Delphine - W Hotel Hollywood
Good for dinner before a show, service was a bit slow but food was fantastic and ambiance was great.
Fast service for so I can be on time to the theatre
Adam is an amazing server! Great experience!
An overall melancholy experience. Waiter was abrupt and a bit rude. Check was out on table before we requested it. Food was ok but substandard for the price. To get additional
Glasses of wine we had to flag down our waiter each time. Would not go again.
Perfect meal with family. It's great for pre theater or a family dinner ! Thank you
So convenient directly across the street from the Pantages. We went for a pre-theater brunch and got discounted parking at the W Hotel with our validation from Delphine. Excellent service, delicious food, good value, and very accommodating of special requests.
Don't go if you are trying to make a show across the street.
Had an hour and a half before the show. We were seated immediately and placed our order. Took 30 minutes for salad to show up. We never got our food, after watching people who were seated after us get their meals and with less that 15 minutes before the show start time at Pantages we had to leave because we never were served. Manager told us that there was a call off, but why then was our food not made prior to other tables that came in after us.
This was my second time eating at the restaurant and both times the waiters though very nice kept forgetting things. They forgot our bread both times and I also forgot our dessert, which left us sitting there waiting. I was also disappointed with the risotto. It was a little mushy and had very little flavor. By contrast we also ordered the scallops which were scrumptious. Not sure if we will come to Delphines the next time we are at the theater, but I’d like the atmosphere and convenience. Maybe next time we will just enjoy the lobby area and have drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Excellent service and fantastic food. I look forward to going again.
I've eaten here four years prior to the theatre; however, it took over an hour, two inquiries to check up on our order (eggs and bacon, nothing fancy) and our still didn't arrive. Finally left the restaurant without our food. New servers, seemed like a new floor manager. Hope they can retool.
Seeing a show at the Pantages
Delphine is always fabulous! The food is great and the staff is wonderful!
It's an easy pre-theater choice. Service was amazing. Food was ok.
I like to eat at Delphines prior to our season tickets at the Pantages. Have always had a good experience. Tonight, we ordered an appetizer, a salad, and two entrees. The appetizer and the salad were brought at the same time. I nicely explained the Brussels sprouts are our appetizer, please bring the salad back later and slow the food service down as we have plenty of time before the show. The wait staff apologized, but then avoided our table as much as possible, not clearing dishes in a timely manner and not checking on us. We finally had to call the wait staff over to ask for our salad, and call again to ask for another drink. The salad came, but was served along with our entrees! I guess the waiters never informed the cook staff of our request to slow the food service down. We had to quickly eat the salad so we could eat our entrees before they got cold. We should have ended the dinner there, but we chanced dessert. We ordered the signature French toast sticks. It came cold and burnt on the bottom. Didn’t even finish them. The wait staff did comp the drink my husband had at the bar before dinner and the waiter did thank us personally by name. Should I have mentioned my disappointment with the sequencing of the whole meal and the quality of the dessert?, probably. But, at that point, I was just ready to start the theater part of the evening. I rarely complain at restaurants. I’ve worked in restaurants and know how hard it is, but Delphines really missed the mark tonight.
Tried Delphine restaurant for the first time, and was very impressed. My husband and I had tickets to see a show at the Pantages, and wanted a restaurant nearby. Delphine couldn't have been closer to the theater, as it was directly across the street. We both loved the ambiance, service and food at Delphine's. I had the salmon, and my husband had a chicken dish with capers. We both shared the brussel sprout side dish. The wine choices were plentiful, and I ended my meal with a glass of frangelico. All food and wine/liquor were outstanding! My husband and I both would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a nice meal before a show. This restaurant was perfect!
This is a good restaurant to eat at if you are going to see a show at the Pantages Theater.
The food is well prepared and the service is also good.
Show at the Pantages—dinner before. Food was outstanding. Salmon and short ribs. Noisy lady next door table unfortunately.
We’ve done this before and we’ll do it again!!! Dustin is a good server.
No acknowledgment about a Birthday celebration. Food lacked flavor
Always a great Brunch prior to a show at the Pantages
Always great at Delphines
Great service and food. Just disappointed at the limited menu, which is a small version of what is on their website.
Amazing service and great ambiance!
Going to the Pantages Theatre with a friend.
Always great before the theatre.
The restaurant is nice but the chairs are hard and uncomfortable, it was a little noisy due some banging silverware and dishes in the background. I don’t know how this happens be there was a gnat buzzing at the table. The food was good and the bellini was pretty good.
Not related but relevant the area next pay booth for the car valet smells horrible, like dead fish, it’s not something you want to smell after eating.
Food was good, but pricey. Can't beat the proximity to the Pantages!
The food here is very well prepared and tasty. I was a bit disappointed though because I looked at their menu on their web site before we made the reservation and the items shown on the published on-line menu did not match the actual menu offered at the restaurant itself. You would think that the restaurant would keep their on-line menu up to date, as that is how people discover their offerings and make determinations on whether to dine there. We used to come here all the time when they first opened, and the menu was geared toward fresh seafood and shellfish items. It still is somewhat seafood oriented, but not as varied and not with as many choices. There was no real shellfish offerings other than mussels, which were delicious, and scallops, which was also very tasty. They also had lobster ravioli. Other than that, no other shellfish was offered. The other negative is that you have to pay $20 to valet park at the W hotel (regularly $25, but you get a $5 discount with validation). This is a steep price to have to pay for parking just to spend an hour or 2 dining at a restaurant. The restaurant itself used to have its own valet parking, that allowed you to pull up right in front on Hollywood Blvd. and it was no where near the $20 price. But that service sadly has disappeared now. You now need to go around to the W hotel driveway to use their valet. This restaurant used to be a hopping spot and was always crowded when we came here. On this visit there were only a handful of other diners. I actually liked that because the place was nice and quiet and we were able to have a good conversation without the need to shout across the table to drown out the room noise, which is a terrible condition that we have experienced at several other so-called popular restaurant spots around the Hollywood/LA area. The hotel lobby itself also used to be a jumping popular spot, but on this particular evening it was like a ghost town. Not sure if this was because it was a weekday?
Terrible service from completely indifferent server who needs another occupation, but food was excellent.
Food and service was amazing. I had the lobster ravioli's and they were perfect!
New menu, and not as many choices. Lobster ravioli was expensive, small portion and little Lonster.
Always delicious, friendly and very accommodating with the Pantages schedule.
Great food in at Delphine's in the W in Hollywood. Nice ambiance, and the room is set up such that there are tables that are somewhat private. The only criticism we had was that, although we arrived soon after they opened and there were only a couple of tables already occupied, it took almost 30 minutes for our meal to arrive. We were on a tight schedule and had mentioned that when we placed the order, but we still ended up having to ask the manager to check on the status of our order and ended up rushing to eat so we could arrive at our event on time. Other than that, though, the place is great.
The food was heavenly. I had the New York steak. I started with a Caesar salad, which I shared it was lovely and the dressing fabulous. Overall my experience was fantastic. I love the ambiance. You step off of Hollywood boulevard into a nirvana of cozy booths and quaint tables. Walls lined with books and Knick knacks enclosed in glass. Just a super experience.
It was good before theater food! Nice atmosphere, good service. The only disappointment was the dessert so wouldn't recommend that!
Always the perfect place to go before the show! I had the shortrib pappardalle - delish!
Such a lovely restaurant nestled. The Caeser Salad was sublime!
Poor menu choice, especially for pre theater. Only go because of convenience..
Had a pre-show dinner and choose Delphine because close to theater. Food and service (with Ian) were very good. Ambiance is of a high end coffee shop but prices reflect more of a fine dinning restaurant.
I've tried a few times to have Sunday brunch here before a 1:00 pm show at the Pantages and i am now officially moving on. The theatre is across the street - they should have figured out years ago how to deal with the rush or don't open for brunch -- or do open and accept half as many patrons. The restaurant become totally overwhelmed and the kitchen backed up, every patron around us was drumming their fingers on their tables wondering where there food was; it took about :50 to get our food and we were on tenterhooks about whether we'd make the curtain.
Over priced. Food was not very good and when it’s at that price point it was even worse. Would not return.
