billing. I would have paid double.
WE HAVE HAD MANY LOVELY MEALS AT D'FLORET. WE LOVE THE INTIMACY OF THE SPACE AND THE CHEF AND HIS WIFE ARE VERY WELCOMING.
Food was off the charts! We had squash soup (I’ll never forget), rack of lamb (how in the world did the chef create this?), smoke salmon/beet appetizer (I almost cried it was so good), and a tuna main course.
It’s our new favorite restaurant! We’ve been going about twice a month- perfectly seasoned food. I never even ask for a salt shaker- it’s just so flavorful. Service is attentive by Estella. Recommendations are always spot on. Every time we take someone new, they can’t wait to go back. Very creative menu. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
Outstanding food— a really amazing place. We’ll be back!
Best meal Ive had in a long time. This hidden gem will be my new go to place (byob & cash only). Definitely order the Tian crab (app) and share the Strip Steak (it’s enormous). Don’t skimp on dessert, you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic French cuisine. Owners are very friendly.
Consistently an absolutely wonderful and intimate restaurant. Delicious entrees and desserts!
Great food great value!! Husband and wife owners, they were very friendly and made the dinning experience!!
We have s handful of go to restaurants but most have disappointed us at one point or another. That had never been the case at d'floret. The chef selects only the best ingredients and allows them to speak for themselves with simple yet extraordinary preparation. I've had the rack of lamb on about 60% of our visits but somehow tonight's example was the best ever. My wife is even more loyal to the scallops. Selecting from the list of appetizers is quite a challenge and we have never once been disappointed. Mushroom soul for me this time, Tian of crab the usual for my wife. I could easily select three appetizer for my meal.
Fantastic meal! Nice selection and delicious. Intimate setting. Great service. Highly recommend.
Last night was our first time dining at this delicious French bistro. Our friends recommended we go for our anniversary since they loved the food. I totally agree with them. First I would recommend eating outback since it's so peaceful & inviting. We started with the Tian Crab & mushroom crepe & both dishes were amazing. We savored every bite. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Dry Aged 16oz Sirloin steak cooked to perfection. I had the scallops & they were so tender, not gritty & very flavorful. I would definitely recommend their homemade desserts. The Apple/walnut & Peach were the best pies we have ever had & were topped off with their vanilla bean ice cream. Looking forward to going back soon.🍷🥰
The food here is outstanding. I enjoyed a tian of crab as an appetizer and a rack of lamb with sweet corn and polenta as an entree and finished with peach pie and French vanilla ice cream for dessert. The dry rub on the lamb provided excellent seasoning, and the meat itself was so tender. Last-of-the-season peaches in the pie were delicious! Overall, an excellent birthday celebration - topped off with a crisp bottle of Inglenook’s Blancaneaux and a nice conversation with the chef at the end of the meal.
Enjoyed a peaceful meal on the patio. The mushroom crepe had great flavor and the sirloin was done to perfection.
Food was very good but pricey. The service was just OK
Still amazing after all these years. Great appetizers with mushrooms — check (a wonderful soup and an equally delicious crepe). Terrific main courses — check (swordfish, duck and what was tantamount to a langoustine pot pie). Desserts that honor the rest of the dinner — check (peach pie and profiteroles). Service remains top-notch. Just a wonderful experience.
Wonderful choice of simple to understand but delicious food. Very understated surroundings, no pretense. Very relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed it despite 15 hours of travelling!
We were able to dine outside on a beautiful evening. Food is excellent
Service was prompt. Owner very pleasant.
We had the mushroom crepe which was excellent, scallops which was quite good and a rack of lamb with Ratatouille which was also excellent. However, it took forever for bread to arrive and then for our meal to be served and the lamb was lukewarm. The table next to us arrived about the same time we did and they were served and left 30 minutes before us . They took the rack of lamb back and reheated it and it was fine.
We always have an outstanding experience at d'floret, and Saturday was no exception. Fresh, delicious menu options every time. The mushroom crepe and chicken entree were wonderful and we can't wait to get back there again.
It was great. My meal was amazing. I would go back
Tha food was delicious & the staff was very attentive. However, we were very disappointed to discover that it was a BYOB. We had no idea & never saw it on your web site. Also, I kept getting notifications about our reservation but no mention of bringing our own wine. Fortunately there was a liquor store a block away.
Also we had no idea there was outdoor seating. It was a beautiful evening & we were never told or offered the opportunity to dine outdoors. We would have enjoyed the opportunity.
The highest quality ingredients combined with artistic preparation make d’floret a dining experience that never disappoints.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the restaurant on Friday evening. We sat in the courtyard and it was delightful, relaxing, and quiet. The food was terrific as usual and we had a leisurely dinner. I very much enjoyed the salmon (cooked to perfection) and the mushroom appetizer was excellent as was the peach tart. The service was just about perfect. Of course, we will return when we are visiting the area. You are in fine hands at d'floret.
I really liked the food, which was well prepared and evident of its freshness and quality. The atmosphere is quite noisy, and tight quarters, at least in the interior space. We did have a reservation, but still waited about 20+ minutes, which I wouldn’t have minded, had the staff and hostess communicated the status a little better. I had the mushroom crepes, which were good and the rack of lamb, which was excellent and perfectly cooked and seasoned! My husband had the cucumber salad, tomato confit (that I believe the hostess coined as “summer-in-a-bowl” and she was spot on) which was absolutely delicious and the veal Bolognese, which was also very good, but think left him a little underwhelmed after seeing my rack of lamb.
If you’re looking for city quality food, this is the place in new hope or lambertville. Owner operated with a great vibe.
Another great meal along with friendly service!
This place was a wonderful “find” for us. We frequently dine in the Lambertville area but had never been here. We loved the garden setting. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Each dish was well prepared and tasted very fresh. The evening was a delight and we will be back!
All was excellent
The ambience of the patio was delightful. The staff is very friendly and the service was just the right amount of attentive.
The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. We had the cucumber salad - tangy, fresh and light. I had the lamb, which was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the salmon, which was also tasty (yes! I tried some)
Great date spot!
