We have been to Delvickio's many times but in the last year we have cut back. The quality of the veal and other items we like has gone down. We have even been to the brunch a couple of times. First off the garlic bread rolls are the best I have ever had anywhere period. The light fluffiness and hint of garlic make them addictive and I could have just a salad and 2 or 3 orders of them alone. The atmosphere has changed this time on the day before New Years it wasn't crowded at 7:30. The greeter has gone from dressing nice to jeans and tennis shoes, the place looks and feels old. It needs a good cleaning and updating. The lemon cake another favorite was over cooked and dry almost inedible. So we won't be back until we here some changes have been made, and by the emptiness during busy time I am not alone in that assessment.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it came highly recommended. I was not blown away by the food or atmosphere but I will go back and here's why. They were extremely busy. I had made a reservation and when we arrived there was a sign on the door that they were very busy due to several large parties. The only seating available was the patio. We never got bread because our waiter said the kitchen couldn't keep up. Our waiter did comp a dessert for our table to share. I will try it again because the menu offered many wonderful choices and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that had they not been so busy the visit would have been more satisfactory; however perhaps they should not confirm more reservations than they can handle.
This is not a place I would recommend. The food is quite tasteless and the service leaves something to desire. My angel hair pasta with shrimp came in a sauce so thin it was like a soup instead of pasta with sauce. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The inside is very nice though so it does have that going for it.
This was by far the best meal we have had at Delvickio's so far...and it was so nice since there were 6 of us neighbors out together! The manicotti and meatballs and spaghetti were both just delicious!! Our friends had equally delicious entrees. The meatballs seemed better than usual and the sauced was chunky and so good!! Some of your entrees seemed over-pried at $16-$17, so we tend to get the less expensive ones.
We had a great dinner. I made a specific request, if possible, to be seated in a quiet area. The restaurant had our reservation but apparently didn't see my request as they sat us right by the front door where cold air could be felt. I asked if we could change areas and they accommodated us - which was nice.
The food was very good. We will be back.
We discovered this restaurant while on a business trip to Colorado and ended up eating there twice and ordering take-out once. Delicious traditional Italian food! Husband had the veal Picatta for one meal and the veal Parmigania the next time. I had their amazing lazagne the first time and, on our waitress's recommendation, the "Best of Both Worlds" the next time. All delicious!
Now to our waitress, Tara. She was attentive and super friendly and made us feel as though we were long-time guests. We truly enjoyed getting to know her.
We were too full to eat dessert there but took cannoli back to our hotel. All the desserts are home-made and wonderful. Take something to go for later if you are too full of pasta.
We also discovered a drink on the cocktail list that is addictive. Italian honey lemonade. Very light and refreshing. Their wine list is varied and not over-priced like some of the restaurants in the area. All in all, I highly recommend Delvickio's. Thanks Tara for being so sweet to us and giving us such a wonderful experience!
We have been here close to 10 times it is one of our favorite places to have a brunch on the weekend or dinner when friends are in town. We can depend on the food being very good and we have never had a bad meal. The Garlic Bread Sticks are to die for - light fluffy and just taste great - no need for sauce but it comes with it. I have 1 of the 3 veal dishes Marsala, Picatta or Veal 506 all are tender and delicious. So good wine by the glass choices the Chianti and Sangiovese are very drinkable. So don't hesitate to go and enjoy, relaxed atmosphere.
Our reservation was for 2 people the host asked us if we'd be ok sitting at a bar table as he didn't have any tables just for 2. I said no because I made a reservation like everyone else did he sat us at a table for 4. There were 4 other empty 4 tables during the time we were there (from the time we were seated until we were finished) Also a dessert entitled chocolate fudge cake was just a flourless chocolate cake.
Host at the restaurant informed us on arrival that their restaurant no longer used Open Table for reservations, even though we had made a reservation through open table.
After a short wait he found us a table. Our bottle of wine came to the table already uncorked. Food came quickly, even though it was a busy Friday night, and our server was very efficient.
Thin, sweet red sauce and overcooked pasta.
Salads had nice greens that were wilting from being pre-made.
Restaurant does not employ a bartender, "we don't serve that much hard liquor, so wait staff mixes the drinks!" My martini had no olives, my husband's manhattan was overly heavy with cherry juice. Waiter forgot to turn in appetizer, served salads & then when he noticed we hadn't touched them asked if we would like to put a hold on our entrees? "I don't want to rush you". He was told that we were still waiting on the appetizer. Oops! Manager comped the so-so appetizer & apologized for the mix-up. Entrees were okay, but for $80 expected a better dining experience...what a disappointment.
We were looking for a place that was in the Broomfield/Westminster area that would be serving good food and reasonable prices. This place has yummy breadsticks and good size portions. It is large enough for bigger parties and has a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves a great deal. I had the chicken ravioli and it was wonderful.
We were seated on the patio. It was early for a Saturday night so no other customers wee out there. Our server took our order and then we never saw her again. No refill on water. Our appetizer was forgotten . The salad came and nothing else. I had to go into the restaurant myself looking for our appetizer. Never came. Our main dish came...cold.
The server came our finally apologized for forgetting to put in our appetizer. She wanted a medal for owning up to her mistake.
In the end we only paid for our main dish, a they offered us dessert on the house.
So many better restuaurants in Boulder. It's worth ride. Stay away from this one.
The food was good. The food was arranged in two groups: breakfast food and lunch food. They had an Italian pot roast that was very tender and tasty. For some reason they only had one stack of plates that was at the beginning of the breakfast side of the line. They could have reduced the length of the line and made it easier for everyone if they had plates available at the lunch section. The price was $26 per adult, plus they charged $2.50 extra for coffee, which I found annoying. The price was reasonable considering that it was not a huge spread.
Thought the bookcases with empty wine bottles was a unique way to enhance the décor. Food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly and informative about food choices. Spaghetti was out of this world said my husband. My dish was good but I had never tried goat cheese which is a interesting taste. Planning to go back to try more dishes and bring a group with us.
The food was good but the service was very average. Limited wine list and the house was terrible. We made a reservation and after arriving realized it wasn't needed. Then they sat us right next to all the other people there. The waitress wasn't around much and acted like she really didn't care we had come in.
I noticed the young kids clearing tables were working their tails off! If not for them our water glasses would have never been filled.
This was our 3rd time visiting this restaurant, and we have had good service/food the first two times. Unfortunately, this time it was not good at all. We brought two other families with us to celebrate New Year's Eve, but after our experience those two families will not visit the restaurant again. This was their first and last time there. The food was good, but the service was awful. We had three small children with us so we wanted to get in and out. It took us 3 hours! 1 hour was spent waiting for the bill. We came at 530pm to avoid the main dinner time, but we didn't leave until 830pm. After we left, we found out that the server charged our bills incorrectly after we explained who belonged on what bill. To top it off, we had no choice but to tip the server because we had a table over 8. Unfortunately, we probably won't be visiting this restaurant again.
Our first visit here was amazing and we returned with very high expectations. Perhaps that wasn't fair because this visit just couldn't live up to the first. The food was very good still, but not quite as much as the last time. Very small wine selection and the one bottle we wanted was not available. An increased wine list would be a huge improvement.
At the last minute, we decided to have Thanksgiving Dinner at a restaurant. We were happy to find that Delvickio's had openings. None of us had eaten there before, so it was a new experience for all. The food was wonderful. We each had something different and each of us raved about the flavors. The calzone was stuffed full and the crust was tender and tasty. We wished we had saved room for dessert, but we'll be back and plan better next time.
