Great classic french fare with a quiet neighborhood vibe. We sat outside and there was no street noise (which is rare in the UES). The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.
Excellent service, very friendly
terrific food !
Very welcoming place with very good service. We liked the intimate size of the restaurant. We were there for brunch. Menu was very good and varied, food was fresh and well prepared. We will be sure to return for dinner
Excellent and great food the service was very good the ambiance was very nice and general everything was exceptional I will definitely come back
The food was OK, but the place smells of dampness or mildew and has an uncared for feeling about it.
Perfect neighborhood gem - small - quaint - feel like you are in Paris-
The menu is varied- everything we had was delish
Even the burger was cooked to perfection-
Brunch menu - eggs Benedict wonderful as was the salmon -
The bread served was crusty - house wine was so good
Definitely a go to spot - brunch or dinner
Fantastic restaurant with wonderful food, very pleasing ambience and fairly quiet in comparison to many of the Manhattan restaurants of today. Will definitely become a regular here.
Great restaurant and terrific staff. I always enjoy dining there.
Best neighbothood French in alll of New Hork ! Love it !!
Very cozy and intimate. Great food and service.
a great neighborhood gem that is consistently good
Foid was very good as usual. Thus gas become our go-to neighborhood French restaurant!
The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is typical New York dated bistro, which we really like. The crowd appeared to be mostly neighborhood people, which I think is a great reflection on the restaurant that it has a loyal following. The food was typical bistro fare. We did not have a bad meal among the three of us. We all enjoyed our selections which came promptly, hot and nicely presented. I would definitely recommend this restaurant should you want a neighborhood feel and nice French bistro fare.
Despite of the dry duck (second time this month) I will continue to dine at Deux Amis as it is a very comfortable neighborhood bistro. The escargot is excellent.
Enjoyed the experience - good food, good service, and pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent food with very attentive service despite it being a very busy night. Highly recommend for any occasion
The service was very slow.
The waiter wasn’t respectful of who was first.
This was an average restaurant for NY. We live in NJ and I thought some of the French restaurants in NJ were better. It’s ok but definitely not a 4-5 star. Three is generous.
Lovely, as always. Good food, great service, nice to have in the neighborhood!
Reliable French restaurant. I had the lamb shank special which was excellent. My friend had the bronzini which she said was great - and she finished the full plate so that’s a good testament. We skipped dessert. Wine list looks good.
Intimate, lovely, neighborhood spot with friendly, helpful, and overall quite attentive staff. The recommendations for food were excellent, the wine was decent, and it was a wonderful place to celebrate friendship and a big milestone birthday.
We had an excellent server. We also lingered, and were never rushed to leave.
Great sitting at the bar here. Have done it many times. Food is always solid, sometimes great, never sub-par. Classic faux-French bistro (a la Balthazar), but cheaper and friendly.
Fantastic food service and bistro ambiance. Lovely place a recommend often to friends
Good food, amiance warm & inviting, noise is good and the Waite staff courteous and attentive.
Very pleasant atmosphere, staff was professional and courteous and I would definitely go back
Forty-five minute wait for first course to arrive. It appears wait person forgot to place order in kitchen. Chaotic floor management of wait staff. Food quite average. Onion soup watery and lacking depth from properly caramelized onions. Served offered to comp desserts because of long wait, but then presented a plate of bread pudding without offering menu to individually choose dessert. Never offered bread and butter. Overall, very disappointing. Will not return.
Food was very good. This was our second visit and the food was much better than I had remembered. This will now be our go-to French restaurant in the neighborhood!
This is a charming little French restaurant. Lovely ambiance, good food and excellent service.
Very quaint and comfortable authentic French restaurant.
Loved our meal- escargot to die for. Wine excellent, fish was superb and presentation creative. No hovering over us or rushing to get us out. A very friendly and relaxing place.
Will be back certainly!
Pleasant wait staff. Just the right amount of service.
Food was excellent. Well worth the price. The price itself is very good for fine French food. The wine list is reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Best neighborhood Bistro in NY. Wonderful service, terrific food, just a very special place with a great ambience
it is my neighborhood go to . The food is always good , service extremely pleasant and warm ambiance.
The location, the food, the staff - all top notch. We love the familiar feel and the true French Bistro atmosphere of this wonderful neighborhood spot.
it’s ok if your focus is on quiet time to talk with your friends. The food was terrible and the service (not the main waitress) was totally misinformed, lousy manners.
I simply have to say that I just love the place. I very much like the wait staff and the menu is outstanding and the food is cooked to perfection. It is a great restaurant for any occasion.
We had an excellent meal at Deux Amis. The menu listed all French Bistro favorites. I had the short ribs and my husband coq au vin - pure comfort food. We will definitely eat there again.
As always, the food is delicious and authentic tasting. Tables are up against each other but once you start eating you don't really notice.
Great neighborhood spot. Food is always good, good value and attentive staff.
Love Deux Amis. Consistently good. Never rushed. Never disappointed.
