The restaurant was good. The server was very friendly and helpful in ordering our meals. He keep the wine glasses full and the dinner came out in a timely manner. The busboy was great in keeping our water full and removing plates as we finished on the table. It was a quiet night, except for a crying child in the corner, but what can you do. I would recommend this restaurant but would try to enjoy the bar upstairs in the future.

This was our second time dining at Devon. My husband & I both agreed that the filet was done perfectly. The lobster bisque was elegantly presented. Their lobster was perfectly cooked and very fresh. The waitstaff prepared our table for my birthday with such a perfect touch. They also were very attentive leaving us to want for naught! I appreciated the calm, quiet atmosphere to have intimate discussions. Very well done, Devon!

This was my first time at Devon Seafood Grill and I was truly impressed with the service. The food was excellent. My only complaint was that my food was not hot enough but it was taken care of immediately. I had one of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life. Ryan and Iasiah, you rock!

Went to Devon's for my son's 21st birthday - the table was decorated for his birthday, the menu printed with Happy Birthday on the top, and a handwritten card thanked us for choosing Devon's and offered a complimentary dessert. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant, service was excellent, and food was top of the line!

The oysters were not good. I have been here before and it was great but this time o was disappointed by the quality of the food for the money I spent.

From when we 1st walked in the door, a young man greeted us & wish us Happy Anniversary. Our server was awesome & we never felt rushed or felt at any time, where is our food. Our dinner was wonderful including the complimentary dessert. we chose the lava cake which was worth the wait. We will definitely be back soon.

One of the best restaurants in Chicago for Seafood lovers and they also have great steaks.
Try the three course fixed price menu. Lobster bisque fantastic . Vegetables were cooked perfectly (french-cut green beans with sliced almonds). Grilled salmon was served with a subtle sweet drizzle on a mini ceramic plank to keep it hot. Great wine selection. Creme brulee and carrot cake did not disappoint.

Outstanding from start to finish. Lobster bisque was the best I ever had. Blackened tuna was prrpared to perfection. Service also special. Will go back many, many more times.

We returned to Devon Seafood for a birthday dinner just prior to seeing a show. The martinis were fantastic. Our dinners were perfect as my wife had a combination seafood and i had the grilled fish. They gave me a free desert for my birthday along with a lovely decorated table. Can't wait to go back.

I absolutely loved my experience there! My waiter Shawn was excellent. The food was sooooooo good. The steak, lobster, shrimp, Mac & Cheese and mashed potatoes were all delicious. My patron margarita was perfect. And they also added my girl friends name to the menu as i requested. It was perfect.

The servers were friendly and the food was delicious 😋I had the seafood mixed grill and Rosemary lemonade drink 🍹 which was good. The scenery was very nice and romantic. I will definitely recommend Devon to anyone who’s looking for a great meal, romantic scenery and friendly service.

Great food and service

This was our first time dining at Devon Seafood Grill, and we will certainly be going back! The service was excellent, our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and the menu. It was an unhurried dinner, but we were finished in enough time to get to our concert. We had Lake Superior White Fish, and Barramundi. Both were simply prepared, but we could have opted for some alternative preparations and sauces. Each came with two sides, selected from a list of eight options. We started with the crab cakes appetizer which were among the best we've ever had. We ended with a flight of three sorbets and a bourbon apple pastry served warm with cinnamon ice cream. The Moscow Mule (for two) was served uniquely (see photo), and was very good.

If you join their email list you get $15 for your first visit, and $25 for your birthday. Well worth it!

Amazing food as always but service was a bit lacking this time from previous visits. Server brought us substituted items in drinks without asking us and wasn't super attentive. We were there later in the evening but came with a reservation so I assumed we should be given the same attention as someone coming in earlier. Service was just MIA.

My mother and I really enjoyed our dinner at Devon! The scallops and risotto were delicious! The maple plank salmon with green beans and potatoes was really good, too. And the carrot cake was terrific!

Our server, Nicole, was super friendly, bubbly, and very knowledgeable about the menu and entree preparation. All in all, my mother was glad she celebrated her birthday here. Thank you!

Hit happy hour in bar great food big portions

Speedy service, a bit of a wait for the c heck. Food was very tasty seasoned well, could've been hotter. Great atmosphere, need more lighting and heat. I will be back

We went here for my dad (in his 70s) birthday dinner and had a fabulous experience! The servers and the food was fantastic. They were very accommodating about putting us in a quiet place. Everything was delicious and super fresh. We recommend the crab cakes, Devon Classic Scallops, and the Carrot Cake. You can't go wrong!

Food was very high end, for a low end price. One of my favourite restaurants in Chicago. Will definitely be back

Everything about our dinner was spectacular. Our server, Sean, was very personable, knowledgeable, and on top of things. The food was outstanding. It’s hard to find good fresh seafood where we are from, so Devon was a real treat.

I live in the neighborhood and I enjoy patronizing Devon. The service is always outstanding and we had Nikki as our server which is always a welcome addition to our dining experience. However, the entire staff - from the hostesses to the bus persons - is always pleasant and welcoming. Whoever is responsible for the staff training should be commended for a job well done. To quote from the choices above, Devon is truly a "neighborhood gem".

Had a delightful dinner at Devon with a small group of friends. The service was impeccable, and the food was perfectly prepared. We all ended up having the Seafood Grill, which included shrimp, scallops, salmon and crab along with Yukon potatoes and asparagus -- all our favorites. There are two seating areas - upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs you can sit alongside large windows for people watching. They have a full bar with reasonably priced wine. Easy to make reservations with Open Table. If you are looking for a seafood restaurant, you should consider Devon.

I love that we had a private room. It made the experience even better. The waiter and rest of the staff were prompt and kind. Our waiter was pretty awesome. He knew the menu in and out and provided a lot of assistance and suggestions. The food was great...came at a very good temperature and was well seasoned.

The food was amazing and i forget the name but that shrimp and crab cakes plate for $39 is fantastic. The only issue I had was the upstairs bar seats are too close to the stairs. Every time the servers had to come get drinks I found myself moving up my seat to let them by. I know it’s not an easy fix but you guys should consider making the bar smaller on that side or something.
