Favorite restaurant in the city, took a friend from out of town here for a great meal and great drinks.
Service was outstanding
Very disappointing of what has happened at Devon-- hadn't been there a couple of years and was a regular--was one of my favorite spots-- but it was dead and the food was not as good as it once was-- I don't think I will be back.
Great place for a decent brunch without all the buffet nonsense
My experience was AMAZING, WONDERFUL staff’ and atmosphere. I will never forget November 16,2019. With the help of your staff, I got engaged that night.
The experience was great, however even with OpenTable booking, we wait 45minutes to sit. :-(
Better than the last time I dined at Devon Seafood but nothing extraordinary for the price. Location is excellent but I feel they purposely overbook the place so that a 7:30 reservation is really an 8:30 seating. Very few people make dinner reservations for Saturday night 9pm or later, they'll allow you to make an 8:00 o'clock reservation which really is a 9pm seating. Sneaky but will repel diners like myself for another return trip.
We always love Devon. The location and Rittenhouse Park view are the best. The food is always delicious. The drinks are great. And the servers are professional and knowledgeable. It’s one of our favs for a quick bite or for a dinner with friends. Excellent always!
I had only been to Devon for drinks previously, and was very disappointed in the quality of the food. You can't beat the location on Rittenhouse Sq and, in the summer, it's great for drinks and apps, but I would not spend money on a dinner here in the future. The food was barely a step up from Red Lobster in quality and appearance.
The food was great as always!
Very nice restaurant. A bit pricey but food and service outstanding!
Our server Marissa was exceptional! The food was delicious. There was a temperature issue ... it was EXTREMELY hot all night. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I would go for a specific meal but not a place to go frequently because it’s not that great tasting of food options. Over priced if you ask me but lobster Mac was good.
The food was delicious! The best shrimp cocktail with great Roumalade sauce. The surf and turf was great-super tender filet.Isaac our server was simply wonderful.Highly recommend! Great seafood all around:)

My fish dinner was very good but my wife's sea bass was undercooked (very gelatinous in the middle, not flaky like it should have been). We sent it back to be cooked properly but after a few more bites upon its return, the middle portion of the fish remained very gelatinous.
Very good food, very good service. Would certainly recommend. Make a reservation unless you’re going on an off hour/day.
The white haired bar tender was very stressed and unhappy. I really was afraid to ask for anything He was visibly not wanting to be there.
I will start by saying we originally made reservations at the chart house but I read the recent reviews and made the call and canceled that. I really wanted seafood so I googled Philly seafood restaurants and this place came up first and had fantastic reviews so I booked it! Parking was fairly easy around Rittenhouse square, we found a parking garage right around the corner. We did run a few minutes behind so I called and let them know and they were so nice about it and thanked ME for calling to let them know. We were greeted by a fleet of friendly smiling hostesses and were immediately taken to our table, a booth which we preferred and it was spacious and cozy at the same time. We were then greeted by our lovely server , Felicia- if my memory serves me. She was super attentive and very nice. The service was fantastic. I would recommend her and would definitely ask for her next time we go. We started off with drinks and the Vietnamese crab spring rolls 🤤. They came out so quick which I loved because I was hungry. They were super yummy and the dipping sauce was also a great accompaniment. We wanted to take our time and enjoy another drink before ordering which was totally okay with Felicia. I ordered the shellfish cioppino and my husband ordered the strip steak and the New England clam chowder. I was so surprised to see so much seafood in one delicious bowl of red sauce with grilled garlic bread on the side. As soon as I started to dig in I thought to myself, I wish I had a bowl for the shells and here comes Felicia with a bowl for them like she read my mind! My husband loved his steak, cooked perfectly and he really loved the way they seared the steak and how it had a perfect crisp finish on top. He wanted to ask what there technique was he loved it so much. Lots of clams in the chowder!Naturally we ate too much and didn’t have room for dessert. Honestly overall five stars. I think if they added votive candles to the table it would have been all around perfect.
Wow! This place was amazing! The food was GREAT, the service was phenomenal, and they recognized us for our anniversary.
Excellent service and great food, with a nice atmosphere.
I was upset with no valet parking. They used to have it and now it’s very hard to get parking.
Enjoyed the food - especially the steak, lobster bisque and trout. Service was excellent.
I love the food and service and decor, but noise level was unbearable. I brought a friend from NYC, her first time in Philly. Next to us was a table of 8 and the more they drank the more they screamed, no manners to those around them. On other side of us another huge table that was very loud. Perhaps you can put groups next to each other and tables of 2 in a separate area. Our server was very attentive, but we could not hear each other talk, disappointing evening. Mostly likely will not return.
Devon never disappoints. Excellent service and excellent food
Quite alcove table; terrific service by Caesar.
It was a great place for a business lunch. The food & service was excellent - was able to have a conversation.
Place is LIT. Just a cool place to enjoy an incredible meal. Booths are huge and very private.
Bourbon and Ba$il is insane and I highly recommend.
Tuna poké bowl is flames. The fish was perfect & wasabi wontons ?? Beautifully thought out .
Crusted ahi entree .. the only word I can think of the describe it would be life altering.
Service was 5 star.
I will be back .
Waitress was awesome, great recommendations for our main entree. We’ll be back
We had a 6:00 reservation and were asked our preference of seating areas. We choose the dining room. Our wonderful server, Lizzie, made sure we had a wonderful experience. We were surprised how buy and loud the dining room became by 7:00. We enjoyed the shared calamari and my son liked the mild spice of the gumbo. He had the ample seafood sampler and I had grilled salmon. We both couldn't finish our dinners. The mashed potatoes were delicious! We'll return and ask for Lizzie.
It was my mother’s 65th birthday.
They had confetti on the table for her which I thought was nice. The food was delicious, and the staff were awesome
The menu was very broad and deep, the service was great, John was very helpful and very pleasant...there was a wine special with 25% off or 50% off depending on the menu price...the food was very very good...the carrot cake was unbelievable... setting very nice...will be back soon.
Quality of food not great- everything was soaked in oil. there were mistakes made by the kitchen with certain dishes. Took awhile to get coffee and bread (to go with food).
Disappointing compared to past visits. We won’t be coming back.
We had a theater event scheduled 1 hour after arrival. The restaurant was very busy, but our excellent waitress served us quality food in record time. This restaurant will be a favorite when we visit our daughter at UPenn!
Delicious brunch with complimentary homemade cheese biscuits that are melt in your mouth. Great view of Rittenhouse sq. I’m never disappointed with my meals here
Disappointed this time. Service was good. Food was disappointing. For the prices, the portion quantities are ridiculously small. Barely a cup of chowder for $9.50, and tasted like Campbells, good but nothing special. Crab cakes were tiny, and were served lukewarm. No excuse. I would no longer recommend Devon.
Great business lunch spot. Don’t miss the bisque!!
I really enjoy eating at Devon. Our meal was definitely five stars except for the server. His name may have been St. Clair. He had something else going on Wednesday night. Maybe he doesn’t hear well. Or maybe he lacks focus. Or maybe he doesn’t know how to build rapport.
I’ll be back but I won’t sit at his table. Crab cakes were delicious as always. I came back Thursday for your famous carrot cake and I ate the whole thing!!!

Usually, we have a great experience at Devon's. This time our server spent more time pleasing another table than focusing on serving us. The wait time to order was ridiculous. Once he was told we were still waiting to order, he said ok but kept talking. Never asked us if we were good or needed anything the whole time. The food wasn't completely hot which we returned to reheat. As stated, in most cases we have a great time. Also, we were celebrating my brother's birthday which I indicated on reservation comments. There was never an acknowledgment!!!
My husband and I are very fond of Devon Seafood and have dined there twice most recently. We travel from New Jersey bypassing many restaurants along the way.
