Devil's Den Ratings and Reviews
Went here for the first time over the weekend for my boyfriend's birthday and we had the perfect night. From the great service, to the warm fireplace and delicious food. We ordered the burger on the menu and started with the nachos as an appetizer. At the end of our meal, our server brought out a brownie with a candle in it. We had such a great night. We will be back!
We had a double date for Valentines Day. The first table they say us was a little drafty. They were very accommodating, and relocated us to the fireplace table. The food is always outstanding, and we love to visit and have the amazing Short Rib Cheesesteak. Always great service! This is one of my go to restaurants with clients for great beer and awesome food!
Normally my soon to be husband and myself hate to go out on Super Bowl Sunday. But this time we were happy we did. The bar was not horribly crowded. We made reservations for dinner an hour before the game. Our waitress was so nice and helpful we were able to complete our meal with our coffee seated at the bar so we could watch the game. The drinks were reasonably priced and the bartender was also courteous and knowledgeable. It was just perfect! What a great evening! Thank you for the best Super Bowl Sunday experience.
Devil's Den is a great spot to enjoy craft beer and delicious food. It is not a particularly large venue, so it does get a little noisy, but you kind of don't notice after a few beers ;)
They have a diverse specials menu for dinner. I enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli, which was great. My boyfriend had the falafel sandwich and we started with a cheese plate. Our friend had beef stroganoff. The food was delicious and the variety is great! You really can't go wrong.
The beer selection is of course wonderful. The only beer that we wanted which was out was the Abbey Double from Flying Fish, but we can understand why the keg kicked... it's a great beer! There were plenty of other options as well.
Great bar in south Philly. Not quite a gastro pub but had an interesting menu. Also had a nice beer selection on tap and in bottles/ cans. I really enjoyed the cheese fries (fresh cut) and the carnitas tacos. The waiter, Patrick, was awesome; he was knowledgable about the menu and always there to fill a glass (both water and beer). I will be returning the next time I am in town.
From the time we walked in everything was great . The host he was very polite and helpful and was happy to give us an out side table. Our server Jill was great kept our waters full as it was a pretty humid evening. The food was great we ordered nachos, duck buns, mussels, hummus & a cheese plate my friends are still raving about the duck buns all the food was perfect and came out in a Timely manner . The beer list was a nice size I ordered Moscow mules which were made perfect . couldn't have asked for a better evening out with friends . Will be returning for sure!
This corner spot has great flow from the bar to the dinning area. Ceiling to floor windows bring in the light and connect with the outdoor tables. We don't have a pet, but they provided water bowls for dogs of the outside customers. We ate brunch and the main menu and specials were all delicious. We had a big party and sampled most of the items. All were satisfied. We highly recommend Devils Den for brunch, lunch, or just to have a few drinks at the bar.
In my reservation request, I asked for any seat that wasn't right next to the kitchen. I asked for this because its my first anniversary, and im 21, so im usually sat there. Guess where I was sat. Food was okay, smallish portions. Nothing exciting or unique about from where I sat, uses the same bus bins as most
Went here for a casual date and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively enough to make it fun, but not so loud that my date and I could not converse. The food was delicious. We did a bunch of apps and were pleased with everything. Also, the beer list is fairly substantial and the waitstaff was super helpful with their recommendations. Even though it is removed from center city, I would definitely go back.
If your priority is variety of interesting draft beer, this is a great place. Convenient place to try a variety of beers and get a bite to eat before the game. Not the healthiest menu, but the customers are generally young enough not to care. I would like to return but will be more careful when ordering. The food is plentiful, small plates are larger than expected, and for some that is a turn-off. If you can put up with large portions and great beer, you will love this place.
