Reservations for 6:15 arrived 30min early we're seated right away.. as it got closer to theater time the noise level rose, excitement in the air. My Seabass was delish and my friend ate every bite of the salmon .. we will be back!!
We have been going to Delphine before going to a show at Pantages since their opening. Have always been treated w exceptional personable and friendly staff. Managers have always greeted us and welcomed us back. That attention has waned w their frequent changes in management. However, yesterday was the worse. We had to keep waving someone down for water, bread, plates ... anything and the food was slow and they brought the wrong entree so we had to rush through our meal. We loved this place So it’s very disappointing.
Had a business dinner with clients and thoroughly enjoyed our service. Our waiter was super attentive and helpful. Would recommend.
This is one of our favorite Restaurants !!! The Food, cocktails and service is outstanding !
Great experience! Went before the theatre. Delicious food arrived quickly yet we were not rushed!
Service was too slow. Waiter seemed to have too many stations
Delphine restaurant in W Hotel is a great location for pre Pantages Theatre dining. Also, valet parking at hotel is convenient location for the theatre. We stopped back after the show for a nightcap and the bar scene and music were very comfortable. Before the show the bar in lobby was filled and the scene was very energetic.
Have eaten at this restaurant many times before going to the Pantages with good service and good food. Found service to be terrible this time. Took three requests for second cup of coffee. Order came incorrectly and took forever for waitress to return to table and even longer to get it corrected.
Lunch before pantages show
The waiter had us in and out in plenty of time to make our show at the Pantages. That was great. The one thing I think I am not a fan of is the mandatory 17% gratuity that is added in the bill.
A great place for dining before a performance at the Pantages.
Great food, service and across the street from the Pantages.
We ate pre theatre and the service was EXCELLENT and the food perfect! I wish they had a more extensive wine list by the glass.
This is our “go to restaurant” for the Pantages Theatre. Adam is a terrific waiter. Personable and service oriented.
Great for a pre theatre dinner. I had a little problem with my main course, and it was taken care of immediately. Staff are attentive and helpful. An easy walk to the Pantages.
Delphine is one of our favorite restaurants in Hollywood! It’s a great place for lunch with it’s big windows and sunlit patio. At a little before 6:30, it becomes a romantic dinner spot complete with mood lighting (the lighting change is rather abrupt, but creates a nice evening ambiance). I’m a big fan of the filet mignon and nobody beats Delphine’s truffle fries. On this visit I tried the brown butter cauliflower and it was better than I ever imagined. Our server, Bethany, is a gem! She brought knowledge and humor to our evening. Always enjoyable, Delphine knows how to deliver a great evening!
We enjoyed the salmon and crab cakes. their bread is quite delicious. Perfect when you are attending the Pantages. I recommend this restaurant without reservation.
I can honestly say that was the best Blackened Chicken sandwich I've ever had!
Our second time eating here. First was better. Our service was not as good this time, and the wairess was hesitant to make substitutions for dietary needs that was a non issue the first time. Food was still good, as were the cocktails.
Best place to go for a great dinner before the Pantages Theater. Bone in filet is great. It is a bit pricey but if you can afford the prices and the built-in tip for the server, its a great choice.
We were just really bummed we didn’t get bread until the very end of our meal. We kept asking. Other than that, the food was delicious and hot. We always come here after our Pantages matinee show and thoroughly enjoy! But we crave that bread! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The loup de mer was just the first right portion, perfectly seasoned with a compatible side. Wonderful! With a glass of wine and tip, budget $150.
We frequently dine here when going to Pantages. Take the Metro and it is perfect. A favorite.
Took my husband here for a birthday lunch before going to the Pantages matinee. The food and the service were great as always. They have good cocktails also. We usually eat here when coming to Hollywood.
The food was excellent but the service was very slow. The waitress did not come to our table a single time to ask if we needed anything else or if we would like dessert. Only when we had to get out of there, due to going across the street to the Pantages, did she ask if we were going to the theater. By that time, it was too late to order dessert and we had had time to do that earlier but did not see her anywhere on the floor. This would all be fine but they add 18% gratuity to the bill regardless of how many in the party. As gratuity is not something you must give, this is a bad policy and I'm sure if she did not know what we would be tipping her she might have made more of an effort to service us.
Customer service was excellent. The meals were delicious. We had a great time as always. We attend shows at the Pantages theatre across the street 6-7 times a year and always eat at Delphine.
The food was good, the serve was slow, had to ask for coffee refill and soft drink order. Waited asked about dessert and we declined he disappeared. Had to ask manager for the check.
It's across the street from the Pantages, so we figured it would be good for a pre-show dinner. It was. Service was responsive, food was good, interesting menu, not a particularly good wine list but we found something we agreed on.
Not a bad place to stop on your way to the play. Not too expensive, the lobby of the W is fun to walk around and, if you have time, there's an interesting shop with old photos.
Great service ! Very friendly staff and excellent food ! My husband and I always prefer to eat at this restaurant before the play at the Pantages theatre .
Great service from the staff at a late hour.
1) I absolutely resented that they add 17% tip to your bill AUTOMATICALLY. No matter how small or big your party is. Regardless of the fact you loved or were NOT satisfied with your meal. Of course they don't tell you this when you sit down. It's in very small print on the bottom of the menu.
2) Service could care less about their job.... they KNOW they are getting 17% no matter what. Our waitress forgot our appetizer - when the meal was near the end and I asked - her answer was "Oh I must have forgotten to write it down"
3) The food just isn't that good. In one word.... BLAH. The tiny piece of seabass was a nice , but had absolutely no flavor to it at all. I asked for lemon but that hardly helped. $34 My daughter had the Linguini & Clams. Her same response. Blah. It sat in a bowl of oil - we could see the chili flakes - she even asked to have it made on the spicier side, to please add extra chili flakes, and we shook our heads laughing that there was no bite to it at all.
4) I should have listened to the Yelp reviews which gives them 3 stars. In my opinion that is still too generous. I could go on with a couple other unprofessional moves - but that's the gist of it. Save your money, there are plenty of other places to eat that are near the Pantages Theatre.
Our waiter Adam was awesome. We were there with our two 8 year old nieces and he was warm, funny and made them very comfortable. Very enjoyable evening.
Came here before catching Aladdin at the Pantages theatre. I set a reservation at 5:45 but was running late due to traffic. Called them a few minutes before we were supposed to be there and said we’d be 10-15 mins late. No problem, they said. Got there at 6pm, were immediately seated and not 40 mins later we were pretty much done eating! The food came out SO FAST and it was delicious!!!! We ordered scallops, filet mignon, chicken, truffle fries, mushrooms, mashed weiser potatoes with black truffles, and calamari. We were celebrating birthdays and they gave us 2 chocolate mousses for free. Everything was seriously soooo delicious. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.
Servers were nice, but very unattentive. Only especially good choice was the Caeser Salad!
Delphine is our favorite choice to dine before we head across the street to the Pantages for an evening (or afternoon) of theatre. My daughter (16 yrs old) wouldn't go to the theatre with me unless we go to Delphine first!! We have NEVER been disappointed with the service (5 stars), good selections for just a glass of wine for me, and always an order of truffle fries for my daughter. I love knowing that good memories are being made for a mom and a teenage daughter at the theatre with Delphine being a huge part of that! Thanks Delphine!!
Every bite was amazing. I was so sad to become full!
Good food, Caesar salad and chicken sandwich were very good
Booked reservation to eat dinner prior to seeing show at Pantages. Didn't even end up staying for dinner. Service was absolutely horrible. Took about 30 minutes just to get water and a drink. Ended up closing out and walking inside the W to eat at the bar... Never will go back. For being an upscale place I'm shocked how bad the service is. Also funny they automatically charge 17% for gratuity... Not much motivation for staff to work hard.
Great local if your going to The Pantages.
