I had the tilapia and vegetable. Tilapia was good but the vegetable were obviously from a freezer bag. For the price they could put more effort in than frozen vegetables.

Lovely setting, exceptionally friendly service, strategically placed heaters, exquisite food...all which made for a perfectly delightful evening.

Simply TERRIFIC lunch. Sat outside, of course. Very good heaters. Best if all, great food, service and ambiance.

Good OK but some under seasoned

As always, it was a pleasure to lunch poolside at The Depot Hotel. Leisurely pacing, excellent food and beautiful surroundings.

Our server was the best, everyone enjoyed their food which ranged from lamb, fish, chicken and even a pizza. It’s COVID restrictions right now and we ate outside but they have everyone sitting around the pool under covered tents with heaters, we never felt the cold on their enclosed pool patio, did a lovely job all the way around.

Wonderful venue! Great food! We enjoyed our time there and will be back!

Great food, super service. Due to covid, tables were setup around pool area, sounds of bubbling water from fountain, great ambience- best next thing to being in Rome.

Wonderful salad and the best margarita pizza! We've had other great meals as well. Thus place is a great little shining gem!

The veal scallapine is always great, the seafood risotto not as good. Very generous seafood but the risotto was goopy...almost like a soup. The Tuscan bean soup was great and the desserts outstanding...Tiramisu and crepe brûlée.

We love the Depot. My wife and I got married at the Sonoma Depot and the staff (Gia the manager) is AMAZING. And the food is wonderful. Every time I am able to visit this very peaceful and relaxing GEM i am always trying something new to appease my pallet and I am constantly impressed to say the least. Wonderful; setting and we will continue to visit for years to come.

An amazing place for dinner. I’ve walked past the restaurant for many years hiking the trials and bike path and so fortunate to have made the reservation.
the outdoor seating was spacious and well taken care of. Staff we very friendly from the greeting at the door servers at our table. Food was fantastic and dessert was a perfect ending with an espresso. Highly recommend to everyone.

The ambiance was nice but the food was mediocre for the price.

The only reservation for not giving a 5-star overall rating was due to the necessary Covid restrictions for no indoor dining. It was a cool evening and we could have used an outdoor heater. There were 6 not being used about 50’ away yet they were never offered to us. Other than that the experience was top notch; the food - veal and swordfish - were prepared to perfection! The service was professional, prompt, and friendly. One cannot go wrong dining at the Depot!!

Delightful as always. The swordfish was done perfectly and the black spaghetti with seafood was delicious. (Better like garlic.)

We were married on the beautiful pato 3 years ago and come every year for our anniversary. We were treated to a glass of champagne as soon as we sat down. This is our favorite restaurant in town!

Only criticism is the emphasis on veal dishes.

Food and service was excellent but it was a chilly night and we were seated by the pool and by the end of our meal we were cold. More heaters would be welcome

Patio is lovely. Had the tortellini and it was fabulous.

Anniversary

Service was excellent. Beautiful ambience. Of the two main courses, the fish was great and hot. The ribs were stone cold. Told our server who brought them back then returned them from the kitchen lukewarm at best. We packed them up and took them home. Heated the next day they were great. Don’t understand the inability to serve them hot but this is generally a great place and we eat there frequently. COVID makes everything harder!

We had a wonderful meal. It was our first time in 9 months eating out at a nice restaurant so it was a real treat! If you are a peanut butter and chocolate fan, have the Peanut Butter Burst gelato for dessert!

Great as usual

The service and food was great. However, when leaving we passed by the kitchen window and none of the cooks were wearing a mask. None of them. They were cooking and handling food without wearing masks. If we had seen that on the way in, we wouldn’t have eaten there. A lovely place with delicious food, but not following the Covid safety precautions or rules during this time.

A rare place in Sonoma for a lovely outdoor dinner. The tables are set up around a reflective pool with discreet lighting and some canvas tent covers.
The menu has a strong Italian influence. We had two appetizers: bresaola and salmon cake, and two main dishes: duck breast and veal scallopini. The appetizers were good, although the salmon cake had a bit too strong of a fish smell. The main dishes were excellent, with carefully prepared trimmings (wilted spinach with bacon bits and cherries for duck and mushroom sauce and roasted brussels sprouts for veal).
The wine list is adequate and the prices lower than in many other restaurants of similar kind.
Overall, a very good selection.

Their outdoor seating is magical. The overhead lights and fountain create a beautiful atmosphere. Their food was very good but overall I felt it was a bit rich and lacked the options I would expect from an Italian restaurant. Bolognese was more meat than tomato sauce and tortellini came served in cream sauce. Wines were so so which is a surprise for a sonoma eatery.

Amazing! Power company shut off their power because of red flag warning. Yet, under difficult circumstances we were prepared and served and amazing candle lit dinner! Cheers to the chef and the staff! We will be back!

Beautiful garden setting. They don't have much if you don't eat meat but they were happy to accommodate me and make me a prima vera pasta.

Ordered a bottle of wine which was a Pinot Noir was old and vinegar, ordered a glass of Pinot Noir was horrible! Must have been sitting in sun for years. How disgusting to be in wine country with bad wine!!!!

The food and ambiance were both very nice. Our waitress was not attentive and appeared to be very busy. She may have had too many tables. I enjoyed the outdoor seating and the pork chop was very tasty

Both the chicken and steak came out undercooked (pink juice from the chicken and medium instead of medium well for the steak). We sent it back and it was perfect when they brought it back. Both dishes tasted great and service was good. Only recommendations would be straws and disposable silverware for kids and temperature checks for everyone at the door to keep safety a priority during this pandemic!
