Great happy hour! The seared tuna and salmon dishes are amazing! Also great celviche!
We had a great server, food and drinks were delicious. We’ll be back on 5-18th..:)
Food was good as always, but venue needs better ventilation for the hot plates. Odor bothered us the entire night, making the experience unpleasant, we couldn’t breathe in there. Our clothes still smell of food. EV location has a similar issue, but not as bad...
The food was good, but the service was really bad. They took to long to bring our drinks to the table. And was our first time and she didn't even explain us the menu. and how the restaurant works.
Excellent seafood options all prepared very nicely. The happy hour was an exceptional value. I'm looking forward to going back.
What a surprise this was. Cerviche at a new level and a cool, hard to find space. The Bartender will take you there. Try the Rosemary's Baby. The Yellowtail Tiratido is Killer and the lobster and Clams w/ Chorizo are way boss. Never been to the EV location. But this place is solid.
Great food! Happy hour on point and excellent service.
Staff was out of this world and the food was far better than our group expected. The ceviche and shrimp was amazing
Great food, great music, great ambiance
Was really hazy given majority of the kitchen is at the bar, but the food (strip steak!) was delicious. Drinks were pretty tasty too. Cozy corners to sit in with groups were fun. A bit short-staffed on ordering, but given it was NYE the waitress was kind and let us stay quite long at our table.
Went for dinner with my wife after having a group holiday party there two days prior. The food continues to be outstanding. The staff if friendly, the ambience is casual and attractive. The music was a little loud but the owner turned the volume down when we asked. Excellent overall.
Great food extremely noisy
A gem of a restaurant. Keep coming back for the salmon and tuna ceviche. Must try the tea smoked oysters. Great staff with an awesome bartender. Great for celebration or impressing a first date.
Didn’t get to eat. In a basically empty restaurant, the music was so obnoxiously loud my friend and I were unable to talk. I asked the bartender if he could turn it down, his response:
“Well then the lights would be too bright for someone else, you know what I mean?”
The food was outstanding. Fresh. Delicious. Unique. Memorable. Ambiance was weird in a good way. The service was delightful. I sincerely can’t wait to go back and do it all over again.
The menu is short, simple and creative. This is a great place to eat during summer since most of the food is cold (ceviche/sashimis etc).
My only complaint about this restaurant (and I've eaten here twice) is the restaurant seems to be a bit understaffed. All of the people that worked there, were very nice and were clearly working very hard. However -- I got the feeling that everyone working there was super stressed and busy and so I felt like I had to rush my questions about the menu.
Desnuda always has the freshest seafood and crestive dishes. The atmosphere is so fun and the drinks are always superb. Love the popcorn!
Terrific service! Excellent dishes and a great happy hour - beautiful courtyard
This is my secret neighborhood spot - I LOVE it so much!
Music was so loud I could barely hear the host
Food was good but not worth the $$$$
Group of 7 that meet up once a year and this restaurant was amazing. Food and drink was outstanding. I think we ordered everything on the menu and then ordered it all again. We did a shared plates/tapas style and every dish was creative and delicious. The restaurant staff were wonderful and everyone in the group was extremely happy. Fun vibe, great music and total fun.
This is one of my favorites places for both food and a crafty cocktail. They have a great happy hour for oysters which are always top grade. Their cocktails are fancy and so delicious. My favorite is "The Other Woman" with a very unique rim. As far as food, you cannot go with anything wrong: shrimp ceviche (yum!), octopus (delicious), coconut basmati rice (how much flavor!), tuna turadito (omg)... I think we by now tried everything on the menu. The seating is comfortable any place you sit, whether it is at the bar, to cute tables. The place is very cozy. The service is nice. I highly recommend.
We were a party of seven and had a great time. Excellent cocktails, great food that was light and refreshing and a killer soundtrack throughout the evening. Great spot, great vibe, great staff.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Would definitely return!
The food, service, and ambience were wonderful!!! Chef Vince and Chef Freddy made our night unforgettable. Ty!!!
Solid oyster happy hour, and good drinks. Service was ehh
Very bad service. Table that was promised to us after 20 min wait (had a reservation), was given to other party that had arrived after us and we were told to relax. Finally got a table that had been free since our arrival - strange.
Then no real service - all food arrived at the same time, no question on other / new drinks, etc.
Overall very disappointing, although food was very good.
Amazing experience at Desnuda Brooklyn, the team was awesome, Ilia made us the best cokctails and Marie was great and has good recommandations! We had a very good Saturday night :)
Such a great spot. Food and service were excellent. The smoked oysters were amazing.
Great food service music and atmosphere. Always a great experience.
Always great here. Oysters and seafood is fresh and very tasty
Very creative and interesting food, delicious flavors. A little expensive, but one can only expect that for a raw bar
This sweatbox should be regulated by the NY Sports and Gaming Commission due to its physical stressors (heat, sauna-like conditions). Also, the Fish & Wildlife commission needs to pay you bammas a visit- as we (the temporary patrons) were packed in there like cattle- veal, to be specific.
Furthermore, I must refer this establishment to zoning and signage experts; I was unable to find the location due to poor lighting and signage, and happened to stumble into the place next door. A place that turned out to appear 100x better than Desnuda you-must-be-heavily-powdered-to-survive-here Brooklyn.
Then, after realizing that Desnuda was 52.4 degrees (C) and rising, my date- who luckily was kind enough to ignore the river of perspiration (that was NOT acting in a passive aggressive way with my forehead) streaming betwixt my eyes- and was sympathetic enough to suggest leaving for a better atmosphere.
Also, get bigger seats.
Also, do better with your spacing. A gentlemen nearly sat on the Woman of my Dreams.
Do better Desnuda Spa and Grill.
Very lovely place, however an hour wait for ceviche placed at the time when there was only one other couple in the restaurant is ridiculous. As the place began to fill up, tables were seated, ordering, eating and paying the check before we got the ceviche. We had only had oysters and a bottle of sparkling cava so we were starving! Though we’d planned on ordering a whole assortment of things, we just asked for the check (at which point - surprise, surprise - the ceviche finally arrived) and found another restaurant to order entrees and another bottle of sparkling wine at.
Everything was great!! Thanks Action Bronson for the info.
This is not the best place for... say, a first date, because it is loud, but the experience was actually quite good. The food was on point, the service was good and presentation was notable. But you leave there smelling like you worked a BBQ pit; really smoky!
I'll definitely return because the menu was quite good, but it is a bit pricey.
We were lucky to snag the largest booth for a Sunday group cocktail hour reunion of old friends. Beautiful choice for a 4-8-person group if it's available; partial enclosure made it feel very private. Service was perfect: friendly, efficient, and expertly guided us to the perfect share plates and cocktails. We ordered several dozen raw oysters, clams, and shares; everything was fresh & delicious. Best pisco sour in recent memory. Lovely small touches everywhere (unique foam designs on every single drink, etc.) Planning to return soon.
Although I made reservations, I had to wait 30mins. It was packed, so my date and I understood. Anyhoo, the food was great and the drinks were very strong and perfect.
The food was really tasty, and the ambiance was definitely lively which made for a good atmosphere. A couple of drawbacks were the service - which was friendly and helpful but a tad harried and forgetful perhaps because the place was busy, and the fact that they do a bit of the cooking at the front bar so you will leave smelling like your dinner for quite a while afterwards.
