Dexter's - Lake Mary

I took my son's girlfriend out for dinner and drinks on a Saturday night to celebrate her 21st birthday. We had wonderful service and the food was delicious. The bartender/server (we were seated at a high-top in the bar) even prepared a margarita flight for us that wasn't served anymore even because it was on the website menu. Our only complaint was that the live band was loud and there was a loud group behind us as well. We felt that we had to yell to be heard across the table from each other. I would definitely go back, maybe on a night that didn't have a live band.

Great food, delicious tcha tcha chips and amazing outside seating.

Overall a great experience and was great for a buniess meeting.

Made reservations 10 days before event and requested table close to the band. Was seated 2 tables from the back. We abandoned table and sat at the bar for a better view

Went to see a particular band that we like, made a table reservation. The hostess seated us within minutes of our arrival. The service was very good, all around. I ordered the Eggplant Napoleon and it was to die for. I believe due to a shortage of staff that evening the manager was waiting on us. Thank you for a nice experience.

Awesome experience. Great food, music, and drinks. However, definitely think they need to hire more servers because table attentiveness and food service was a bit more slow than I prefer. Overall, 4 stars!

Great food at a great price. A variety of American classics with flair.

The food was sub-par. Chicken was dry. Burger was dry (asked to be cooked medium). Service was so slow that the food came out cold. Our server rarely came by the table and when she did, we actually had to call her to the table. After the live music ended, the DJ had his speakers so loud none of us could hear each other speak even when we were sitting right next to each other. Overall, a terrible experience.

Great place and food was delicious I had the salmon salad and was the best I have had.

The hostess sat us down and we never got to order food nor drinks and waited 25 minutes. We just told the hostess that we were leaving and left to another restaurant.

Not good 10 min to be greeted 10 more for drinks, slowest restaurant in the area we see why. Food horrible best describes it.

Dexter’s is a wonderful place for brunch, lunch, or Dinner. The food is excellent and the service was amazing!

A great night out to relax and enjoy some company. We sat outside on the patio and it was a great atmosphere. All the food was great, it was cooked correctly and tasted amazing. The server was very attentive and nice. Overall it was great!

We were given a wine list that didn't have any prices and of course the servers recommended wine turned out to be $10/glass. That would never have happened with Gary.

Friendly service with good food and reasonably priced.

Only reason for the four stars is because of them running out of Roast Beef for the French Dip sandwiches! Always a great place!!!

We went to Dexters for brunch on a recommendation from a family member, and it was fantastic! The food was great...I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had some kind of pasta with a garlic-pesto sauce and truffle fries. We both had a endless mimosas, which were stronger than I expected. The server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We sat inside, which got a little loud as more people were seated, but it wasn't unbearable. I'll definitely recommend to others!

This place has terrific food and is reasonably priced. Lots of choices and the spinach dip is amazing!

I was unimpressed by the food. It wasn't bad and it was not outstanding. I was disappointed with the lack of knowledge of the server with regard to gluten allergies. When asked about a gluten-free menu or gluten-free options, she informed me that both rice and potatoes in general are gluten free. Otherwise she had no other suggestions to offer.

8 of us on a girls golf trip to the area. Everyone enjoyed the food, drink and restaurant. Several ladies made note to eat here again if back in the area. Will return to Dexter’s again.

Valentines Day

Waiter was excellent .. great follow up. Food outstanding and prepared as ordered.

The food was amazing here and we had excellent service.

The service was a little slow and my guest had to ask twice for a refill instead of the server anticipating it but overall it was good and the food was good.

Disaster cacophony beyond comprehension.

Special occasion to meet our daughter-in-law and our two grandchildren for our annual visit. Good food and service spoiled by raucous party of ten loud lunch time party goers on a Saturday. We couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to us, Craig, our waiter, apologized. Maybe management should have stepped in. Didn’t happen. Last time for Dexter’s.

Winter Park Dexter’s is much nicer - all around. This experience wasn’t that great.

I sat at the bar and Kevin was excellent! He was really attentive and was having great conversations with everyone that was at the bar.

there was a large party which backed up the kitchen for about 45 minutes, which was frustrating. However a free basket of chips was offered due to the wait. it was a nice enough gesture, but really need to figure out a better way to handle large parties.

First time at this location. Server Kevin was very nice. Food was really good and we were there for a later lunch (1pm) so we were able to get a quiet table since there was business to discuss. Would suggest adding Stevia to sugar options and noting gluten-free options on the menu :-) Will return!

Julia is an amazing waitress. Food was great. I loved it!
