Delvickio's - Broomfield
Poor service and very average food
Wanted to try this place out after several recommendations from other people. I don’t know why this place has close to 5 stars, the food is absolutely disappointing here. My Delvikios Linguine was drowning in what I could only assume was chicken stock and the breadsticks tasted like they were rolled from frozen Pillsbury dough and formed into something slightly resembling a stick shape. Marinara was about the same quality as Prego. I can definitely appreciate the local family business vibe, and service was professional, but the price lead me to believe it would be half decent pasta. Instead, it tasted like cafeteria food. If you are in search of actually good Italian, I would try elsewhere.
Best "Date Night" place in Broomfield. Service and food are consistently superb
Food was very good as usual. Miss the old Sinatra etc music that was played a long time ago giving it a more authentic feel. Service was average this time, usually better. Still enjoy Delvickio’s
Delvickio's is a great Italian restaurant in Broomfield. Juan, our server, made the experience remarkable. He was attentive, knowledgable and offered wonderful recommendations. I have been to this restaurant many times but this time was the best because of the exceptional customer service Juan provided. Mil gracias to Juan!
Very nice as always but we do miss the old Sinatra etc music they used to have.
We like Delvickios. The food we had (Lasagna with meat sauce and eggplant) was tasty, BUT we waited an inordinate amount of time for the entrees. After serving us or appetizer of garlic bread, we also had a soup and garden salad. The entrees arrived 45 minutes later. When the waiter came with the entrees, I said,"We were wondering if there was a problem." She didn't say a word. I did hear a waiter apologize to the table next to us for the wait. We were given a dessert as a peace offering.
Excellent service and delicious food! We will definitely return.
Not waited on initially which is very unusual here. Once noticed , apologies offered and service was over and above expected! Will continue to frequent this place!
The food was good, not great. People really like the read sticks; they were tasty but not unforgettable. The "Best of Both Worlds" dish was really good. The chicken fettucine alfredo was good, sauce was creamy and a bit too garlicy. The wine by the glass was alarmingly expensive, but the rest of the meal was very reasonably priced. I would go back as the value of the food was good, the ambiance was nice, and it was a pleasant experience.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. The live music on Friday night was perfect. This is a great place to meet friends and enjoy good conversation and dinner.
Delvickio's is outstanding every time I visit . I have recommended this place to several times, and everyone loved it.
We had dinner here on 11-3-18 it was delicious now I am from New York so i am very particular about my Italian food. It was very good. We will be back.
Loved the food and service. Great menu. Waiter was awesome. Will definitely go back.
It's a great restaurant. I go there frequently. However, I ordered veal. I have to say the veal was tough.
Huge portions at very reasonable prices. House salad was fresh and more than just lettuce. Spaghetti with sausage had an obviously fresh-made tomato sauce. I would return.
Ivan and Juan are two of our favorite people who work at Delvickios! Both bring their genuine personalities to provide the best experience to any occasion - Sunday brunch, family/ friend dinner or special evening. The attention to detail, friendly personality and easy going make the experience more special.
I was so surprised to find that on a Saturday night this place had plenty of seating available. It is small and quaint. If you get the right table, it is perfect for a romantic dinner. Other seating options are right next to other tables though, so not much privacy. The staff are super attentive and wonderfully friendly yet professional. The food was excellent too! I love finding little gems like this, especially to stay away from the chain restaurants. I wish we lived closer because this would easily be a regular dinner spot for us. I will, though, go out of my way to get there as often as possible.
Have been the the hospitality business for over 30 years, DElvickio's is a outstanding restaurant. service and food outstanding. Was out on a first meet. We were able to enjoy dinner and conversation without feeling that we were at the table to long.
When we arrived, hostess said she had no reservation; told her we booked for our anniversary on open table, had requested a table for two, somewhat private not in middle of room. Reply was, 'oh the manager doesn't usually give us the open table reservations but I'm sure he has them'. We explained again it was our anniversary and our request. She proceeded to take us to a table for 4, not private, near the entrance, but at least not in the middle of the room.
One of the things we enjoy is the music (frank Sinatra etc) played here. Never too loud, just enjoyable. On this evening we could not hear it until we were ready to leave, and then it was very faint. May have been where we were sitting or may have been turned down.
There was no acknowledgement of our anniversary although we mentioned it twice, until we left at the end of the night where we were told 'thank you and happy anniversary '
Our name was never taken down to confirm we arrived for open table.
We are usually very happy with this restaurant. It's unfortunate we felt ignored on a special occasion .
Delvickios is always a great option for a date night. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. There was live music on this particular night, and it was a great touch.
Food was really good but service was very slow. Table was tiny and could hardly fit two plates of food on it.
The food and service were outstanding. There were families, couples and business people and everyone was comfortable. We will be back!
Love this restaurant. Service is delightful and the food is always good. We go for date night, birthdays, group of friends. One of the best "nice" meals in Broomfield
We have been to Delvickio's many times but in the last year we have cut back. The quality of the veal and other items we like has gone down. We have even been to the brunch a couple of times. First off the garlic bread rolls are the best I have ever had anywhere period. The light fluffiness and hint of garlic make them addictive and I could have just a salad and 2 or 3 orders of them alone. The atmosphere has changed this time on the day before New Years it wasn't crowded at 7:30. The greeter has gone from dressing nice to jeans and tennis shoes, the place looks and feels old. It needs a good cleaning and updating. The lemon cake another favorite was over cooked and dry almost inedible. So we won't be back until we here some changes have been made, and by the emptiness during busy time I am not alone in that assessment.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it came highly recommended. I was not blown away by the food or atmosphere but I will go back and here's why. They were extremely busy. I had made a reservation and when we arrived there was a sign on the door that they were very busy due to several large parties. The only seating available was the patio. We never got bread because our waiter said the kitchen couldn't keep up. Our waiter did comp a dessert for our table to share. I will try it again because the menu offered many wonderful choices and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that had they not been so busy the visit would have been more satisfactory; however perhaps they should not confirm more reservations than they can handle.
We had a great meal with friends. Nice menu and good food. Everyone was happy. The waiter was wonderful.
This is not a place I would recommend. The food is quite tasteless and the service leaves something to desire. My angel hair pasta with shrimp came in a sauce so thin it was like a soup instead of pasta with sauce. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The inside is very nice though so it does have that going for it.
We love Delvickio's so much we've eaten here multiple times a month for years. The service is friendly and the food is consistently excellent. We also have them cater our holiday party each year and our friends love it.
Real good Italian, a bit overpriced. Service was fantastic
This was by far the best meal we have had at Delvickio's so far...and it was so nice since there were 6 of us neighbors out together! The manicotti and meatballs and spaghetti were both just delicious!! Our friends had equally delicious entrees. The meatballs seemed better than usual and the sauced was chunky and so good!! Some of your entrees seemed over-pried at $16-$17, so we tend to get the less expensive ones.
We had a great dinner. I made a specific request, if possible, to be seated in a quiet area. The restaurant had our reservation but apparently didn't see my request as they sat us right by the front door where cold air could be felt. I asked if we could change areas and they accommodated us - which was nice.
The food was very good. We will be back.
This is always a great restaurant. The service this time was exceptional, and we really appreciated the attention we received from our waiter.
They have the best hands down bread sticks I have ever eaten.
Service slacking . They did not have wine or liquor that they advertised on the drink menu. I won't go back.
Great food! Great service. Definitely going back again soon.
Dependably delicious, fresh Italian food. What more could you want?
We discovered this restaurant while on a business trip to Colorado and ended up eating there twice and ordering take-out once. Delicious traditional Italian food! Husband had the veal Picatta for one meal and the veal Parmigania the next time. I had their amazing lazagne the first time and, on our waitress's recommendation, the "Best of Both Worlds" the next time. All delicious!
Now to our waitress, Tara. She was attentive and super friendly and made us feel as though we were long-time guests. We truly enjoyed getting to know her.
We were too full to eat dessert there but took cannoli back to our hotel. All the desserts are home-made and wonderful. Take something to go for later if you are too full of pasta.
We also discovered a drink on the cocktail list that is addictive. Italian honey lemonade. Very light and refreshing. Their wine list is varied and not over-priced like some of the restaurants in the area. All in all, I highly recommend Delvickio's. Thanks Tara for being so sweet to us and giving us such a wonderful experience!
Great food and service, I'll be back for more!
We have been here close to 10 times it is one of our favorite places to have a brunch on the weekend or dinner when friends are in town. We can depend on the food being very good and we have never had a bad meal. The Garlic Bread Sticks are to die for - light fluffy and just taste great - no need for sauce but it comes with it. I have 1 of the 3 veal dishes Marsala, Picatta or Veal 506 all are tender and delicious. So good wine by the glass choices the Chianti and Sangiovese are very drinkable. So don't hesitate to go and enjoy, relaxed atmosphere.
