Obviously I knew about the high prices before we went, but I was surprised at the miniscule portions. Food was good; nice service.
The very best that Boston has to offer.
The lobster app was our favorite Our one observation is we were only offered still sparkling water and were then charged for the water. Asked if we would like bread we said yes but again was charged. Feel the offers were not clearly presented.
Food is good but pricey. Can be loud depending on seating.
Top notch food and service!!!!!
I can't get enough of this place!!!!
Food was excellent and amazing, especially the duck and pate appetizer. The cod was fine, with interesting accompanying grain and vegetables, but overall a bit bland. Very limited wine selection by the glass, some way overpriced. One of the few restaurants in Boston quiet enough to talk easily and relax.
Yesterday was our first time here, and we had a great time! We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and the food, the atmosphere and the service were great.
We will definitely be back.
Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. Limited choice, and the choices were not very good. They had the exact same menu 2 year ago, costing $89. This year it is $125 which is a 28% increase with absolutely no change.
Thanksgiving at Deuxave was exceptional yet again! It’s the best spot in Boston, hands down. Amazing people and food.
Incredible!!! Best meal I’ve had in Boston. Duck confit was the best I’ve had!
Incredible Thanksgiving dinner.
It was a quick meal. We had movie tickets and after a long drive for the thanksgiving holiday it was nice to sit down and have a meal and drinks
The waitress knew we had tickets and made sure we had great service, conversation and a relaxing time.
When we got to the movie theater I wished we stayed at the restaurant for more
Thank you for the gift of your restaurant
Classy and romantic place. Food was superb, truly outstanding, as well was the attentive service. The only negative would have been how packed it was while we’re still in a pandemic.
Great evening. Food was good. Nothing to fault
We were originally surprised by the menu's relative simplicity. But even the salad was beautifully presented and with a sophisticated set of flavors. And that was just the salad. The duck surpassed everything. I've eaten at some of the best restaurants around the world, and Deuxave ranks right up there.
Everything was wonderful. Must do. It’s $$$ but we’ll worth it.
Food, Ambience, and Service were Amazing! A great place to celebrate any occasion.
You will not find higher quality ingredients, creative combinations or artistic and eye appealing presentations anywhere else in Boston. You would have to visit France for a similar experience.
We have visited several times and find the menu varies to make each visit special. we have tried several other French restaurants in the city but prefer Deuxave by far.
It was a really nice romantic experience. Food was great, service was great. Would recommend.
Wonderful ambiance and amazing service & staff
Menu very creative . Signature cocktail very lacking in creativity, they were flat without any personality.
The veal cheek, duck ,onion soup and deserts tdf. Staff very charming.
Food was quite good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful. Probably a little overwhelmed at times. The real problem was the parking shakedown. $25 for parking is sad for a dinner, I'd think the restaurant would want to subsidize, but whatever. The real fun began when, in the rain, the valet told me he could not make change for $40. And could not make change for $30. Therefore the true charge of parking would be $25 plus $5 or I could ask my wife to wait longer in the car (was her birthday) and go back into the restaurant and wait for the bartender to make change.
I'd have been happy to and planned to give the valet a $5 tip. It ended up not being my choice, and that's not cool. The restaurant doesn't employ the valet, but they're responsible for the experience in my view.
If that sort of thing is cool with you, you'll probably enjoy this place. The food is good, the location is nice and the dining room is really cool. I don't deal with that sort of thing well, so won't be back.
Wonderful restaurant - we'll be back. This was a date night choice for a restaurant but it is absolutely a place for special occasion dining. Very beautiful restaurant. The duck was sublime.
It was wonderful. The service was beyond excellent and the food was exceptional.
They forgot us over and over, didn’t bring our sides until after we finished the food, desert was melted when it arrived and it was pulling teeth to pay the bill. We made a reservation well in advance and they tried ti stick us in a terrible table in a back room.
We met friends for dinner and while we have dined at Deuxave and had delicious food before, this dinner was exceptional in every way. The dining room was quiet and intimate with the tables far enough apart that we felt very comfortable. Drinks were innovative and delicious (one of the best Proseccos ever), salads were the same and the main courses (we each ordered something different - the bay scallops, the cavatelli, the duck and the bolognese) were superb. Going to a restaurant that serves an amuse bouche bite and small pieces of vanilla cake and jellied fruit as a complimentary dessert always makes me feel special and appreciated. We never felt rushed and food arrived hot and at a comfortable pace. Wait staff were attentive without being intrusive. We were there for almost 2 1/2 hours and it was perfect.
Great spot, a bit cramped and load so recommend one of the private books.
An amazing spot for an important birthday or anniversary
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was excellent.
The food is spectacular and our server Johna was the best. Can’t wait to eat here again.
My husband and I have walked by Deuxave many times. Not sure why we never dined here earlier but I am so happy we did last night. To start our waitress was absolutely amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable!!! She recommended the Duck Confit which was amazing, I had the cavatlli superb, my husband had the cod which was also amazing UNH and for desert we had the pumpkin soufflé and the lemon cheese cake fantastic meal! Can’t wait to go back!!
Great no matter the reason
Food was good but service was slow
Really well done.... From the food to service. Great location. Great vibe.
Atmosphere was fantastic. Chic and sophisticated, but not in the least stuffy. Food was heavenly, and beautifully presented. Our service was impeccable - our server Pamela and the sommelier/manager Joe were standouts. They made our evening extra special.
Great in every aspect- food was just delicious!! Service was also 5 star - one of best in Boston
Celebrating our anniversary. The staff were friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. Our meals were delicious and the portions just right…no sense over overindulgence just deliciousness. Cheers!
A great splurge. Classic French cuisine, with some novel taste combinations, Everything was to perfection.
The food was exceptional! The Gnocchi, the duck and the chicken, each was incredible!
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary. I would definitely go again! The steak and the french onion soup were amazing!
