Delmonico Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We went for my husband's birthday. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. The sides were large enough to share so we all sampled. The corn dish was my favorite. The food was great, but I was super impressed with our waiter and the support staff. I'm so sorry I don't remember his name but he was exceptional! He had a nice sense of humor and great recommendations. (You recommended the pomegranate martini for my mother-in-law, you know who you are!) The food was great but the wait-staff were what made our dinner exceptional! Thank you for a great evening!
I took my wife here as a special thank you for all of her sacrifice while I was deployed for the last four months. I planned the trip to Las Vegas back in August and I was a little nervous to see how everything would play out now in Nov. We stayed in the Venetian and enjoyed a few fun things like the High Roller at night and some shopping in the forum near Caesars Palace. Sunday night we had tickets to the Cirque De Soleil show “O” and Chef Lagasse’s Delmonico restaurant was the perfect precursor.
Walking in you get a feel that you’ve entered a very high end classy restaurant but as the staff greets you it feels more like you’re being welcomed home. The gratitude for you choosing their establishment as your choice to enjoy a meal is abundant in their eyes and felt strongly. Our server displayed such a gracious level of professionalism and gentlemanly demeanor that just spoke volumes to my wife and I.
The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started off with the truffle potato chips for an appetizer and they do not disappoint. We shared a wedge salad and some fresh bread as we waited for our meals. Our main course was filet’s cooked medium rare and asparagus along with the twice baked potatoes as sides. Truly words cannot describe the perfect and flavor and tenderness of that steak. It put a steak I had in Dubai at a 5 star hotels beef bar to shame and that steak was $85 alone.
The manager came over to shake my hand and offered his thanks for my work overseas but it was his turn to my wife to thank her for HER sacrifice that nearly brought my wife to tears.
We have been to a few high end restaurants and until Sunday evening we have never felt so special and graciously served like that. My wife and I talked about our dinner all evening and after watching the Cirque De Soleil show my wife eyes welled up and she wrapped her arms around me as she thanked me for the most wonderful weekend ever.
The staff was above excellent and that made the overall experience that much better. The food was the sticking point. My wife had to send her salad back once and really should have sent it back a second time but she didn't want to bother. Either too much dressing or too much salt. I would still recommend that restaurant to friends & family.
We have been going to this upscale steak house for years. The last few times itt has been going down hill. We ordered drinks twenty minutes later the server ask for our order we didn’t get ! When we told him he said what . Took another ten minutes to get the drinks . We were sharing shrimp cocktail and salad. They tried to give us hot plates . When we told them we should get cold or chilled plates we got attitude . Two out of the three steaks had grizzle . No one from the management team every ask how was the food . The table they give us was in a big a walkway with banquet type chair instead of the chairs in the balance of the restaurant. Leaving no one at the desk every asked how enjoyed our meal .
Amazing dinner! We were celebrating a birthday and it was the perfect restaurant for that. Great cocktails. Food was amazing, both guys had 16oz New York strip and were so impressed, asparagus & potatoes on the side were delicious. My tomato & burrata salad was flavourful and crab cake was tasty. Would definitely recommend!
Literally the best steak I have ever had. I would return to Vegas just to eat here! Highly recommended.
When at home try to eat at a new high end steak place every 4-6 weeks. When I travel (for work and fun) I like to try a steak place I have never been to. I also have gotten to where I enjoy cooking steak and make very good occasionally excellent steak at home.
I have never had as good tasting and as perfectly cooked steak as here. I order the steak au proive (filet). Perfect firm pepper crust and soft buttery perfectly cooked med-rare top to bottom interior. The sauce added and did not over power. We also had the duck fat roasted potatoes. And perfectly cooked, just slight firm (not mushy) and the duck fact and simple seasonings were made for an ideal compliment.
Service was perfect for us. As on a date we were talking a lot and the servers were attentive but not intrusive.
Only nitpicking I can think of is we had an early reservation as to catch a show after dinner. When we arrived it was slow and relatively quiet. But as our dinner went on they got more crowded and busier and the noise level increased at lot. This however is not unique to here. It seems to be the trend for the high end steak places to have large rooms of tables that can get noisy as it gets busy.
Cost was in line with other high end steak places. I saw nothing excessive. At first glance the potatoes seemed a bit high. But I’d say easily a serving for three, if not four! The value was there! We each also had a glass of very good wine that was again, in line with other hotel bars, nice restaurants. Obviously you don’t go here on a tight budget (but at the same time, the steaks are large and if you shared.....) but it was not excessive at at! And the quality and service made the cost well worth it!
Highly, highly recommended! Thank you Emeril for an amazing food and excellent service.
Delmonico was quite accommodating. I had originally made a reservation for 6 business guests and found I was going need 10 to 12. I requested that my reservation be adjusted just 24 hours prior to event. Further just hours before our arrival I made phone contact and they were able to take us a half hour earlier. We arrived to marvelous group of wait staff and servers who most courteous and welcoming.
Thank you for a most enjoyable experience.
We went for a 55th birthday and were not disappointed! The staff was incredible, attentive and very accommodating to all of our questions and needs.
The food........wow! Words don’t fit here, it was off the charts and we enjoyed it down to the last molecule, hahaha!!
They could do a bit with the ombiance as it’s a bit “cave like” but saying that.....the food and service is the draw, so the other stufff can be overlooked easily.
We will be back, of that there is no doubt!!!!
Thank you all, it was an amazing night and wonderful experience!
My wife and I dined with my parents for their anniversary. We each ordered steaks. We also had the creamed corn, fingerling potatoes, and smashed country potatoes. The creamed corn was by far the best. The fingerling potatoes were a bit undercooked but we didn’t make a fuss over it. Steaks were great but not something to rave about. I️ had the filet, my wife had the petite filet and my parents both got NY strips. All were cooked to our liking and the flavor was pretty good.
Clint in the bar was outstanding. He helped me try many of the rare scotches and was very attentive. The dining room was a different story. We felt ignored and second class citizens. Emeril should be on premise more often to watch operations. Now I know why all the top Vegas steakhouses were booked except Delmonico.
The night was good. I made a big mistake trying the 100% Japanese waygu. My wife ordered the delmonico ribeye.
I'll keep this short since I've had some really great steaks here. The waygu doesn't taste like waygu. If you do go there and have had any real waygu before I highly recommend you don't try this one. Having had 3 different prefectures of waygu at Alexanders steakhouse in San Francisco I can tell you this is not like any of the cuts I've had before.
It was not melt in the mouth, it was not extremely tender. It was not worth it. Get the delmonico ribeye as it is exquiste. I gladly ate a large part of my wife's steak.
She had a bite of mine and confirmed it was not good.
Emeril Lagasse's Del Monaco Steakhouse is one of the finer dining restaurants on the Las Vegas strip - it is located sort-of inbetween the Venetian and the Palazzo. Their steaks are "to die for" and properly prepared with a number of different options for the dining patron. The service is impeccable and the wine list may be the most extensive one I have ever seen in any restaurant. We will definitely go back and I would have no hesitation in recommending this fine dining establishment to anyone who asks.
