DeStefanos Steakhouse is a family owned fine dining restaurant. Its located in a quaint brick building on the corner of the street. DeStefanos specializes in prime dry aged steaks and prides itself on delivering a real taste of old school Brooklyn. The ambiance of the stylish and cozy interior provides a relaxing place for you to enjoy a hearty, intimate meal with family and friends.
Start your meal at DeStefanos with a jumbo shrimp cocktail, short rib rolls or mozzarella de crustino mushroom. Move on to a hearty porterhouse steak or pistachio nut crusted lamb chops. Try one of the fish, chicken and veal dishes, which include a 20 oz. veal chop, mahi mahi and chicken cordon bleu. Dont forget to choose a glass of wine to pair with your meal from the extraordinary wine collection.
The steak was amazing and you didn't need a steak knife to cut it - a butter knife was all that was needed. It melted in my mouth. The side dishes were not very large, especially when we got the garlic mashed potatoes for two - and they were not the best I have ever had. But did I mention how incredible the steak was?
I was here 2 Fridays ago & as usual was not disappointed. This visit my fiance & I opted for separate entrees, rather than sharing the Porterhouse. He had a veal chop (amazing!!) & I had filet mignon (slightly overcooked for medium rare - just a heads up). Next time I'm not sure if we will go back to Porterhouse or try other options...but I am sure that we will leave satisfied & happy!
Chose DeStefano's while visiting our daughter. Steaks were as advertised...and we chose the 8 oz petite filet which was more than adequate for our appetites. The sides we're proportionately large and well prepared. Service was attentive but not spectacular or noteworthy. The noise level was disturbing with communication somewhat difficult. Overall however DeStefano's was a good experience and we'd probably return.
