The restaurant is old world lovely. Young couples, families and older couples all come here. I ordered the seared Ahi tuna with cauliflower and asparagus as the sides. The vegetables were delicious but I felt the tuna was under-seasoned and could have been presented more lovely than a large hunk of tuna.everyone is given a biscuit with ma me butter to start. I felt there were too many pepper chunks in the biscuit and it detracted from the flavor of the biscuit. The table was well lit, service was very nice.

The special 3 course lunch was of excellent quality and very good value. The waitstaff was helpful in serving me quickly so I could get to an afternoon concert at the Kimmel Center.

I was really looking for a pleasant experience for me and my spouse. However, I felt that experince was lost right after my plate hit the table. I guess, what I thought my order would be just turned out to be a big soup full of seafood. So I regret my choice in meal and my first experince with lobster and mac and cheese was horrible due to tje order being cold. So I just paid for my meal packed everything up and my wife and I just left.

We arrived and immediately felt the lovely atmosphere. Looking around it was all couples and it was also very quiet which allowed for good conversation without speaking above normal tone. Excellent wine selection and the food was phenomenal!

Brought my wife here for Valentines day dinner. My reservations were for 7:45p but I got there a little late because I got lost finding the restaurant. I did arrive before 8p they still sat us right down.

When seated a gentleman walks around with a tray of biscuits for the table. My waiter was very good his name was Steve. I immediately was asked and served drinks. I did order crab cakes appetizer and the free yelp checkin calamari they both were yummy & served with the best tartar sauce ever I'd eat that on anything. The fried shrimp were amazing!! I will get that every time I go. The crab cakes were very good as well. The mashed potatoes just needed a bit of salt. The lobster Mac & cheese also needed a little salt. We couldn't get dessert because we were so full.

The interior is very small and the seating is a little uncomfortable.

Good overall experience. My friend wasn't happy with the trout, lemon sauce was too tangy, overwhelmed the taste of the trout. My clam chowder had more celery than clams. Other items on prix fixe menu were good.

Very good service - professional and attentive. Excellent food - caeser salad, salmon, chocolate mousse cake - all fresh and delicious, good portions. Lovely ambiance. Perfect for the occasion - friends get together. Will definitely come back, especially for lunch.

I often dine at the Devon in Hershey. Took my sister to a Doctor’s appointment at Jefferson and I had gift cards for Devon so I made reservations for lunch to follow appointment. I loved the dark deep wood and tiled ceiling along with the wood tables. The ambience at the Devon Hershey is somewhat modern but dark. Hershey is acceptable but I like the character of the Ritenhouse Square Devon much more. Both locations have excellent food and the reason I go to Devon is for the seafood. The service staff was professional.

Had dinner here on Sunday and the food was great. I fell in love with this restaurant when I first came for restaurant week. Had the lobster bisque, mixed seafood grill, and the creme brulee for dessert and loved it all. Def one of my favorites places to eat.

Devon is my husband’s favorite restaurant and we always have good food, but this visit was not our best experience. While our server was great, the food was not what we are used to. The food took a ridiculously long time to come out (for which we received a small discount), and my lobster was very tough and overdone. I left hungry and disappointed in my food, but the company and service made up for it

Despite a reservation, the host made us wait 15 minutes then sat us (party of 4) at a small table in bar area. When asked if table open in dining area, they said not for 20-30 minutes and did nothing to rectify. Tables were on top of one another in bar area, and Waitress was overwhelmed with her job. She would disappear for 30 minutes at a time, which caused our dinner to take more the 2.5 hours. She also forgot to bring our certain appetizers until we asked her where they were (and other apps were already finished).

I reserved this restaurant for my family - overall, food quality was good and service was great. I would recommend this restaurant for dates! One thing I didn’t like about this restaurant was that food was over-priced for such small amount of food.

Wonderful seafood! Warm homemade cheese biscuits come straight out of the oven on cookie sheets to table. A bit pricey but good food! Great service. Only surprise is that despite the reservation made on open table in advance, we were seated in the bar area and not in the main dining room.

My husband and I selected Devon to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. We had a wonderful dining experience. We were not rushed in anyway. Although we were never waiting for our food or service our dining time was about 2 hrs. We truly enjoyed the pace and our service. Brook was our server and she was so pleasant and accommodating. She definitely enhanced our dining experience! 5 stars to Brook! Thank you for making our anniversary special.

We eat at Devon about 4 - 6 times per year. The food and service never disappoint. Given the location on Rittenhouse Square the price isn't too bad. When we booked our reservation we received a $20 coupon via email. We especially like sitting near the front to people watch. Really great in warm weather when the front glass doors are open. Highly recommend

Have been to Devon many times and always have had a great experience. Saturday was different. Food was still great, but the service was poor, inattentive and unfriendly. Usually don't write reviews, but this service warranted it. Waited 10 minutes before a waitress came over, plates were delivered to wrong guests at the appetizer, meals, and dessert. We had to ask for a menu for dessert, we weren't asked if we were having dessert and it was assumed, I believe, that we were done. Waitress just wasn't what you'd expect there or what we'I've experienced in the past. Food was great and we will go back in spite of the service, as I would hope that was a one off bad experience.

We come to the Devon with regularly, and the food as of late has been hit or miss. Our most recent meal was delicious, and we left extremely happy, but tonight no one was impressed. The seafood tower was quite obviously previously frozen and poorly defrosted- it did not taste fresh and we did not enjoy it. The tuna steak was fine, lobster cobb tasted sort of off, and fettuccine with clam sauce which two people ordered wasn’t well reported. It’s a shame because the ambiance is very nice and the food can be great, but it is by no means a guarantee. The service was very good, and they were kind enough to split plates for us so we could share entrees. We will be back, but we are hoping the next visit is a better experience for all.

I eat here at least once a week but this meal entree Pretzels Crusted Trout found the trout not as tasty as usual and they left off the sauce. This restaurant has a problem with constant delivery of your main courses while you are still having appetizers. I have complained many times and sometimes been given credit but they can’t seem to have the servers inform the kitchen when the main course should be brought out.

I do not complain about restaurants or servers since I used to work in the industry.

This is WORST experience in all the years I have been going to Devon since they've opened. It was my Anniversary and I did put that on my reservation. Got water splashed on twice from a waiter since we were seated between 2 service stations. We hardly saw our waitress. Food was very disappointing. Ordered the Shellfish Bouillabaisse - got mainly mussels, few clams, NO lobster - when it did say lobster in the menu, a few quarter size salmon pieces, 2 good scallops and shrimp.
My wife had ordered Seafood mixed grill - she said it was ok not great. Barely touched her food but server crammed everything into a small sandwich size container and some of her food was missing when we got home.
I would suggest going to Oyster House on Sansom St., Anastasi Seafood in the Italian Market, Ocean Prime and even the Big Fish Grill in Glen Mills before Devon. Food and service has definitely gone down hill.

Rita, our server was awesome. True sweet heart! Everything we had was great. The mussels were the only thing not to brag about! They were not meaty at all. It was a slice of carpaccio in each one. Nothing good. Otherwise everything else about this place was great. Thank you for being awesome!!!
