Wonderful food, friendly, efficient service, and a pianist and bassist playing beautiful live music, to boot. Just lovely!
A great neighborhood restaurant, that is kid-friendly.
Wonderful neighborhood place - pizza shop in front and restaurant in back. Unpretentious and delicious.
Ate dinner in the more formal back room. Waiter could have been more professional. Was abrupt bordering on rude.
We love this restaurant. The service is kind. The food is yummy. The menu is great. The prices are fair. The location of the dining room has had very little to look out at, had to put up with one construction project after the other in the area, but still provides a classy, cozy feel.
Loved this restaurant and especially enjoyed the cool jazz band which was a pleasant surprise. The ceasar salad was not good but the pasta and cause and the specials were excellent. Thumbs up!
pizza in front dining in back
great value good food
Surprising little place! Good value for good food and live music on a Wednesday nite!
Very nice friendly place with good food and service
The food and service were great. The manicotti had the right amount of cheese and sauce. It is easy to get to from the Q and. A short walk to the 92Y.
This is a neighborhood favorite and they've earned the title. The service is friendly and excellent, the food is beautifully prepared and is delicious. We loved everything! The salads are fresh and crisp, the specials are not just attractive and wonderful tasting, they're usually well-priced too. You should go!
Good food. A little slow on the service. It's a pizza parlor with a "fine dining" area in the back. Better for takeout or delivery.
If you are looking for a family-friendly reasonably priced place on the UES, Delizia hits the spot. This place is a throwback in the nicest sense of the word. I loved seeing all the large tables of three or four generations dining together on large plates of (slightly overcooked) pasta and chicken parm. And it was a relief to see $7 appetizers and $16 entrees that weren't tiny enough to pick up with a tweezer. The service is very much of the "who gets the shrimp" variety, but it's prompt and obliging. I had a nice time and my wallet did too.
Great neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. A hidden gem.
Place simply gets better every time we go. Seating iffy and can be rather noisy but excellent value overall.
The service is top notch. They anticipate our every needed. A consistently great experience week after week with a warm neighborhood feel. Exceptional food and service.
Great little place in the upper east side. Great food at reasonable prices.
A local treasure. Yeah, they all say that. The back room of a pizza joint has tolerable service but excellent food and value. Seafood (the only thing really so ratable by the amateur) is unfailingly fresh and never yet overcooked. Can get crowded mid evening. We'll be going more often, though...
Really fills a role in this neighborhood - good Italian food at a reasonable price. Don't be put off by the fact that it is connected to the pizzeria on Second Ave. (Although the people at the next table had what looked like very nice individual pizzas.) Service was very attentive and the wine list has some real bargains. Very convenient for before an event at the 92nd St Y.
Old fashion comfort type dinning. Good Italian - American food. Good Atmosphere and service. Small wine list.
This place has been in the neighborhood for many years and has always provided great food in the little restaurant in back. It was good to see them survive the second avenue subway construction. Favorites are veal marsala and their always present chicken special.
We loved our meals so much (3 of us; all ordered different things) that we went back the next night , too. Again, the food was superb. Service was attentive but not intrusive which was very nice.
The best food, with a ridiculously low price. Try the baked clams! The specials are always amazing. Fit for foodies!
Excellent restaurant in upper east side Manhattan. Wonderful classic Italian dishes, some interesting new dishes, and a very handsome firefighter dining beside me sent dessert over to our table! So, this is now an even more romantic restaurant! Not my first, not my last visit!
Welcoming and attentive staff, great menu with delicious specials, lovely old-world atmosphere. It has become our favorite Italian restaurant.
Found that Delizia was a block from the hospital, went twice for dinner as the food was so good! Simple outside door may fool you, but inside, quiet atmosphere, white tablecloths, good service, and excellent Italian dishes. The bread! Fresh, right from the oven, and the daily specials were delicious. Highly recommended.
We always enjoy dining here. It is informal, friendly. The food is always very good and the portions are generous. it is a simple and unpretentious neighborhood restaurant where one always feels welcome.
A friendly and comforting environment with tasty food way up on Second Avenue. Portions are a good size all the meat, fish and seafood eaters at our table were happy with their choices. Perhaps a less than ideal spot for the vegetarians in your group - not for lack of choices, but meat-free pasta dishes our group ordered were too filled with gloppy cheese and not much else. But this is a minor quibble. Service was pleasant and generally efficient; prices were fair. For the non-demanding diner, this place is a find.
The little back room was so welcoming and cozy, the specials on the board sounded yummy; the waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The food however, was horrendous. Fish was a plate of mush. Seafood pasta had very little rubbery seafood and pasta swimming in oil. Unfortunate.
Definitely a local favorite. Servers were on a first name basis with many of the guest.
While not exactly posh, its the perfect family Italian Restaurant. Delicious food, nice music, can't ask for much more.
