Only reason for the four stars is because of them running out of Roast Beef for the French Dip sandwiches! Always a great place!!!

We went to Dexters for brunch on a recommendation from a family member, and it was fantastic! The food was great...I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had some kind of pasta with a garlic-pesto sauce and truffle fries. We both had a endless mimosas, which were stronger than I expected. The server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We sat inside, which got a little loud as more people were seated, but it wasn't unbearable. I'll definitely recommend to others!

This place has terrific food and is reasonably priced. Lots of choices and the spinach dip is amazing!

I was unimpressed by the food. It wasn't bad and it was not outstanding. I was disappointed with the lack of knowledge of the server with regard to gluten allergies. When asked about a gluten-free menu or gluten-free options, she informed me that both rice and potatoes in general are gluten free. Otherwise she had no other suggestions to offer.

8 of us on a girls golf trip to the area. Everyone enjoyed the food, drink and restaurant. Several ladies made note to eat here again if back in the area. Will return to Dexter’s again.

Valentines Day

Waiter was excellent .. great follow up. Food outstanding and prepared as ordered.

The food was amazing here and we had excellent service.

The service was a little slow and my guest had to ask twice for a refill instead of the server anticipating it but overall it was good and the food was good.

Disaster cacophony beyond comprehension.

Special occasion to meet our daughter-in-law and our two grandchildren for our annual visit. Good food and service spoiled by raucous party of ten loud lunch time party goers on a Saturday. We couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to us, Craig, our waiter, apologized. Maybe management should have stepped in. Didn’t happen. Last time for Dexter’s.

Winter Park Dexter’s is much nicer - all around. This experience wasn’t that great.

I sat at the bar and Kevin was excellent! He was really attentive and was having great conversations with everyone that was at the bar.

there was a large party which backed up the kitchen for about 45 minutes, which was frustrating. However a free basket of chips was offered due to the wait. it was a nice enough gesture, but really need to figure out a better way to handle large parties.

First time at this location. Server Kevin was very nice. Food was really good and we were there for a later lunch (1pm) so we were able to get a quiet table since there was business to discuss. Would suggest adding Stevia to sugar options and noting gluten-free options on the menu :-) Will return!

Food was great. They had Blue Stone Circle there playing music which was why I went there. The food was very good as was the service. It was a completely enjoyably evening. Save room for the salted caramel cheesecake.

Went for my moms 70th birthday and was treated to her meal for free by the manager. Brunch was delicious but it was a little loud.

It was a wonderful night out. The food was great and the ambiance made it a great date night.

Mimosas were great food was could have been hotter, it was a little cold....

The place is looking a bit run down, is not nearly as busy as it used to be and the food and service was average at best. They need to create some excitement to interest me in a return visit.

In my opinion, the Lake Mary Dexter's is the weakest link in the chain. We had brunch there for the last time yesterday. The coffee was served luke-warm. We had to wait a few minutes to get our servers attention. She took the coffee away and said she would make some more. After about 10 minutes she returned with a hot cup. We then ordered and the food and it was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. It was average and nothing that would make us want to return. I had one Bloody Mary and ordered a second. After about 10 minutes of waiting for it, I called our server over to ask when I should expect it. She said the bartender was backed up and she didn't know how long it would be. We finished our food and I again called our server over to cancel the 2nd drink. When the check was presented our server said the charge for the 2nd drink was removed from the check. I almost said, why wouldn't it be removed? She did not offer a refill on the coffee, and quite frankly we didn't want to linger any longer than necessary. The atmosphere is loud with high energy. Lots of day drinking going on and not the place to go if you want to have a good brunch in a relaxed atmosphere.

Service was excellent. Ambiance was great! Food was delicious!

Dexter's sets the bar and continues to be on top.

Excellent experience at a local favorite. Early Saturday dinner, meal and service were top-notch. Nice seasonal additions to the menu, along with their long time favorites. Nice range of by-the-glass wines.

We sat outside and the only compliant was the music from the mall conflicting with the music from Dexters.

Our party of four had a great meal, great service, and we will be back again. From a burger to a gourmet meal, Dexters does it all very well.

Loved everything about this place! Our server, Samantha, was friendly and took incredible care of us. The Dexter signature Chardonnay was very good, and we were able to order it by the bottle. The band Star 69 was AWESOME! Our party stayed the entire night, enjoy excellent wine and great rock music! We can't wait to come back and hear them again!

Food was decent and service was good for the most part. I enjoyed my lamb burger and my wife said her Mahi dish was fine. Main cons were the high noise level that limited our conversations (even with it being daytime, the place half empty and no live music playing), salad arriving 1 minute before main dishes, and being seated uncomfortable close to a large party and another dining couple. It also seemed weird that one host ignored us and other guests for 5 minutes until another host came and spoke to us. Perhaps the 1st hostess was being trained at the time. We saw what looked like an '80s hair band coming in to set up for later in the evening so we were intrigued to go back later...but we didn't.

Great Monday family night out.
