Mediocre at best. My ribeye steak was a poor cut of beef and very chewy. My husband's filet was overcooked. Potatoes tasted as if they had been reheated. The bread they served was ice cold. For $40 a steak I would have expected much better. Very disappointed.
Best spot in WP! Great food that's perfect after a ski day.
We hosted an engagement dinner here during Spring Break and although the restaurant was packed, I booked in advanced and our tables for 16 were waiting when we walked in the door as well as located in the best part of the restaurant by a fireplace. The wait staff was excellent and the food even better. The wine list is endless and the food was delivered to everyone at about the same time and was excellent. We returned 3 nights later with a smaller group because we enjoyed it so much. Brian (manager), Amy and Brian the wait staff were very helpful in making our special occasion extra special. I recommend the Lobster Ravioli and the Pork Chop.
Came upon this restaurant from multiple recommendations and was not disappointed, everything was excellent. Had we dined here earlier in our trip, we would have definitely returned.
Food was Bland and overpriced. Lots of loud children running around
7 of us went and everyone loved their meal, even the one with special dietary needs. The salmon was wonderful, short rib & sausage Ragu was outstanding, lamb shanks were delicious, medallion rustics was very good, kids had pasta and they loved it. Our kids did not like the Mac and cheese. Great evening!
We love a great steak. This was our 2nd time at this restaurant and both times my son order the steak medium rare and it came med well... I ordered a porkchop this time around, medium WELL. It came very pink.. We spent, $160.00 for 2 and left very unsatisfied. Having to constantly look for our waitress for refills on water. BTW.. she was sitting at a table rolling silverware and eating. I totally don't mind paying for a great meal but a restaurant who charges upwords of $50 for a piece of meat should get it right the first time..
Excellence all the way around!! Service was unbelievable. We had the wings, salmon, ribeye and blue tips (appetizer), finished with caramel tiramisu and chocolate cake. We were very impressed all the way around. We will definitely be dining here again when we visit.
Creative menue and good service. Food selections were ALL very tasty. Not the cheapest place in town but okay for that special occasion. Julie was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu offerings.
Great place to eat staff is friendly and fast food is perfect the steaks are delicious Great place to eat after s day on the slipes
No one came to our table for overc15 mins when seated. Then once we put our drink orders in the bartender came over after 15 mins to inform us they dont have absolut vodka. We figured they would send them right over finally but waited another 10 mins!
It was busy very unorganized and very poor food but great bread!! Lol
Great apres ski ambience. Good food and drink.
Had a great time with our adult kids and their friends.
Excellent choice at winter park! Delicious food great service
Have eaten here several times on ski vacations. It never disapoints. The steaks are cooked to perfection.
We shared everything so we could experience more of the menu. Filet with gouda on the side...cooked perfectly and the gouda was a delicious suggestion by our waitress. Lobster ravioli with a little spicy kick. Garden salad. Simple, lite. Not huge portions so we weren’t stuffed. Nice wine and beer to go along with our meal. We were quite happy with the meal!
Was in Winter Park last week for a ski trip and went to Deno's twice. It was my favorite place in Winter Park that we ate. Great food and really good service (from host and wait staff) both times. Good wine list and great bourbon list. Good cocktails. If you are in the mood for a salad, the Greek salad is one of the best I have ever had. The French Onion soup is good as well. Had a friend try and shrimp cargo and raved about it. All in all a great experience. Looking forward to coming back to Winter Park next year and for sure will hit up Deno's.
30 years owning my own restaurant!
My wife and I say this was excellent!
I was disappointed. I had 2 different people recommend it and didn't feel like it was worth the price. I had the Lobster Ravs which were ok but nothing great. I felt it was over priced for what we got. My husband had the Salmon and it was quite small and just average.
Saturday night decibel levels are very high. Chicken dish served was borderline grotesque in appearance. Could not wait to leave. Plenty of opportunity to improve.
Terrible evening. After trying to dine there multiple times before I finally booked a reservation far in advance for a special date. Got off to a great start with a corner table. But it was almost too noisy to talk. I love a well paced dinner especially when eating a $40 steak. Our salad came 2 minutes before our entrees. We split a large salad but arrived with no way to serve it.
The waiter apologized but all in all it was a terrible experience, an expensive steak and I won’t go back.
surprisingly nice wine/beer/liquor list! accomodated a vegetarian and gluten free guest
Really good quality and fantastic service.
The food is excellent here. The service was okay for the 2 of us but the waitress had a huge table of people to serve while other servers were doing prep for the next day. I felt it unfair to our who was doing her best but obviously had too many tables to serve adequately. The decor is okay but needs to be upgraded a little. Overall, good food.
Muy recomendable, lo mejor es hacer reservación.... la mesera bien, aunq se le olvidaban las cosas.
Good option for steak . Several wine options including lower priced options. 2nd visit / likely a yearly stop.
Service and food are both top notch. Especially the filet mignon
Enjoyable venue, good food and drink, but the copper topped tables (although very attractive) were cold to lean on.
I was very excited to have dinner at Deno's - most of the reviews were positive. I am sorry to say I can't agree with them. We started with a Caesar salad - surprisingly bland. That was the first clue that this might not be the great meal I was expecting. I ordered a pasta - just didn't feel like steak and it was just ok - very oily - not much flavor. Ok - so it is a steak house - the steak should be great - Sadly - no - my husband ordered the NY strip - it was so over salted he couldn't finish it. I love salt and even I thought it was too salty. The best thing we ordered was the burger. The atmosphere was fun - 70s apre ski but food was mediocre. Very disappointing!
A bit more upscale than the nearby restaurants, though this is a skiing town so everything is casual. Food was very good, service great, place looks good.
Only two complaints. It's pricey and noisy. I'll admit, I'm more sensitive to noise than most, but this is one of those places you have to work hard to be heard on a busy night.
I had the special of the night... the Misto Mare was one the THE BEST dishes I've ever had at Denos. ...The tomato/fennel broth was divine!
Great service and wonderful food!!! Will definitely return.
Daughters 16th birthday
Bill, our waiter was great. It was a really busy night and there was lots of friendly staff so it went well. We will go back for sure.
Best steal I've ever had. we look forward to our next visit.
Wonderful service and food!
Very good food. Waiter and kitchen brought the main dinners well before appetizers were finished even after being told to hold the main courses for a while
Everything was great. Looking forward to coming back next time we are in Winter Park.
Interesting food choices, kid friendly, pleasant, great staff
