Our party was originally 12 which increased to 20 for a couple days before they accommodated us perfectly our servers were awesome our separate checks for all correct we had a great time
Dexter’s is one of our favorite restaurants. We’ve been here before and will continue to go in the future. The service is always great and friendly. The food is elegant in a down to earth environment. If you are into music, go a little bit later and you can enjoy many different genres.
People and the food were great
Dinner with family and a toddler. Our server, Raquel, is a superstar.
My family & I went to Dexter's for a nice pre-Easter dinner and once again, we were thoroughly pleased with the experience. We started off with a calamari and drinks, then I had the Blackened Seafood Burrito. It was a generous portion and the taste was amazing. Very flavorful and perfectly seasoned. You could tell that it was made with care. I topped off my meal with Triple Key Lime Pie which was a perfect finish to the meal.
The ambiance was pleasant and we will definitely be back!!
Brunch has a very good menu selection. Wish happy hour was like it used to be with 1/2 priced drink specials instead of just money off wine and beer.
Went to Dexter's for Sunday brunch and wantwasn't overly impressed. Just a basic menu and nothing really different than any other restaurant that serves breakfast. Service was a tad on the slow side and it wasn't really that busy.
Great experience. Our server, Billy, was the best!! We celebrated a 21st birthday for my daughter and he went over and beyond to be sure we had a great time. Food was top notch and loved the ambience and the fact that they source from local spots. Will definitely be back!
My wife grew up in Orlando and used to hang out at the original Dexter’s. So, she was excited about visiting this location. When we arrived there was a lot energy in the restaurant, which we liked. Service was great. Our server arrive at our table within a couple minutes to take our drink order. I ordered a Tito’s on the rocks. When the drink arrived, I took a sip and immediately thought something was off. Turned out I had been served a vodka with tonic. No big deal because the bar was extremely busy and our server simply picked up the wrong drink at the bar. The second snafu was my entre. I ordered the Sweet Crispy Chicken thighs. The dish was really attractive with two thighs, rice and broccoli . I ate a couple of bites of one thigh and saw that it was totally raw in the middle. Again, no problem because it was way more food than I would eaten. The manager came to our table immediately and offered to replace the dish. I declined. So, he insisted that he buy us a dessert. The third issue was our bill. It contained my vodka/rocks, but also had the incorrect drink shown. They quickly corrected the bill. Ordinarily, after all of the problems, I would have written Dexter’s off. However, the way they handled everything was very professional and sincere. The next time we’re in Orlando, I would like to try the place again and give them another chance to show how good I think they are.
Now that Howey is gone we have to break in a new server.
We love this place and the front door staff is the best!
1$ burger Tuesdays are the greatest!!!
Raquel was everything!!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Place on Tuesdays for a
Burger and beer
Always a great time!
The fish and chips tasted good, but I found three bones. My wife loved the chicken and biscuits.
I'm a regular customer at Dexter but this evening I was accosted by a drunk patron and the resturant did nothing about it. I will never go back.
The restaurant was pretty empty in terms of clientele when we were there, yet, it took over an hour to receive our food and we were still missing some items for our 6 person group when the food arrived. We watched another table of customers, who arrived after us, receive their food before us.
Our waitress was very pleasant; however, we were disappointed in the unwarranted wait time.
I liked a lot their lamb skewers till they decided to provide a mix of lamb and beef. It has lost flavor. The other food is pretty ordinary, nothing memorable.
Ladies lunch with friends. Server didn't ask us if we wanted another beverage or dessert even though 3 of us were drinking margaritas on National Margarita Day. Felt as though we were being rushed.
We came here for a 30th b-day with a group of about 5 girls. We were a little disappointed that they had a rock band playing while we were eating, as we were hoping to be able to chat and catch up, but they did put us farthest from the rock concert that was going on which was nice. The waiter also tried to up sell us a lot, maybe because he knew we were celebrating something. The first suggestion was fine, but the 5th was over doing it a little. Other then those two instances the service was friendly and the food was good!
Our family had a great dinner at Dexters. The food was very good. The service was great. It makes a difference when the server pays attention to the kids. It was also nice that the manager asked how our experience was. We haven’t been to Dexters in a while. However, we will be back in the near future.
We loved Dexter's. The ambiance was terrific, our server was tremendous, and the food was fantastic.
We enjoy eating outside. Their patio eating works very well. Interesting chef menu items for casual environment.
Went for Sunday brunch, was seated quickly and service was good.
Good. Common menu across the 3 Dexter’s now. Commonality is nice. Food is consistently good.
Food was excellent and server was very friendly and attentive.
Our waitress was knowledgeable and very attentive. It was her first night and we were her first customers now that she was offer her training.
Band - Right Stuff - was great and made the drive worth it - service was good and food was okay - beverages pricey for happy hour but balanced out aok since no cover charge and terrific live music. Miss the happy hour food options available last year - used to just order one if each and share at the table supplementing with with more or entrees.
Our service was Excellent as usual, but I did not get my opentable reservation correct points only 10 but said 10x the points in which meant 1000 but have not received
I had the grilled mahi salad, and my wife had the pan seared grouper; both were prepared as requested, and were delicious. The ambiance in back dinning room is a bit sparse for Windermere restaurants, but nice and clean. The bar is nice, and a decent Frank Sinatra singer started as we were leaving. Overall, very good food for price, nice fresh fish, and quiet enough for a date night. We will return;)
My wife and I wanted to check this place out so we drove there for a mid Saturday lunch. We each git the seafood burrito. It was pleasantly stuffed with an abundance of seafood. Flavor was mediocre but good. We also had the unlimited mimosas. The server was nice and did us a favor so I tipped him 32%. We still sat there a while and he never came back around to see if we possibly wanted something else. The place was very quiet at this point because it was after 3:00pm. I think that he thinks I made a mistake and he did not want to come around to find out. Nothing could be farther from the truth although that is the impression I got.
We like a lot their lamb sliders. We normally go on Thursday when there is live music
Always great... the people working there make the environment what it is! Welcoming and wonderful.
All was good except they did not check reservation as open table and the water served tasted awful and could not drink it so ordered bottled water for table- they should serve bottle water only - the server admitted there was an issue-. Food was quality and server was pleasant- we had a table full 12
First time visit and will definitely return.
Excellent service. Upon our arrival, We sat outside w/our little-man, dog, which was served water before us (a plus). The truffle-fries, duck sandwich, salad, drinks and more was outstanding, in addition, Melanie our waitress was excellent. Happy hour included regardless where seated - must try.
fish and chips were great!!!
place was not busy...great service.
Love Dexter’s! The food is fresh and tasty, and service is always great. Definitely recommend!
Made a reservation on opentable. My requested area was available and I was seated immediately. The food was great. Could not stay for the band, but have heard them before and they are great. This place is a breath of fresh air.
The food was good, as was the service BUT the band was horrible (off pitch often; missed lyrics; didn’t know the songs they were performing) and it was New Years Eve. I expected better. First time at this (Windermere) location. I’ve been the the Heathrow and WP locations several times and the quality of the band has been much, much better. It was a disappointing night!
Last minute birthday dinner and what a wonderful find. Had heard brunch was good, but so was dinner. Audrey, our waitress was the best!
