The San Francisco Style Cioppino is fantastic. I was slightly disappointed by the roasted brussel sprouts and my seared King Salmon. Both were a bit over done. But it was still a very good experience.
The food was excellent and the service was great. Will definitely be a return customer.
We enjoyed our dinner. Everything was prepared perfectly. Wait staff was great. The bar scene is very loud....which is fine for the bar goers....but it overtakes the dining room. It' s an issue that keeps us from coming to Devon more often.
Great food, service excellant but a little pricey.
Absolutely perfect dining experience, thank you!
Food was awesome.... calamari was fresh and delicious.... goat cheese bruschetta was a nice surprise. Had lobster rolls for the main course and they were DELICIOUS!!!!!Service was incredible.Thank you
Very good food/service, restaurant is very loud though.
Food and service was great, really enjoyed the dessert. the coffee was bitter and it cost $2.50 a cup, should be complimentary with dessert.
Fabulous Fish!!! And delicious side dishes!!!! Awesome meal!
Always went for intimate dining with the wife until recently. Last time out we did brunch with my daughter, son in law and the grandkids. A great time was had by all.
Great food. Only drawback is very loud, hard to hear conversation at times.
Visited during restaurant week, food very good. Requested a booth but did not receive, very noisy.
Went with another couple for the Hershey special deal. First time there. Impressed with the atmosphere. Service was very good and the servers were attentive to us. Food was very good. I will definitely return for another good meal.
We had an early reservation, 5:45pm, but the service was slow and got progressively slower as the courses went on. We were seated in the banquet room, which doesn't have a lot of atmoshpere and the noise level increased as the night went on. It was about 8:30pm when we finally left.
Really enjoyed the entire meal, appetizer, entree and also dessert. I will definitely be going again.
If you can't get to the coast, this is the best place in Central PA for fresh seafood. My husband and I have been there multiple times for special occasions and have always been extremely pleased with the quality of the food, the wine selection, and the competence of the service.
The cliche "you get what you pay for" is appropriate...worth every penny!
restaurant was very cold and drafty. the wait staff did not know the fish they were serving. they were touting wild caught salmon but when questioned it was actually a farmed raised product in New Zealand.
The Hershey restaurant week lunch menu was both excellent and a good value. We enjoyed the meal so much we went back again later in the week. The dinner menu is a bit pricey, but there are always good lunch specials, including Sundays. Everyone we ever took there was impressed with both the excellent seafood and service. The sweet drop biscuits and Velvet cake are fantastic.
Had lunch during restaurant week, app and entree each for $30 total. Food quality and service both were very good as usual. I really wish they lower their wine prices, very high.-
I was here on a Saturday at 1pm for Taste of Hershey (restaurant week.) They also have a nice half-price menu from 1-3 Saturdays and Sundays. I stuck with the RW menu and got a very nice lobster bisque and a crabcake sandwich between acceptable and good.
My companion ordered from the half price menu and got a plate of mussels and lobster rolls, both of which she enjoyed very much. We enjoyed the Mimosas and Bloody Marys as well.
Desserts (creme brulee and key lime pie) were enormous and delicious.
Service was on the slow side, considering that the place was nearly empty at that time of day. However our server was comeptent and friendly.
I would definitely go back for the late-lunch specials again.
A friend and I tried Devons during restuarant week and it was great! I can't wait to visit again.
Restaurant was a fabulous deal for restaurant week. Lobster bisque, crab cakes and ciopino were all fantastic! Generous portions, fabulous food and fantastic service...you couldn't ask for more! Oh and the carrot cake...yummy!
I've eaten at Devon a number of times before but this was the first time I had brought friends along. On this occasion, the food was good (almost as good as expected) but the table service timing was awful. Our appetizers and our entrees were brought within moments of each other. There was, literally, not enough room on the table for all of the plates and bowls he was serving to us. I guess it's a good thing that e forgeot to bring our wine flights and we had to ask for them - twice. Three of us has the Cippiono, which was cold with a rock-hard piece of toasted bread by the time we ate it. Luckily, we were allowed to send our fourth entree (crab cakes) back to be kept warm in the kitchen. I suggested Devon and I was very embarassed.
My fiancé and I love this restaurant. I even booked a reservation on the day that I proposed. We love coming for restaurant week because the deals are astounding. We have dined over 6 times in both the seating and bar areas, we have never had a negative thing to say to our friends.
Thanks for participating in restaurant week!
Devon lives up to its reputation as the place to go for great seafood. The mesquite-grilled mahi mahi was moist and flavorful - cooked just right. The crab cakes were all crab meat and delicious! The clam chowder was loaded with clams - also delicious. Service was attentive and well-timed. Devon is our favorite lunch and dinner place in Hershey.
Everything was great, as usual. The only glitch was the server forgot to return our credit card, which we did not discover until two days later and then went into a panic about where it might be. We left a message with the restaurant and when no one returned the call, we called again and the manager assured us it was in the safe until we could get there to pick it up. Although mistakes can happen, servers must be more careful with a customer's card. What if we lived outside the area and were traveling with only one credit card? Hopefully this is an isolated incident.
Very busy as it was Restaurant Week and the special fixed price menu and waited about 10 minutes past reservation time but worth it. Shrimp scampi, crab cakes, panko shrimp, carrot and chocolate cake desserts and drinks had by our party were great. Took a few minutes for our server to get drink orders but was good service after that. Was in a booth near the wine cooler and there was a cool draft. I have never had a bad meal here; the starters, sea food, sides and desserts are all wonderful. Love the fixed price menu specials as well.
First visit to Devon and it was a wonderful experience! The specialty martinis were amazing! Food and service excellent. The server was attentive and knowledgeable about the items on the menu! We will be going back for brunch soon!
I have been to Devon's on a number of occasions and the food was excellent. This. Visit was during restaurant week, and I ordered off the price fix menu. The food was good, but not up to the usual standard. In their defense it was a packed house.
My meal was excellent. Our table was ready. I was very impressed with the taste and the presentation. The decor is gorgeous. We will return.
Went with friends for Restaurant Week, and had the Prix Fixe menu. Limited choices, but met our needs. Serving sizes were large, so we had to box our desserts. Food was very good, but the noise level was high and we couldn't always hear what we were saying. Perhaps the booths offer a bit more of a sound barrier.
Very good overall. Although during restaurant week, I felt that my food wasn't specially prepared as requested.
My friends from Gettysburg love Devon and so do I!
Devon's is by far one of the finest restaurants we have enjoyed. We walked away after an unhurried dinner and said "This was the perfect meal." The food is always amazing, the service is class and the decor is lovely and modern. There are so many wonderful choices on the menu that you wish you could order more than one meal. It was a special birthday that we celebrated and our waiter, Art, recognized the birthday while serving dessert. Thank you Art, you are a great waiter.
I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the Restaurant as well as the service that we received from Ashley our waitress. The drink menu was wonderful and everything that we ordered was delicious and unique. After looking through the menu it was hard to choose what we want because everything looked so tasty. We are already planning our next trip the Devon's.
We had a lovely meal. My mahi mahi was cooked perfectly and had a smoky flavor that was delicious. The side dishes of mashed potatoes and asparagus were also well cooked and flavorful.
I do find the restaurant a little too dark.
Also, the vegetarian meal is really just steamed vegetables. Just because someone is a vegetarian doesn't mean they want bland food.
This is my second dinner at Devon and on both occasions I've been underwhelmed. I won't go back. This is an overpriced, mediocre restaurant at best. The dining room is noisy and overly active. I felt rushed, not relaxed. My lobster bisque had a couple of chunks of lobster the size of raisins. The grilled fish was ok, but nothing special. Dessert may have been the high point of the meal with the crème brulle - very good. Three domestic beers came to $17.00. My experience is not based on price, but on value. I enjoy fine dining and I'm willing to pay for it. By no means is this a fine dining restaurant even though it is perceived as such.
Outstanding food. Attentive service.
We have dined at Devon several times; however, this was the first time during restaurant week in Hershey. It was a mistake. Their sole purpose was to get you in and out as soon as possible. From the time we walked in the restaurant with reservations seated had a drink, appetizer, entre', dessert, and paid the bill the total time was 38 minutes. It was not worth the savings of 15 dollars per person. I assume that the management thought they would make up the difference with volume...disappointing.
As a "Marylander" I hesitate to order crab cakes outside the state - our server ensured me these were authentic and they were - little filler - fabulous. Another of our party ordered the Ciopino and he is still raving about it. My only complaint is the noise - it was almost impossible to hear my fellow diners and we were in a booth.
