Our first visit here was amazing and we returned with very high expectations. Perhaps that wasn't fair because this visit just couldn't live up to the first. The food was very good still, but not quite as much as the last time. Very small wine selection and the one bottle we wanted was not available. An increased wine list would be a huge improvement.
At the last minute, we decided to have Thanksgiving Dinner at a restaurant. We were happy to find that Delvickio's had openings. None of us had eaten there before, so it was a new experience for all. The food was wonderful. We each had something different and each of us raved about the flavors. The calzone was stuffed full and the crust was tender and tasty. We wished we had saved room for dessert, but we'll be back and plan better next time.
It took a fairly long time for our food to be served, considering that the restaurant was not very crowded.
This is our 2nd time at Delvickio's recently and it was pretty good…last time was much better. (meatballs & spaghetti) My manicotti was a bit mushy with little flavor and my husband's lasagna was not quite hot enough…rather cool in the middle. We asked for more breadsticks, but were charged for them? Seriously? They should have told us that before we ordered more. Nice salad.
The red checkered tablecloths are fun. The wait staff was nice, and efficient. But, overall, nothing that special.
It is our go to place when we are visiting Boulder.
I rarely see such well-reviewed restaurant on OpenTable, but this one has lots of positives so even though it was located in a strip mall, my wife and I gave it a go. We knew from the moment we walked in and smelled the fragrant garlic, fresh bread and marinara, that we picked the right place. Everything was so delicious and fresh and well-priced. The house cheesecake for dessert was very good as well, but not their strong suit. I had the Spaghetti Delvickio and loved it. My wife enjoyed the manicotti with chicken and loved it. The breadsticks were fresh and amazing, the spinach and artichoke dip, the best we ever had. Service was very good. I have nothing bad to say about this place and we will be back.
This is my fourth time eating at Delvickio's and I have to say I'm always pleasantly surprised. You never know what you're gonna get when you eat at a restaurant in a strip mall, but Delvickio's always delivers. My Girlfriends and I have made it our special occasion place of choice. We are never disappointed with the Food or the Service. I highly recommend Delvickio's to everyone looking for a Great place eat.
I was very impressed as were my husband and daughter. The pasta was al dente! Many Italian restaurants just don't get it..overdone pasta just ruins the meal. We ordered the Toasted Ravioli which was fabulous! Our meals were so tasty and the sauce was just right..not too thin not too heavy and not too sweet. The salad and bread were very good. The only problem we had was that the second bowl of bread we requested we were told that each breadstick would be a .50 cent charge which we thought was kind of odd. I guess a lot of diners order another basket and don't eat it and it just gets thrown away so I guess that makes sense. Overall, we'll be back! We are former eastcoasters and finding great Italian food in Colorado has been impossible.
We made a reservation for Brunch on Mother's Day not realizing that it was a buffet and you could not order from the regular menu until later in the morning. The dishes were just average and not to our liking. Nothing special. We were seated in the adjoining room and did not get to enjoy the ambience of the restaurant itself which we would have liked since it was our first visit to this restaurant. The only item I really enjoyed on the buffet were the meatballs which were very good. I think we will try it once more when we can order from the menu - probably for lunch. The server was friendly and helpful but they were so busy we did not see her much. It was apparent everyone was working hard though.
Sweet, locally owned spot. But the skeleton crew made the waits for refills and main entree a little long.
My family and I went here for Easter brunch with high hopes. This place had received great reviews for last years brunch. The selection of brunch foods was great, plenty of options and it looked delicious. It was all very disappointing when actually tasted, however. Gummy pasta, dry egg casserole, bland breakfast burritos, and super salty pot roast. The coffee cake was good! Our server was very polite, albeit not very on the ball. We had to request water three times, toast twice, etc. Little things, but several of them. To top it off my card was charged for 3 meals, and the manager laughed about, and offered no apology . Bottom line, don't waste your time, money, or calories.
Everything was delicious and we had great service.
It was our first visit to Delvickio's and we enjoyed the good the service and the atmosphere. Look forward to our next visit. A little loud and hard to carry on a nice conversation without speaking loud.
First you have to try the bread sticks-they are amazing and as light as air. We could have eaten a ton of those they were so good.
There were 4 of us all having different items, Veal 508, Veal Picatta, Carbonara, sausage gnocchi. Salads were fresh and crisp.
Wine list could use some improvement but the Valpolcelli we had was very good. Price is very reasonable and you get great food, Julie was our server and she was a lot of fun. So go and enjoy.
The food was good and the waiter was right there if we needed any thing I would definitely go back again
Great food and very reasonable prices.
diner was good but the desert was not
Our group of 4 had a wonderful time and the food was delicious. Nice Italian ambiance. Good wine. We will go again soon
The food was tasty, however the portions lacked size. Having to pay for a refill of the bread basket was a bit disheartening. Might go back sometime in the future, but not rushing to get there...
Two girlfriends and I meet for brunch Superbowl Sunday. The food is delicious and usually the service is great. This server seemed to be annoyed that people were eating out on Superbowl Sunday. My friend ordered a mocha, but the server said they can't make that even though it was on the menu. Another item we ordered, the restaurant was out of. This was never mentioned or pointed out before we had mulled over the menu. Usually a a great place to go for any meal. Our waitress didn't want to put forth any effort. We will go back but we'll switch tables if we get the same waitress.
A wonderful find. The spaghetti, and the veal was delicious, Our table for 4 loved the bread. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time with good friends. Our meal was not great we all got the New Years special that they offered , it was a great idea just a few poor decisions on there part. It was obvious that they cooked the pasta in advance and reheated it as it was mushy. The special included dessert which was great but we had to share it, we would have all been happier with a smaller portion for each person rather than one large shared dessert! Our bill came and it was not added correctly . I realize it's a busy night for them but they sure missed a chance to gain a customer...too bad as it is close to home and a place I've been wanting to try!
We eat here often and have never been disappointed! The food is GREAT----everything prepared in-house (pasts, salad dressings, desserts, etc). This particular evening was very busy, but the staff handled it with ease! Best Italian food in the Broomfield area!
This is a nice place! It's great to have a neighborhood place to go to. We went on a Saturday night and didn't have a waiting list. The service was slow, but the food was great. I did notice on our way out that there was a large party in a back room so that probably accounted for the service. I would definitely go back. Alfredo was delicious!
We have lived in the neighborhood for about 3 years, and I can't believe we waited this long to try this restaurant. The food was quite delicious, and the service was awesome as well! Can't wait to go back with friends and family!
We were seated promptly and the salad and drinks were delivered soon after we ordered. The we sat and sat waiting for our food and I looked around and the other patrons were also waiting for there food. Then the wait person stopped by and explained that they had a banquet and they were serving them first and sorry for the wait. Really!!!! So the manager came to the table and said that the banquet was a very large party and they had to get there food served first. So I said so we don't count as part of your business. She replied, " I didn't say that" Well not in those words but yes you did say that by tell us that your banquet took priority over us!!
So I asked here why the kitchen was not staffed to make sure the entire restaurant.
Referred by a friend who raved about the Superior location, so we decided to try this one. Although restaurant was not full or busy, service was slow and rather spotty. Food itself was fine, but nothing above average. Server was almost non-caring when one order failed to come out with the rest of our 7 person party's orders. Nothing was bad, but nothing won ravs and as such, not worthy of a return visit.
Finally, a restaurant that's right in the neighborhood that is a step above the same ole bar & grill scene. We had a wonderful family birthday celebration! Great food , nice ambience. This has become our favorite neighborhood spot.
We choose Delvickios as the special place to celebrate our anniversary, and were oh so happy we did. The food was exceptional, especially the Pasta Primavera and fresh breadsticks. Our waitstaff was well-timed, friendly and efficient. We will be coming back and bringing our friends.
We have gone her for many dinners but wanted to try the Brunch. It serves a variety of eggs, pancakes, French toast it was very good. The omelets we all had were filled to the brim and very tasty - service was very attentive. A nice spot for a reasonably quiet breakfast-brunch and priced well.
Close to shopping, easy parking and very good food. I expected the meal to be "adequate" but was happily surprised to enjoy excellent veal piccata. House wine was better than most house wines. Service was friendly and competent. When I am back in the area, I will definitely go again.
I ate the entire calzone and salad it was so fantastic! The lunch special was great, sat outside on the patio at lunch. Had a moment I thought I might be on vacation everything was relaxed and summery.
We went for Mother's Day which offered a brunch or menu option. We went at 11:15 thinking it was before it would get super crowded. Delvickio's is delicious and wonderful, yet I don't think they were prepared for brunch. The trays were almost always empty and it seemed the kitchen could not keep up. The waiter was kind to not charge us for our 5 yr old getting brunch since there was a constant battle to keep pancakes, eggs and french toast supplied. That's why I listed the service as good. I have gone back since, but will probably not do the brunch option again. When we did receive our food, it was delicious, just more of a wait than expected.
We enjoyed the food. Nice variety of pasta dishes. Excellent value for what you get! Everything was tasty. Some dishes were simpler that others, but that's a nice feature of a neighborhood-style Italian restaurant. Staff was friendly. Service very good.
Located in a strip mall and easy to find. Nice and relaxing and not hurried by the server. Nice neighborhood find. We will go back again.
Excellent, however, just a little too expensive for what we got. The food was very good (!), however, I've had just as good for less money. The service could have been a little better.
The wait staff for Easter brunch were excellent. However, the brunch items were empty when we arrived for our reservation at 12:00. My group has lunch there and the food is always good. Brunch was not especially good, we had to order one item from the kitchen even though it was on the brunch list. We did have to wait for the food to be replenished. It did not seem very organized, but we did enjoy the drinks and the service.
Easter brunch, 2013. Most of the breakfast food got cold way too quickly, very limited hot luncheon items. Pretty weak offerings overall. Best part was the Eggs Benedict. Thought bottomless Mimosa's were included, but they were an additional $10.95/person. Perhaps I just misread the website. Not bad, but not enticed to return.
Took my fiancee here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. The service was top notch. We were seated immediately after entering, and had our choice of seats in an area right before it filled up. Food was excellent as well. Would highly recomend this to any one who wants a quality italian meal.
Food was bland. Nothing noteable. Service fair. Definately a "do not return" restaurant.
