Delia's is amazing! I've been there a couple of times and am more impressed each time! Everything ordered is always delicious and presented fantastically!
Servers very attentive and friendly. Excellent experience!
A very nice selection of both Mediterranean and Italian food. It is located close to the AMC Hoffman Center movie theaters. So, it is very good for a dinner and a movie night-out.
An extensive menu, something for everyone. Most dishes are excellent, e.g. Mediterranean grilled fish, braised short ribs, grilled lamb chops, ribeye steak, as well as most pasta and pizza dishes. Great gyro meat -- tasty and juicy -- add it to Greek or Caesar salads and you've a great, satisfying meal. The fries are to die for. Dishes to avoid: grilled octopus appetizer (looks better than taste; we also didn't care for its texture); flank steak salad (the flank steak dish is OK--they just give you a lesser, thinner and overcooked piece to go with the salad); for lunch avoid lamb schawarma at all costs -- the marinated lamb was OK, it was the sauce they put on top of it that totally turned us off.
Awesome meal and service. There were 4 of us and all of us LOVED our dinners. We will def be coming back!
We go there often. Always good, always dependable.
Overall we had an enjoyable time st Delia's. The only thing that bothered me was how close together the tables were. You really didn't have any privacy if you sat at a table. If you want your own space ask for a booth. Other than that, everything else was good.
Nice place! Great service and food. Our server Ana was pleasant and gracious.
This has been my 3rd time eating at this restaurant. I enjoy it more each time. I made a reservation, got in on time, the service was very good and the food was excellent.
Great food! Right across the street from the movies. Makes for a great date night!
The food was wonderful and the service was really great - attentive but not intrusive.
Our appetizer, tomato caprese, was good and unique for a traditional dish. I had the Pollo Brunello if I remember the name correctly. It was good, like a chicken marsala. My friend had pizza which she enjoyed and our husbands had chicken souvlaki and a gyro. Everyone enjoyed their meal and usually you go to dinner and someone doesn't like their meal in the group. I would go to this restaurant again. Our server, Sergio was pleasant and helpful.
I've tried several entrees at Delia's and, except for one notable exception, they are all great, e.g. grilled Mediterranean fish, beef short ribs, grilled flank steak, and the lamb chops have to be the very best I've had in a long, long time! The menu is not available for viewing at this time so I cannot call them by their menu name. The pastas and pizzas are also great. The one really disappointing dish was a lamb in pita bread, not the gyro, but a lamb sharwa or shawna something (spelling!). The sauce was so awful I left the dish untouched. I hope they take it out of the menu. As for this visit, everything was great. My friends had the steak, gnocchi, and grilled fish. I had the beef short ribs. Everyone enjoyed their choice.
Never had anything there that I DIDN'T like!!! The food is outstanding every time! The bartenders & wait staff are friendly, and the ambiance is just right. Recommend making reservations on the weekends because it gets crowded!
I loved the food and the service was fast! The waiter was very helpful and I will definitely be returning!!
The food was excellent. Just wish our waitress was more familiar with the menu. Overall the experience was very good.
This restaurants is one of my favourite places in the D.C. and Northern Virginia Area. I have been here multiple times with friends and have tried almost everything on the menu with no complaints and lots of raves. The calimari and halloumi (sp?) appetizers, and pizza knuckles are excellent. The pizza is fantastic - and my friends love the chicken souvlaki and caesar salads. The pasta dishes are well done, the serving sizes are large, and don't skip dessert! (Try the pear and blueberry pastry dessert or tiramisu!) The service is excellent, and I have never been disappointed. Five stars - don't miss out! Simply divine.
Overall Delias was very good. If you need a high chair make sure to ask for one when making the reservation as they apparently only have 1 or 2 and it throws the staff into a tizzy if you dont let them know beforehand. Our food was good, our table got two apps, the pizza knuckles and the italian chips and salsa; everyone loved the knuckles, the chips and salsa not so much. Our entrees were all very good. My crab cakes were excellent my wife enjoyed her gnocchi. The other couple we went with got the lobster crab ravioli, which was reportedly good but not great, and the four cheese pizza which was very garlicky.
Hard to rate food that the average person really likes and I find boring, however, it is close by and we can take the kids. I do find that the appetizers are better than the rest of the menu. Wine list is a little weak, but good and the beer list can be interesting.
Visitng from out of town. Our second time at Delia's. Reasonably priced, very good food in a comfortable, casual setting. I recommend it to friends and family in the area.
This restaurant is located right across from Hoffman Center theatres which makes it easy to have lunch or dinner and do a movie. Nice day/evening. I went for lunch. The food was great; the service was attentive without being intrusive and it was quiet. I got a little nervous when I saw a group of young boys come in to celebrate a birthday but they must have put them in a private room because I never heard a peep. It was easy to enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal. I go to this restaurant often and am always pleased with the experience.
Enjoyed our lunch and the service was great. I will return
There is a wide variety on the menu and the food is always delicious. This is my go-to place to bring out of town visitors. The pizza knuckles appetizer is a signature dish for a reason.
I have never had a meal I did not enjoy. Service is always friendly and the wait staff checks back frequently. The portion sizes can seem a little inconsistent. For example, the salads and pastas are large but a sandwich of the same price is barely enough to take the hunger edge away.
This was a nice little upscale restaurant with good food selections. We were seated immediately, and it seemed nobody that evening had to wait for a seat. Parking directly outdoors has a 1 hour limit, but there is a huge empty parking lot around the corner which is close & free.
Wide and varied menu. Prompt service. The hummus and pasta dishes were very tasty! Pizza, mussels and calamari looked good. Got less crowded closer to 9 pm. Looks like a nice place for late night snacks.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a good restaurant for a date night. I made a reservation for Delia's because the website looked amazing and so did the food. We arrived early and took a seat at the bar while we waited for our table. We ended up telling the host we will be sitting at the bar because the bartenders were amazing and very friendly. Nick and Kevin took very good care of us and very friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends and also go back many more times.
A friend and I started with the octopus, which I had never had. I loved it. I had the gyro, and the meat was tender. The two pieces of flatbread weren't as soft as I would have liked, but those were buried at the bottom and unnecessary anyway! We split a chocolate truffle and a chocolate souffle, both of which were excellent. The hostesses were very friendly, the waiter was good (and not "in your face"), and the food came very fast considering the restaurant was packed. It was a little noisy, but I had no problem hearing my friend, and didn't have to talk over anyone. I will be going back.
Not fine dining but prices were high for pizza and pasta. Six pieces of lobster ravioli pasta for $20?! Willing and able to pay for expensive meals but not at this place.
Good food, attentive and kind service, I would gladly recommend it to people. Prices are reasonable as well.
We love to go to Delias before going to the movies at Hoffman - sometimes it's quiet, most times it's not, and there's usually a long wait. But the food is delicious and worth the trip!
Went in for dinner on a Monday night at 9:30. I knew that their kitchen closed at 10. Great food! OMG worth every penny. My guy and I shared the Wings (which slide right off the bone, and a rich glaze over them) as a app. The entree's we has were the Lamb chops (which was the only reason why we came here) and this marinated chicken on skewers over what tastes like a small ceaser salad and grilled tomato's. Since both app and entree was crazy delicious i wanted a sweet treat. I has the berry tarte which was the bomb, it was seriously the icing on the cake. I will come back!
We go to Delia's for lunch / dinner from time to time, and it is an excellent neighborhood restaurant. The waitstaff is courteous and responsive and the food excellent with reasonable prices. We both had steak, which was terrific. We went the most recent time on a Wed., when there is 50% off on any bottle of wine, making the meal an excellent value. Highly recommend. Can be busy on weekends.
I and my husband started with the Mediterrean 14(?)- spice dip and the marinated grilled shrimp. Both very fabulous, especially the dip, which we gobbled up. Our waiter was very attentive, providing helpful info regarding my gluten intolerance, even bringing some raw cucumbers for the dip when he saw that I couldn't eat the accompanying pita bread. We continued on with the lamb--which was delicious!--and the whole roasted fish (a red snapper) which was also expertly prepared! And of course we couldn't pass up dessert. I got the chocolate truffle (ball of chocolate gelato with zabalione gelato center), excellent!, and my husband got the pear tart, which, according to him, was also delicious! All in all this restaurant was a great find!
I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quantity (and price) of the Belgian beers available. They had one of my favorites- Hofbrau! Also, try the prosciutto pizza with the fig-balsamic glaze, it's fabulous!
I have referred several friends to Delia's and they are in love with it..just like I am. I enjoy the mediterranean food.
Love this place. I go there all the time with friends. We always leave happy and satisfied.
This was my second time at Delia's. I always enjoy eating there, especially before or after a movie since it is right next door. It's a very comfortable place and our waiter was fantastic. My party of 6 was a bit chilly and, upon our request, he even cut the air down for us. The Penne ala vodka/proscuitto was delish! It was a bit salty but that's to be expected with so much proscuitto. The other 5 people ordered pizzas. They all seemed pretty good but the bottom of each pizza was quite soggy, so much so that we had to eat it with a fork! The crust was delicious though, but the Quattro Formaggio pizza I ordered was overloaded with too much raw garlic inside it. It was a good time though and we will return sometime in the future.
Good Service and good food. The Salads are the only items in the menu we thought were just ok. Excellent Pizza and the fried octopus for appetizer was amazing.
Make a reservation and they will have a table ready. I really enjoyed my Ladies Night Out there. The food was just yummy and the service was good.
