Delia's is a must before going to the movies. Consistently great food and excellent service
Food was fine for every day dining. Service was good. Don’t order the burger ( my husband did and I don’t know why — it’s a Mediterranean restaurant!). Pizza was good and the gyro huge! Good value!
First, we made the mistake of coming on the opening night of Black Panther. So it was quite crowded and the waitstaff wasn’t robust enough to handle the volume. Our server did really well considering she was juggling multiple parties at different stages of dining.
But, we’d made reservations and though we weren’t expecting the best table, we were escorted to the table closest to both the front door and the kitchen when there were other tables available. I’ll chalk that up to expedience on the part of maitre d’. He was receptive to our desire to move and set us up in a less central table. The lighting in the dining room was quite bright and not at all comfortable.
The food, however, was a disappointment. We’d eaten here a couple years ago and remembered being pleasantly surprised. This time though, the Naan was cold, undercooked, and rubbery, the mushroom ravioli was institutional and metallic.
All in all ... this was a disappointing visit and we’d be hard-pressed to return.
This Delia's location is very convenient for a pre or post-movie stop. We had appetizers and a drink before seeing a movie and it was just right. Our server was very good and friendly as well.
Food was great but noise level is a bit high so it hard to carry a conversation.
Overall, the food and service was good, but the prices seemed a bit high compared to other restaurants offering similar dishes.
We shared the grilled octopus and all decided to have the swordfish. Both were very tasty and well presented.
I've been to Delia's a few times. This time I had the ziti, very good! I don't think I love it as much as their chicken soup, but is was very good. Pasta not overcooked.
I'm a repeat customer and know what to expect regarding the noise level. When the first post-movie crowd arrives, typically at about 7pm, the DB level doubles at least! Nevertheless, the food is definitely worth slightly sore eardrums.
I ordered a white wine sangria and they brought me what I'm pretty sure was a flat Sprite since it didn't seem to contain any wine. The food was good, but the orange butter was bothersome. Service was mediocre. Likely not going back.
Our server was fantastic- very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. The hostess was the only negative of the evening.
It was my husband birthdays and we had a nice time.
Nice place, good access to NSF for business meetings. Can be a little loud during lunch when busy, but overall a very nice place to have lunch. Food is good.
We have always had great service and food at Delia's. Great place to eat before a movie at Hoffman.
Staff is friendly, service is excellent, food is tasty. We love it here
Birthday . Nice place. Decent food
Very pleased overall. The wreckfish catch of day was amazing. Overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I made a reservation and the table was in a narrow aisle with busy traffic despite other open and available tables in other areas of the restaurant. The service was friendly but really slow. Not worth the reservation. It was awkward layout and feel disrespected by being placed in the location.
Delicious food, comfortable ambiance and friendly staff- this is a wonderful local restaurant . I haven’t had a bad meal yet! Try the octopus - it’s cooked to perfection. In fact, everything from the drinks to the entrees are fabulous! I hate writing this because our hidden gem in Alexandria will soon be too busy to get a table.
Managers checked on us several times to make sure everything was good...appreciated that attention.
