   Great dinner choice in Rapid City. We ordered a couple of burgers and the roasted pepper steak tips that were all very good. We saw several people order the Delmonico Ribeye which was enormous, but looked delicious. We weren’t hungry enough for that the night we were there but could tell it was one of their signature menu items. We liked that our party of six was put at a round table which made it easy to talk during dinner. We also enjoyed the restaurant’s decor.

   Visiting family member at nearby military base and this appeared to be the nicest place Rapid City. Adjusted our expectations going in and the restaurant was cute but the food was way below expectations. Nothing was memorable and everything was bland. The most disappointing part was they do not have a full bar bar so it’s only beer and wine. The wine list was horrendous and surprised more effort was not put into having a more substantial selection given they do not have cocktails. I would pass on this place.

   All facets of the dinner were great! We certainly enjoyed the evening! I hadn't realized that the liquor license only includes beer and wine until I requested a martini. We were surprised that the majority of the patrons were dressed in a fashion significantly less than "smart casual" as was specified in the description of the restaurant.

   The Filet was great but the crab Rissoto was a bit to fishy and you can tell the crab was on its last legs! I would recommend you not order the special other than that it was good!

    I would give 5 stars across the board but two of my dishes were served cold (asparagus), and lukewarm (soup). It was made right immediately and was very good! Food and waiter - Excellent!!

    The only thing with our meal is that the Salmon was well done, rather than medium as ordered. I really enjoy this restaurant. I wish they would have multiple specials in an evening. They are extremely creative and talented in their craft.

    Expecting a wonderful experience for our 50th anniversary. I ordered the special; salmon piccata linguini with shrimp. Yummy! Well, what came was a pile if noodles hiding a few pieces of very dry, very tasteless salmon. Shrimp? I dug thru the noodles and found 4 small, shriveled pieces of dry shrimp. Seriously, I got the impression the salmon and shrimp were reheated leftovers. For fear of ruining our romantic anniversary, when the waitperson noticed I wasn’t eating, I told her I was full. She kindly packed the leftovers. When I got back to the hotel, I happily chucked a $38.00 meal into the trash. My husband said his steak tasted ordinary. Nothing special for the price, or the reputation of this establishment. This is the second time we tried to dine here, and the food fell short again. We will go elsewhere from now on.     As a server, Jessica was awesome. Very conscientious, vey polite and was experienced. She was the best part of the dining experience at Delmonico‘s. Food was subpar and I felt overpriced for what it was.

    Outstanding is the only rating for this experience. This place continually exceeds expectations. Allow Drew to recommend the wine. I had a white burgundy and two great reds the are worth repeating. The halibut was prepared perfectly with a red sauce that enhanced the flavor. Leif provided excellent service - as always.     Bruschetta was superb, drinks are affordable. The Ribeye steak I ordered which was a wet aged “green dolphin style” was cooked medium rare as requested but was very dry and flavorless for a $63 ribeye which was upsetting for the price.

    The ambiance and background music allows two people to carry a conversation throughout the entire meal experience. Each menu item was prepared to perfection with exceptional taste. Staff is attentive. Overall, a wonderful experience.

    We were very excited to try this restaurant as we had heard very good things about it. We had a very nice efficient waitress, however, we waited well over an hour for our food. My husband and I had both ordered medium rare steaks. When they arrived at our table we took our first bite and we both looked at each other and said these are cold. They were cooked to perfection however they were both cold as if they had sat somewhere and not even under a warmer. Our waitress took them back and they tried to warm them which the sauce was warm but the steak was still cold. They did end up taking 50 percent off our bill but we were both very disappointed. We will not be going back

    They sadly had to delay us due to situations out of there control i.e the city. But, they called me personally and made sure the new time worked as well as throwing in a free app. The food there was outstanding and flavorful which paired amazingly with the staff’s personality and experience with the food’s flavor. 10/10

    This was unfortunately a bummer for us. For what they charge we were expecting an amazing dining experience. We were sorely disappointed. To start they were out of the wine we requested. The server changed mid meal and the new server seemed a bit put out about it. They do not serve ranch dressing at all. That is my husbands favorite. A single 16oz dry age ribeye was $72, which is spendy but what we expect to pay for this level of meat preparation. We ordered 2 of them. When I order this type of steak I expect super tender and flavorful. What we got required actual sawing motion to cut through and a sore jaw from chewing. I actually had to take 2 pieces out of my mouth because they were so tough. I only ended up eating about 3 oz of the steak. My husband's steak was chared black on the outside and still cool and red on the inside. We both ordered medium and both were medium rare to rare. I would have sent them back, but we I have seen the movie Waiting too many times to send anything back. On a good note the french onion soup was delicious and so was the flourless chocolate torte. However the torte only came out with 1 single blueberry on top to help cut the sweetness of the chocolate. My husbands regular fries were so salty he didn't finish them. My shoestring truffle parm fries were so overdone they were more like chewing on toothpicks. Little to no truffle flavor. I also did not finish them. We both used the restroom. My husband said the men's room was surprisingly clean. Unfortunately the ladies room was not. Food in the sink, garbage on the floor, and had to use the squat and hoover maneuver to use the toilet. The service was mediocre at best. We were there for our 20 year anniversary. They asked the 3 tables around us why they were celebrating with dinner out, but did not ask us. Overall it was very underwhelming.

    It was recommended by family members. I tried the onion soup and it was good but on the salty side for my liking. I would have liked to have gotten a rib-eye steak but in a smaller size rather than the 16 oz. At our age our appetites have gotten smaller and I don't think taking the extra portion home and microwaving it would do it justice. The filet we ordered was done perfectly and very tender. The service was excellent and the ambiance was nice and not very loud. A good restaurant for special occasions. For a couple be prepared for a $100+ bill.
