While they didn't have my Open Table reservation marked down, I was seated quickly and enjoyed a great meal with friends. Our waiter was very attentive to all of our needs, and it was a very enjoyable evening.
A Friday night gathering of friends, as we have gathered on Friday nights for many years. The food was delicious and the choices were many. The service was very good as well...
Menu is somewhat limited and nothing special. Food was cold. Best thing is the atmosphere. Will not be returning anytime soon. Many other options with more expansive menus etx
Saturday eve dinner/ a few other locations had 30-45 minute wait times. Went on Open Table and DeSha’s was close and had no wait so we tried it! Friendly service, great seafood bisque and cornbread. steaks cook just right and asparagus cooked well. Only critique was 3 tiny pieces of asparagus with meal- larger stalks or say 5 would have been appropriate given the size. Will go back again for sure!
When we lived in the area 14 years ago we ate at deSha's many times but only for their Sunday brunch which was excellent. This was our experience there for dinner and we were very satisfied.
Food and service are aways top notch. Our group loves the "pick two" for lunch. A favorite is the French Onion soup.
We enjoyed brunch, the service and the atmosphere. We all ordered different entrees and each one of us enjoyed our meal.
Our group of friends like the casual atmosphere of Desha's , good service, good food, and when the weather is warm, the outdoor deck over the water is beautiful.
We went for Sunday brunch. Very strong smell of chlorox on entering and through to the back - very off-putting.
Instead of offering us one of several vacant tables at the window, we were shown to a rather dim area behind the window area. We were moved when we asked.
Food arrived in good time, but my husband's fish and fries were not hot. My quesadilla was just acceptable, but not steaming.
The waitress had the fish and fries re-made and they were edible the second time. She had also had the manager take it off the bill.
I ordered coffee, which arrived in a cup, not a small pot as I had expected. It tasted burned, bitter and strong. No creamer on the table and I was given two small pots. Coffee did not seem to be offfered as part of breakfast?
Will not be going back.
Our server was polite, helpful and courteous - the best thing of our experience.
It was St Patrick’s Day and there was a band playing in the bar. It was still fairly loud in the dining room.
We had a nice booth but shortly after arriving there was a huge group of teenagers from local high schools that came in and it became very loud. Plus the band started and it was too loud to talk.
When the opportunity finally came up that I would meet with old classmates who had not seen each other for nearly 60 years, I knew Desha's would be the perfect place for us to meet where we could sit and chat for as long as we wanted to.
A friend and I had a very nice lunch. A big shoutout to Brian; our server who was very efficient!
Food was delicious.
The four of us had a reservation at 7:15 PM on Saturday, March 10th. Our dinner was served promptly and proved to be quite tasty. Then at 8:00 PM the band in the adjacent bar began playing. The noise level was so loud that it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation even while leaning over the table. While the band was good, we felt it was inappropriate to have it start up with rock and roll music during dining time. It would seem better to have live music start at 9:00 PM or after.
De\sha's has friendly, knowledgeable servers. Unfortunately they ran out of Guiness Beef Stew so I chose clam chowder. Excellent. Everyone was happy with their selection and enjoyed a spoonful of creme brulee . Nice evening.
Prime Rib ordered Medium and was raw
Love this place ! Food is always good the service is always good and I love the bands they have !
Our party of four celebrated my sister’s birthday with a delicious dinner at DeSha’s on Saturday. Our table was right next to the pond and several geese, ducks and an egret provided additional entertainment. A couple of us ordered their delicious salmon and blue cheese steak salads, while others ordered the Brown Derby and Open Meatloaf dinner. Ore server was very personable. A complimentary birthday dessert was enjoyed by all!
This is officially my favorite restaurant of all time! The atmosphere was my favorite part. The building is beautiful and romantic, yet family friendly. They had a band playing oldies and it set the mood wonderfully. Our server was a bit busy so slightly slow but gave us good service even on a busy night, so completely understandable. The food was very good too. Seriously I enjoyed everything! I can't wait to go in the summer and sit outside by the pond.
De Sha's never lets us down. There isn't a bad item on their menu and the service is always very good. This is a great 'go to' place when you want quality served with a smile. It is a great place for lunch and a lively place on Friday and Saturday nights.
Food was great as usual. Mackenzie was our server and she did a fabulous job.
Too loud - noise from bar spilled over too much
LOVE THIS PLACE! FREAT FOR GET-TOGERTHERS!
GREAT SERIVE AND WAIT STAFF
Took one hour for entrees to arrive. The waitress was friendly enough. The kitchen was very slow.
deSha's never disappoints its customers --- The atmosphere is great, a variety of live music always finds a different crowd to watch, and the good foods is reasonably priced.
Neighbor restaurant, always good.
The staff was very polite and professional. (I recommend making reservations as they tend to be pretty busy, specially on the weekends) Our server was super friendly and attentive to our needs. The scenery was lovely and our food came out in a timely manner.
Very disappointed in our waitress. She seemed uninterested and acted as if we were imposing.
We had a confirmed reservation for 6:45 PM Saturday evening. When we arrived the hostes informed us that no tables were available for our confirmed reservation. She suggested that we check the two bars, and see if we could find a table ourselves, which we couldn’t. It was obvious that deShay’s was giving priority to seating anyone who walked in the door, if they were willing to wait. Hence, the complete lack of tables for those who had confirmed reservations. The hostes seemed not to care at all about the fact that they were not honoring our confirmed reservation. No apology, no “give me a few minutes and I’ll see what I can do”. She just left us standing there, so after a while, we left. But, the hostess was very young, and probably not to blame for our poor experience. It was clear the management did not properly train, monitor, or support her. Our experience was a classic case of a failure of deShay’s management to manage.
DeShay’s was one of our three “go to” local restaurants, eating there, on average twice a month. But now, not so much....
It was warm and cozy with excellent food. Not too much or too little.
Average food in a quiet place. Service can be variable.
Overall great evening
We were there to enjoy Christmas dinner with friends. Really like the atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. The goetta fries appetizer was delicious and enough to share with 4 people. Food was very good.
One of our favorites. We eat here often and are never disappointed. Live music in the evening, on the weekends. Great food. Good deal.
GREAT meal at DeSha's on Friday evening with good friends from west side! They hadn't been there and loved it! Glad we shared a great evening there with them! Food was wonderful and choices so good!
Our waitress was EXCELLENT too!
Don't remember her name but our reservations were for 6:45pm and we sat in main level first left off steps in booth. She was young and pretty!
We like the diverse menu and we all ordered the same thing. Our server was excellent and someone new. She gave us space and time to order and finish our conversation. Enjoyable.
Al always, DeSha's continues to satisfy. Good food, good service and a reasonable price. Plus their soups are always great.
Good food and service. Had a great table looking onto the pond. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. We will keep coming back.
We felt rushed. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable of the menu, and forgot to bring an item. We don’t think we’ll return.
Good food and service and view of the lake
Great wine and beer
