Wonderful unique food tastes that cause the salivary glands to start the moment the plate is set in front of you. Watching the artistic plating and the desire to make it perfect is a show in itself. I would highly recommend.
WOW! Soup to Nuts, maybe one of the best meals my wife and I have ever eaten. Food was amazing, service was excellent.
Some unique foods and flavors served well in a special setting. Resented the "service charge" of 20% added in automatically.
The food was very good but not fabulous, as it struck us 2 years ago. Expensive.
Deseo is always one of our favorites. The paella you made for us was outstanding along with everything else per usual. Please make it a regular entree!!
Everything there is FANTASTIC! The food is always good and the service was perfect. We love this place. It is on our top 10 list.
Restaurant used to be one of the best. It has progressively deteriorated in quality and service. Our group of 6 had terrible service. It was busy and server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but it was exceedingly slow and agonizingly poor. The wine service was terrible. I ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and was brought a 5 year old bottle. I suggested to the sommelier that this might be too old, and he seemed to have no clue or was trying to pass it off. The wine was opened and it was clearly oxidized. He should not have even served it, but I had to reject it. We ordered something else which was fine and never saw him again. We eventually got more wine, but there really was no service.
The bruschetta with asparagus was outstanding. We had a marvelous shrimp appetizer too. Both of us enjoyed our entrees, a mahi mahi dish and a halbut. Their gluten free rolls made with yucca flour and cheese were something I would go back for often if I lived in this area.
Good overall; but there is something missing that could make this place a star.
The food was unique and special.
The rice dish was like a flavor party in my mouth. It was fantastic.
One of the best meals I have ever eaten!
Deseo's has risen high above the standard for hotel dining. Walking down multicolored candle lit hallway into the entryway sets the tone. I was greeted by friendly smiles and excellent service from the staff. We sat at the Rail for dinner and had fun watching the chefs prepare food. The food was very good; we all had fish, mahi mahi, halibut and a fish stew. All perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The hot rolls are amazing-we asked for more. They are gluten free and made with yucca flour.
Wonderful flavours! We're addicted to the shrimp chicheron.
Creative and interesting food. Weak selection of white wines by the glass, though.
The food was fantastically delicious and the service was world class. The unique dishes and drinks celebrate Latin cuisine at its best. Prices are pleasingly moderate for such superb cuisine. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something a little different that can please a variety of diners. In our group of 4, everyone had something positive to say about their entrees. Also, the rolls were a tasty kind of cornbread, flour mixture with a hint of spice. The South American beer was great!
If you want to have a quite /business/ romantic dinner it is a great place. Food was excellent and service was very attentive.
Food was good, not great, and our food wasn't delivered together. Manager came by to ask how our food was and he had to get the rest of our meal. Felt as though we weren't our server's highest priority, but, they were busy!
We had a drink in the bar during happy hour, then went into the inviting dining area, passing the open kitchen. The lamb chops were perfect and delicious. The others enjoyed their meals as well. We have dined here several times and have always had a good meal.
Everything was good - chicken jidori was one of best chicken dishes we've had. Rolls at the beginning were delicious. Our server was lovely.
2nd review--more focus on service is still needed. My plate was just set down in front of me without any explanation or highlight of the sauces, spice and food. This was done for the couple sitting next to me and is almost always done at high end restaurants where I dine. Disappointing. I hope it wasn't due to my dining there as a single diner.
I continue to tell everyone I meet about this restaurant and their excellent food, atmosphere and fun experience.
Good restaurant overall but a little hard to find in the resort. Food is of a South American flair. Waiter recommendations were excellent. Definitely a special occasion restaurant.
It was a great evening. I order flowers from the florest that Opentable provided on the site. There was a mix up at the Weston and they arrived at the table after the second coarse. All in all, it was a great experience !!!!!
Service was excellentOur waiter was willing to make changes to a set menuThe food was outstanding, it was a lovely evening for Valentines DayDr Jocelyn Hicks-Brody
We were seated at the chef's counter area allowing us to see the chefs at work, as well as interact with them and ask questions about their cooking process and ingredients. My husband, who does most of the cooking, enjoyed the experience and opportunity to view a working professional kitchen. The plating were beautiful with lots wonderful colors and tastes. We had a halibut and crab special which was exquisite. Service was impeccable. A very enjoyable evening.
We had a wonderful dinner at Deseo. From the varieties of mojitos and cerviches to the delicious Latin-flavored entrees to the amazing chocolate cigar dessert it was an outstanding food experience. they gave us time between courses to enjoy each, and our waitress was wonderful. Well worth the price!
The food was amazing! Please get the adobo pork, it comes with the most delicious empanada. Great drinks and service! Perfect for a fun date night or with a group.
The food was excellent and different. However, it was sterile, with no linens on table.
Been here four time and never disappointed
Wow. Wow. Wow. My first time dining at Deseo and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Deseo is now on my list of favorite restaurants for their imaginative and inspired cuisine. Every taste bud was awakened with flavors that were a delight with every bite. The chefs are artists in how they plate the food with color and presentation that made my mouth water. I especially loved dining in the area where you could watch the chefs prepare the meals. I have to tip my hat to Doug, one of the chefs, who answered all my questions and checked on my dining experience. My only wish was that the service was a touch more attentive. I'll be back to dine with Deseo again soon.
Exquisite experience. We are regulars when in town. Unique flavors. Perfectly prepared and makes us feel like we are on a food adventure. Next time it's just my husband and I we will see at the counter and watch them prepare the food.
Server was rushed to take our order and clear the table the entire time (I suppose because they close at 10 pm), and the decor is VERY outdated (old hotel carpet, etc). We felt that we were in a hotel conference room.
Food was wonderful (I had the shrimp and my table-mates had the pork, and we shared the millionaire tacos and quinoa side dish), except for the artichoke side dish--too vinegary. Service was prompt and not too obtrusive. We were seated near an exterior door, so it was a bit chilly. An interior table would have been warmer, but we would have missed the view of the outdoors.
Can't comment much on the wine list, as I my table-mates had beer and I only had the sparkling Malbec, which I would recommend NOT having. While I love most Malbecs, the sparkling one I was served tasted like cheap wine mixed with San Pelligrino.
Overall, the food was excellent, as was the service. A bit on the pricey side, too.
The food and service were truly outstanding. As it is an interesting menu, we asked our server to make recommendations. Everything we had - ceviche sampler, fish tacos, quesadilla, skirt steak, rolls - were fabulous. Sharing is recommended. And the service could not have been better. Great choice of sitting at the bar and watching the cooking (fun but not private) or a quiet, romantic table. And you are staying at the hotel, it is perfect...
Food had amazing flavors; service was A+ and I will be recommending them to others I know.
Impeccable food -- imaginative and flavorful with interesting twists in taste and texture that blend together beautifully.
Splendid service -- attentive and informative with perfect attention to detail offered in a friendly and personal manner.
Deseo serves up a rare and unique dining experience that isn't found in such a winning combination very often.
Guaranteed - try it and you'll enjoy one of your most beautiful dining experiences ever.
The food was very creative and tastey. The setting was very chic and fun. I especially enjoyed sitting at the open kitchen and watching all of the cooks and the chef unleach their creativity. The service was substandard for a place of this calibur. I had to ask 2 different people for extra bread, inlcuding our server, and never recived it. It also took too long to refill water, even when the busboy was filling the water for the couple next to us and saw my glass was less than a 1/4 full, walked away. With better training for the serving staff, this coud be fixed quickly. There is no fix for the awesome food, which will bring me back and be cause for recommendation.
We had a delightful time, sitting by the rail and watching everything being prepared. The food was wonderful and the background music level was at a level that made it possible to talk to each other as well as the chef preparing the various dishes.
The food was very interesting and delicious, we will keep it in mind for future visits most definitely.
We have eaten here several times before because the food and service were wonderful. This time was no exception except that we were seated at a half circle table that didn't feel very romantic and cozy. What made it worse was a huge group came in after us and they pushed tables together next to us. They were very noisy and at one point the leader of the group was standing so his bottom was in my face trying to figure out what to order. Wasn't the romantic birthday dinner I had hoped for. Our waitress did apologize and tried to mitigate as best she could.
My wife and I dined at some of the highest rated restaurants during our two-week trip to CO and AZ, and this was the best dining experience. We shared the ceviche trio and halibut and both were outstanding. Our waitress, Jinny, provided excellent service.
