We’ve been to Delvina in the past, and this meal was the best one yet. We each had a salad to start, my boyfriend had the tri color, and I had one of the specials, poached pear, arugula & feta. We each ordered the veal chop, which was excellent, as was the sautéed spinach. Service was fine, except the waiter stacked the plates, as he cleared the dishes.
I love this place
It’s the best food around and the people are friendly
You can eat quietly or at the bar in the other room
I feel like it’s a secret and no one knows about it
Food, service were fabulous!!
Second time here in two months...love this place. First time I had the ribeye which was amazing, seared perfectly, and this time was the branzino. Excellent food, professional service and a good atmosphere make this place a keeper.
The staff there is so kind and warm. You are NEVER rushed and the food is great!
Food was very good but fish selections were limited... Good place to hide and relax with a mature crowd. Not the energetic feel that makes you want to hang and have drinks after dinner.
This was our third time at Delvina. We were very pleased our first dinner there, were somewhat pleased the second time & thoroughly disappointed yesterday night. My date ordered a tri colored salad, and received a house salad. The waiter removed the first salad, & it took a while for the correct item to arrive. I ordered the pappardelle with wild mushrooms, and there wasn't a wild mushroom in the dish, only button mushrooms. My date ordered one of the veal dishes. His description of the dish was cardboard slathered with a thick sauce, loaded with button mushrooms. We aren't planning on returning to Delvina.
Lovely restaurant with great food. And for the ambiance and quality of the service and food it is not all that pricey. The staff is great- very sweet, polite and helpful. I loved it!
We have, been to Delvina several times. It keeps getting better. The veal asti was superb. Our companions, enjoyed their meals. They are regulars. Service is solicitous. We were very happy.
Love this place. Amazing food and staff. Family owned and operated. Great spot.
Good food and recommend. Place clean and nicely done.
The staff was absolutely outstanding and very kind to 2 elderly relatives.
Absolutely outstanding, friendly and patron focused service by the staff and restaurant owner.
The food was good, but not necessarily worthy of the price. The service was very good.
This was our second time at Delvina, and unfortunately, we were disappointed. We each had a salad to start, my boyfriend had the tricolor, and I had the beet. They were both fine, nothing special, yet satisfactory. My boyfriend had the grilled veal chop, which was tasty, but smaller than other veal chops we've ordered at other restaurants, yet the same price. The biggest disappointment was the pasta which I had. It was the sprecial pasta, bolognese made with filet. Unfortunately, it was so salty, I ate very little and took the rest home. When I tried it the next night, they had sprinkled it with parsley, which was gritty. We were hoping Delvina woulda be our local go to restaurant, but now, I doubt it.
The best part of the experience, all of it (from start to finish). Good food, nice atmosphere, great service, never felt pressured to leave and staff provided great recommendations on the meals and wine selection.
Really can't say enough about the staff. They were extremely attentive.
Will be back.
Had a delightful dinner at Delvina.. The second time dining at his restaurant with friends.
Everyone was happy with their meals, Dover sole special was delicious but it was a little pricey, they should have mentioned the price.
Our first time here, we've been to their other restaurant, Cliff Steak. I had the special salad, arugula & mango & the veal chop, both were excellent. My date had the ribeye steak, which was also a special. The only negative was his appetizer, mozzarella carrozza which was a huge disappointment.
Great blue point oysters, steak was perfectly cooked to our satisfaction. Ordered the porterhouse for two.
Certainly a place to go back to.
Great food and excellent service!
The food was amazing. Service was great and very nice place for a date night
The food and service were both exceptional! We will definitely be back again soon.
Delvina was very enjoyable for a New Year's Eve dinner! The restaurant was not too loud and the food and wine were very good. Delvina was also very accomodating! When we asked to add another 2 people onto our reservation only 30 minutes before, it was not a problem. They also made an effort to accommodate a guest with a gluten allergy by putting any sauce that potentially had gluten in it in the side of her dish, rather than over her fish. Overall, a great choice for our NYE dinner!
The food was good but the service was scattered and was a negative influence during our dining experience.
It was a slow, rainy Wednesday night, so we were the only people in the restaurant. I don't know how much this had to do with the attention we got, but it was outstanding. The staff was very attentive, the ambience very romantic and the food was very tasty. I would highly recommend Delvina's to anyone and will be back for great Italian-American dining.
Emer, Iver and Benny always make us feel right at home. I have never been told that I could not have something the way I wanted it.
this is a true gem...great and genuine Italian cuisine plus terrific service...plus they'll make anything you want if you don't find what you want...bellissimo!
This place was really great. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for a good steak and found this place on Yelp. We had an absolutely lovely date night here - great ambiance, the food was wonderful and elegant, but the place wasn't SO fancy that you had to be overly dressed up - we felt fine in our regular attire from the day.
My only complaint about the place would be that I felt like we were slightly discriminated against based on our age and appearance - it looked like mostly middle-aged couples/families, and we are in our 20s with some visible piercings and tattoos. We had to ask to receive menus. It took awhile to get a waiter to bring us water or bread, and we noticed we were the only table that didn't get served olive oil with our bread. We got the sense that they were expecting us not to be able to afford much of a meal, so they didn't want to waste too much time on us.
Our meal lasted about two hours, which I liked - most of the other tables around us were there for a long time as well. We weren't rushed out, and we had a decent amount of time to sit and talk between courses. This is a great spot if you're going with someone you'd like to have a lengthy conversation with.
The food was very good, but I wasn't necessarily blown away by anything (except the steak, which was excellent quality meat). We had calamari, steak, veal, a bottle of wine, and a piece of cheesecake. The cheesecake was disappointing, we didn't even finish it - it was very dry, crumbled when you tried to cut your fork through it, and didn't even taste all that great - it had a little bit of an orange flavor to it. Maybe it was an old piece? Or maybe it had been frozen and didn't thaw well.
Overall, our bill came out to $130 - not terrible considering how much we ordered. It's on our list to go back to again for another date night.
This is a local gem! The food is so fresh and delicious! If there is something not in the menu that you want, they'll make it! The service is great! If you haven't tried it, good
Food was excellent. Service not so. Had to ask for bread. Then had to ask for butter. Asked for salad with dressing on the side, salad was brought with dressing in it, asked for pasta (Primavera) to be draindbeforebein served, it was served swimming in oil. Had to ask waiter to come with Peppermill. Perhaps they were too busy with a party in another room and were shorthanded. All in all it was ok albeit pricey. Will give them another shot.(party of 7).
Excellent service and great food.
For our first time here, we chose Del Vina based on OpenTable reviews. When we first arrived, it wasn't busy so we had initial doubts that were soon put to rest.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing.
We ordered two specials, and two glasses of wine and one appetizer.
We had no idea what the bill would be until it was in our hands.
The appetizer was reasonable. The glasses of wine were reasonable.
The specials were pricey, especially when we had no idea how much they were to begin with and this is my only issue with the restaurant.
If you order anything not on the menu, ask for the price.
Food was very good. Special scallop appetizer was good but only 3 scallops? It will be a expensive night prices are a little on the high side.
Best salmon dish I have ever tasted.
We had a very nice meal. The food was good, including the avocado salad special and gluten free pasta. Portion sizes were large. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.
It was a holiday, I made reservations through open table as usual. I was super happy to find a spot for us to eat (7 people) on short notice. I booked the spot less than an hour before. We we got to the restaurant, they claimed they didn't have our reservation. I could SEE it on the computer screen! I pointed this out and they said it was too short notice! WTF?!
We had two toddlers and elderly parents in tow!! I was astonished! No effort was made to accommodate us or even apologize, apparently it was my fault!
Fortunately as this was occurring my husband went across the street to a wonderful restaurant that accommodated us.
I was fuming and contacted OpenTable.
OpenTable was kind enough to call the restaurant and try to correct the situation, the owner or manager apparently wanted to give a dessert or something- we refused. We will never again give our business to this place and don't recommend it to anyone! They have no idea how to treat paying customers.
My husband took me out for my first mothers day dinner and it was great! We had a delicious romantic dinner and the service was great! very friendly staff!
We have lived in the area many years and this is without exception the best Italian food outside of New York City. Every dish is fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. The pasta is exceptional, the veal chop parmigiana, salads, mussels and fish dishes are also wonderful. Prices are very reasonable for very high end cuisine. And, the service is wonderful. The atmosphere is on the quieter side of fine dining, but still friendly enough for casual dress and families. Don't hesitate. Delvina is wonderful!
Great local Italian restaurant-good food, great service and quite atmosphere-veal dishes recommended.
