I would recommend Delphine as one of the best options prior to the theater. That being said, there are very few good options in walking distance to the Pantages. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and our waiter, Ian. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The menu offers a good variety of options. We shared the amazing Brussel sprouts and we each had a very good kale salad. We added chicken which was moist, tasty and plentiful-unusual for an add on protein item. What the ambience lacks--it's a glorified coffee shop--it makes up for in service. Speaking of service, be aware that the service charge is included in the bill.

Food was decent overall; still rather pricy in the end. Best thing about it is that it is across the street from the Pantages if you are going to a show.

Have only eaten there for Sunday brunch. Would be nice if the menu was changed periodically. The food has always been flavorful and abundant. Can be quiet noisy although that does not damper the meal. Staff is always cheerful and courteous.

It's convenient for going to the Pantages Theater across the street; however parking is not cheap and neither is the food. It's "hotel pricey" -- meaning in any other restaurant (not within a hotel) the prices would be 20-25% less. But it is nice not to have to move the car between end of dinner and start of the show. So, the convenience factor makes it worth it.

A good place for a pre-theater dinner. Excellent service. The short rib pasta dish was good except the pasta was dry. I like the pre-dinner menu (3 course)

Very convenient to Pantages which was main reason for choosing Delphine. Would’ve given food 5 stars if medium burger was medium and not well done. Service was a little slow, but server was very nice guy. Cesar salad was extremely tasty. Homemade chips also pleasing to the palate.

We always enjoy dining at Delphine's! The food is delicious and the service is great. We especially enjoy the entrees that are inspired by French and European cuisine. See you soon Colleen B! Thanks for everything last Sunday April 14th . . .

I ordered the Striped Bass special and it was very good. Pretty light too. Their Caesar salad is delicious! Split it with my husband, because it's big enough for 2. The Chocolate Bundt cake was the Chef's Special dessert. It was good, but nothing special besides chocolate cake.

We always dine at Delphine before catching a show at the Pantages and the experience just gets better and better. The food is excellent (the sea bass special was amazing) and the service is wonderful. We usually take our nieces who just turned 8 and our servers are always patient and amusing making the girls feel very much at ease.

The food was fine- nothing great, nothing too crappy. The service was alright as well- sometimes a little hard to get their attention, but it was a little busy.

We were annoyed that they snuck in the tip on the itemized, but they left it off on the signature page with a space for tip as if it was not included already on the bill. We thought that was pretty sneaky.

Overall an “eh” experience- check your bill for

We have visited this restaurant several times in conjunction with going to a show at the Pantages across the street. It's very convenient either after the matinee or before the evening show. Valet parking is available with a $5 discount with validation at the restaurant. The menu is somewhat limited and has not changed in several years, but there are enough choices to please most anybody. Servers are attentive until the restaurant fills up and then service is slower. But if you tell your server that you are attending the show, they will get you out in time.

The Chicken Parmesan was horrible. Chicken was like rubber. Sent it back and ordered a chicken Cesar salad that was flavorless. The prime brisket burger was so so. Thank God for the homemade potato chip. I wouldn't go back. There lots of options before going to the theater.

We came after the dinner rush, right before the 8:00 play. Our server was triple sat which made the service at the end of the meal slower. We had the burrata and tomato, caesar salad, lobster melt, and pappardelle short rib. Burrata and pasta were both great but needed salt. My husband said his lobster melt was okay. I thought the ambiance was a little weird with people from the hotel cutting through. I wouldnt necessarily recommend unless you were going to a show.

The service was great, water was always filled, server was very courteous and prompt. However, the food was below average for the $$$. I ordered the roast beef medium and my friend, NY strip medium well. I prefer medium rare but if I don't know the restaurant, I don't trust the meat so medium and glad I did. The roastbeef was gamey. Beef should not be gamey. It was cooked right, pink in the middle but it was soooo tough that I had to struggle to cut it with a steak knife. My friend's NY strip was also below par. Loaded with carmelized onions and some spinach. We didn't finish the meals even though we were hungry. My friend wanted to try some dessert with the logic that how much can go wrong with desserts so we ordered the Signature Frend Toast sticks due to the word "Signature". We thought it was weird that French Toasts being served as dessert but since it's dessert, though maybe there's a twist, none whatsoever. Straight up French toast, powdered sugar with syrup for $14. So, do not get fooled by the word Signature. Next time, if I'm there to see a musical at the Pantages, either get there early and try something else or just eat at home.

We love this restaurant for pre-Pantages meals. The food is great and we also experience excellent service. Leave room for dessert as the Tres Leche cake and the Chocolate brownie were both outstanding. Also parking for the Pantages is discounted at the The W if you have validation from Delphine's.

Awful from beginning to end . The worst part of the experience was the service. We felt consistently unattended to even though two servers were seemingly assigned to us. One of the servers looked at us as if we had two heads when, after a half hour, we asked where our mock-tails were (they didn’t even have alcohol for goodness sake). The food took forever. When it arrived it was generally warm but about the oddest looking snapper I’ve ever seen. It looked like frankenfish based on size and shape but tasted pretty decent. The waiter had the audacity to chastise us when we didn’t take his recommendation to order a side of the corn dish (based on what we ordered it would have been too much food). After his entirely inattentive service he also had to audacity to ask us if we wanted dessert (we didn’t have time for another hour long wait for that to arrive). To add insult to injury a 17% service charge was automatically added to our tab. I took no pains to add to that amount. Most disturbingly I noticed the host attempt to seat a young African American couple in a nearly deserted area of the restaurant away from other patrons. They (smartly) protested and were seated with others. I call ‘em like I see ‘em. The valet, after charging $20 with validation, took nearly 15 minutes to bring my car down although the valet area was practically empty. The valet driver was very nice, though. In short, an utter disappointment- won’t be dining here again.

The staff was well-informed about the menu and very sensitive to our time limitation (saw Cats). They were especially sensitive to my serious food allergies without affecting my guest's enjoyment of the full menu experience. The food, as always, never disappoints and we rushed out only wishing we could carry the desserts in our purses so we could finish every last bite!

Wonderful to catch dinner at Delphine’s before the Pantages CATS! They offered a delicious special 3 course prix fixed CATS menu with salad, fish and dessert for $50. Interesting side note, they added 17% gratuity to the check...odd for 2 people dining. Service was great and plenty of time before going to see “MEMORABLE EVENING PERFORMANCE OF CATS. We also validated and valet parked at W so easy to retrieve car afterwards.

The idiom, “you can’t go home again” seemingly applies to a return visit to Delphines. The first time we went the food was incredible and the ambiance was quiet and relaxing, promoting engaging conversation. Unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment. Although my wife’s order of scallops was amazing, my experience with a Caesar salad equaled something I got pre-packaged at the grocery store, dry pre-cooked chicken cubes and nearly non-existent dressing. We ordered a side of Brussels sprouts, which had a unique flavor from the addition of grapes, but were soggy and had a glob of cheese in the bottom which lended nothing to the dish. We ordered the chef’s special desserts which were anything but special. It makes me truly sad, but I’m afraid we will not be returning. The restaurant was noisy and the service was rushed and understaffed. The most ridiculous part of the experience was there is now a mandatory 17% gratuity. Really? I generally tip 25-30% but when a mandatory gratuity is included that’s the most i’m going to give. Sad day, Delphines. I really miss the old days!

The menu has been the same for a couple of years. If you only go to the Pantages once in a while, no problem. We have season tickets and really enjoy going to Delphines before the show, but some seasonal additions to the appetizers would be great. Very nice restaurant, staff and they make sure you get to the show on time.

What a PERFECT place for anyone attending a Pantages performance!!! Delphine's FRONT DOOR is directly across the street from the theater front lobby & Will Call window. This venue was literally a SANCTUARY after coming out of traffic from the OC to downtown LA. Shoutout of GRATITUDE to hostess, Nicole for holding our table when we hit the worst of our traffic & Colleen for her OUTSTANDING customer service. Her food suggestions were spot on & Chef did not disappoint. The table ordered the Lobster/Brie Croissant sandwich & Pre-Fix Cats Theater Menu (Arugula Salad, Roasted Halibut & Tres Leches Cake) YUM!!! YUM!!! & more YUM!!! Remember to validate your parking ticket to get $5 off the $25 parking fee... AWESOME!!! Delphine's is my NEW GO-TO :) We will most DEFINITELY be BACK!!!!
