Delta King - Pilothouse Restaurant
AB Bartender upstairs was awesome. we will definitely return and stay a night on the boat and visit with AB again
It's so nice to be on a boat on the river. Breakfast is easy and not crowded on a weekday.
Delightful restaurant in magnificent surroundings of the old riverboat cabin. We ate downstairs, not in the bar, and it was very good. I would definitely go back again.
My husband loved the spinach salad. But his calamari was not good. It was not very warm and he said it was too “bready.” The artichoke was also not great. I ate it but should not have. The spices gave me heartburn all night. It was incredibly messy, greasy and caked with way too much of the spices. Honestly, I can hardly believe this is even on the menu. We should have sent it back. The pork oso bucco was quite good but also could have been warmer. Overall I enjoyed my meal but hubby was less than impressed. Of course the ambience was lovely, we had a seat by the window watching the river around sunset which was fabulous. Service was pretty good. Tiny bathrooms are upstairs... only with hand dryers, yuck. I assume there is an accessible bathroom somewhere but definitely not the one I used. Part of me thinks I’m being a bit too critical but at these prices they could do a bit better.
Celebrating our Special Needs Sons great accomplishments!
I think this place is surviving off of it being a tourist attraction. The muscles with chorizo appetizer was good but the bread was not fresh , the osso bucco was not heated all the way through and you don't want to serve not thoroughly cooked pork and the mushroom risotto was not cooked properly it was still aldente it was pasty, it had no flavor it was bland and the one mushroom I did eat tasted like it was reconstituted dehydrated mushroom also my scallops appeared overcooked I say appeared because after the 1 small bite by me and my guest and his lukewarm temperature pork osso Bucco we paid for appetizer & drinks and left. Also they got his drink wrong and they got his salad wrong and didn't even offer fresh ground pepper I had to ask for it
We had a fabulous dinner. Our waiter David was incredibly attentive. It was our anniversary and he surprised us with dessert. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. We’ve been to the Pilot House before and we will be back again!
Dine Downtown - ravioli was way too salty, bass was not too well flavored but overall service was good and ambiance was fine. It’s a fun experience, but wouldn’t go back for the price.
Awesome service, food was ok; bartender was a cool cat.
We were the first ones seated at 11:30, but it took until 2pm to be served lunch and dessert for 4. Disappointing as this was a special birthday. Our waiter brought a bday dessert, nice, but did not bring the other three ice cream sundaes for 20 mins, kind of ruined that part of lunch.
Great setting right on the water. Great view. Excellent service. Food was okay... I expected more from the food, was disappointing...
Always a great dinner on a beautiful riverboat, lots of history in the Old Sac area
We had a very enjoyable Dine Downtown even. Between my husband and myself we got to try everything on the Dine Downtown 2019 menu and were pleasantly surprised at how tasty it all was. You can tell I didn’t go with high expectations, but now I would go again. Dine Downtown served its purpose. My stars for value reflect the DD menu.
I've always loved breakfast/brunch on the Delta King. I love the ship, the traditional decor of the dining room, and the lovely view of the river and water fowl. Dinner for the first time was disappointing. There's less view at. Night. The service was friendly but average. The food was disappointing. The pesto salmon filet was cooked nicely, but way too salty. And the pesto was not homemade. The lamb and kobe sliders were a nice appetizer, but the flatbread was cold and actually an awful mess. They were good to offer to take it off the bill and weren't defensive about it. So overall, a disappointment and not a great value.
Friendly staff, tasty food, Sea Bass was delicious, chocolate truffle torte was delicious, Kabocha squash salad was great.
We happened to be there at the same time as a rather large group that got loud towards the end of their meal. Otherwise, we had a very nice time and the food was very good. The server provided excellent wine recommendations.
This was our first time at the Delta King and we were not disappointed! The host was so sweet and everyone was very accommodating to my food allergies. We will be going back!
Delicious food. It was busy, so service seemed slow but otherwise a lovely experience.
My steak was ordered medium rare; it was medium well if not well. My wife's salmon was overcooked as well. Not something I'm used to experiencing in this price range. I rarely send food back but this was so bad I would have done so if we had time. Really wanted to share our experience with the waiter, but he never once asked how our meal was. But it looked like he was covering too many tables and was overworked.
Unique place, fun for dinner. Service is slow, food exceeded expectations.
The short rib ravioli was divine, rich and meaty. Our only complaint was the lackluster service. Our waiter didn't check-in on us once after dropping off our entrees, and we waited 20 minutes after finishing them before he cleared the table and took our dessert order. But the atmosphere and food were lovely.
Went here for our anniversary—they even celebrated with us and gave us a complimentary dessert. Everyone was warm and friendly and the ambiance really melted away the stress of the day away too!
Service staff are excellent and were friendly. Nice selections on menu. Food was very tasty and good pricing. Online menu needs to be updated.
Food was good. Water tasted funny:( The kids really enjoyed it.
We actually ate at the bar had a wonderful view of the river and sunset
Service a little slow. Food was delicious. Hotel is ok as long as it’s just one or two of you
Was very happy with everything about this place! Very romantic for my husband and I having dinner and celebrating our anniversary in Sacramento. I grew up here and always wanted to try this restaurant!
Tough menu for vegetarians but loved everything else
Great for the "river vibe" and good food with good service.
Service was super friendly, unfortunately food was not good at all, which is rare for me to say.
We sat down in the restaurant where a family was allowing their kids to be abnoxusly loud, so we moved to the bar area. It was lovely there
Orderd fish and chips - but the fish tasted way to fishy and the batter coating was a tad soggy
Took mom out for breakfast
First time being there. Great experience. Good waiter excellent steak thank you
We came there in plenty of time to catch a 7pm ballet but the food took a long time to get. It was explained to us that the chicken dish takes extra time. This should have been noted on the menu. It is a nice place to eat but the prices are a bit high and the lack of communication made the night stressful
We came for happy hour and tried all the things on the menu! Delicious, good prices and good service. Decorated nicely for the holidays and beautiful views of the river.
My husband and I dined here for my birthday. We hostess and wait staff were very attentive and wished me happy birthday several times. They brought a decadent chocolate dessert with a candle at the close of the meal. We were well cared for. The meal was delicious.
Made reservations for Sunday brunch for my wife's birthday. Nothing was said about her birthday. The food was not quite as good as Denny's
Won't be going back
The atmosphere was exquisite for a date and any other special occasion. We got a window seat and although it was at night we were still able to see silhouettes of Sacramento. I felt that the lighting could have been dimmer, but it didn't hinder the elite service or any other quality of the restaurant in any way. Definitely would recommend this!
New York Steak was mostly fat and grissle. Granddaughters birthday, on reservation and mentioned to hostess. Nothing. Been there many times over the years, but we moved out of state. Really disappointed.
