Took my GF for the first time! Julio took really good care of us
The food was delicious and the waiter was great. He made suggestions for dinner and delivered our drinks quickly. He was very attentive and we enjoyed our meal. My only complaint was that the restaurant was rather noisy, but that seems to be the trend these days.
Not only great food but an added bonus of half price bottle of wine on Wednesday.
Food was delicious!! Dessert wasn’t too great but they took it off our check.
Pizza were full of topping crust was perfect thickness
I have eaten at Delia’s several times. Filling portions of tasty food every time. A bit more expensive this time than I had remembered, but still reasonable.
The food and service were excllent. The limoncello martini was by far the best lemon martini I've ever had. Literally tasted like a liquid lemon drop. The salmon was excellent. Really are only complaint was their dessert menu - they no longer have their dessert drinks because of COVID - they should just remove that page from their menu. Otherwise, really nice date night and we will be back.
Haven’t been to this place in years!! Was glad it was still open and made it through the pandemic. Food was just as I remembered and tasted amazing!! They were very short staffed which increased the wait time greatly! Even with the wait the experience was great. Highly recommend.
First time here. Loved everything! Definitely, putting on the favs list
Incredible food!!! Well worth the wait. They were busy on a Friday night. We had reservations. Service was slow, but very courteous.
We are outside and except for the string lights not working we had a fabulous dinner for 7. Great food and great service!
We made reservations with the hopes of being able to try their food during restaurant week. However, when we got there we were told first, by the waiter that they are not participating. I told him that their restaurant was on the 2021 Alexandria, Va Restaurant Week list. He said he is not aware of that. We checked the website again to make sure we were at the right location, and we were, so we asked to speak with the manager. She said they did not agree to being on the list because they were “short staff”. She said she spoke with the owner because she had other customers to come in expecting the same event, and the manager is supposed to be looking into it. Well, Restaurant Week ends on Sunday so that did not do anything for us. Good thing Ted’s Montana Grill was about 5 doors up and we enjoyed a wonderful Restaurant Week meal there, since we were all dressed up and no place to go.
Good food, good service. Comfortable atmosphere and not very noisy.
I ordered the lamb gyro and it was dry and overcooked. First time here and it wasn’t crowded. Don’t think I’ll return.
My wife and I are big fans of Mediterranean food and this place is becoming one of our go to’s. You can taste the grilled flavor throughout all of their dishes. Our favs, the wings, harrissa hummus, beef short ribs w/ gnocchi, brick oven pizza, & the lamb burger. It will not be our last time eating here.
The Delia's nearest us (S. Glebe Rd.) closed before the pandemic and we've been on a pizza hunger strike since then. Decided to try the Alexandria once. . .well worth the longer drive. Split the large walnut, spinach, and gorgonzola salad--tasty and fresh--still had a serving to take home. Hubby order small (6 slices) Chorizo pizza and I, the Classico. As delicious as we remember them. Crust is slightly thinner than other places, but the outer edge has "bubbles" and slight charring. No one else makes them like this. But what sets them apart is the tomato sauce--spicy, herbs, blends well with toppings. We each brought home half. Andrew, our server, is a veteran of the closed location. Chipper, efficient.
Two downsides: With lots of space insider, we were seated at the brick wall in front of the kitchen area. Too much clatter and noise. We asked to be reseated. The AC was cranked up so high even my never-cold husband started to shiver.
Will we go back? Yes (with a light sweater).
Will order the same pizzas? You bet!
Be prepared for parking chaos in the little lot out front. Just pay the $4 and go into the parking garage around the corner. After all, for the cost of dinner last night, we also have dinner (at home) for tonight.
Julio was a delightful gentlemen as our server. And the octopus was very very good. The pizza knuckles were also delicious and the San benedetto still water was yummy. Also very fresh lemons and they are generous with the cheese, side accommodations, and complimentary grilled pita bread. Will definitely return for light snacking. Would recommend highly.
Ate outside, so noise level is not under their control
Good food and amazing service!!!
Thank you so much for the awesome rating! See you soon..
Hi Marc! Thank you for dining with us. Hope to see you soon!
A bit expensive
Great food. Wonderful service
Octopus appetizer was very good. Wait staff was friendly and inviting. The pizza was very delicious.
Great meal and service. Louder than usual tonight due to some bar activities.
Such a great neighborhood jewel. Food options are enormous as are portions. Waitstaff always so friendly and helpful!
I love Delia's! Ever since I discovered it 8 years ago it has been a staple in my family. It is always delicious, service is great and never disappoints.
The recipes sing to have changed somewhat over the years, but it was still good, just not fabulous.
Good was great! Jorge is an awesome waiter!
Thanks. Great food. Great service
It was alright. My appetizer the Grilled Halloumi Crostini was delicious! There was an AC cent above our table that kept dripping on us. Our server was ...ok. The pizza was really good. It’s a convenient place in proximity to the movie theatre, so it’s not bad.
Low quality food for a high price. Despite their name, a quick peak into the kitchen reveals that they don’t have a brick oven. Pizza was gross.
Great food! Great Service!
Great food. Fantastic service
When we asked for the check to be split, we each were presented with a bill which contained just our individual dishes as well as half our shared dessert!! :-)
I had never seen that before, usually the split is just right down the middle and the salad person ends up paying for park of the steak person’s meal.
This was our third visit... we keep coming because everything is so good, the pizza crust is to die for! Haven’t had a bad meal or experience yet. My only wish was they validated parking for the garage.
Great meals and wonderful service.
Terrible dining. Service is always deal breaker for us and it broke the deal for us. We have been here multiple times, but after the waiter and the manager both were unempathetic to what they did it was our decision to never return.
Our waiter Abbas was annoyed from the start with our 2 kids (4 and 5 year old) right when we walked in. But our BIGGEST issue was that he added gratuity of 18% on our check with just a party of 4. He told us it was service charge for all guests?!?!? Unreal. We were shocked and told the manager, and he said nothing but sorry and it shouldn’t happen. Manager should of handled that much more than a sorry thank you and the waiter didn’t even say sorry and instead said it’s okay you don’t have to leave me a tip?! We were appalled by such poor appreciation of their customers.
I understand customer service pretty well. I know when someone understands their mistake and genuinely apologizes for what they did. But this waiter and manager both ready to have us swipe our credit card and leave. I wouldn’t come to this garbage customer service restaurant again.
Food was also bad. Pizza - not good. If you want really good wood fired pizza and not brick try Lenas. They also have better pasta as well.
My wife said that the Red Snapper chef special was awesome, 6/22/2019. I had my favorite, the Pesto pizza. We've been coming to Delia's on Eisenhower Ave for years and always enjoy the food. A special shoutout for our server, Abbas. He is super attentive.
Great place. Wonderful service.
