The food and service is outstanding. They are very accommodating on their menu if you want something special
Always try the specials
The restaurant was understaffed. We waited at least 5 minutes for someone to seat us. There was a 60th birthday party in a private room in the back and they got priority. There was one poor waiter supporting almost the entire dining room. He was sweating from exertion. The food was bland and overpriced.
The food was excellent and the service too. The restaurant was basically empty at the time, but we could hear some noise from the bar. Everyone was very friendly. We would likely go again.
You will never be disappointed if you choose to dine @ this wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
We've been here before and that's why we went back! The fish special over broccoli rabe was amazing. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese this time too because it was just that good. The chef (can't remember his name) has a great personality. The couple we dined with raved about their food also but I don't remember what they had. Basically, anything you order here will be thoroughly enjoyed!
Only one waiter for whole restaurant. Luckily it wasn’t too busy but we had to wait to order every course. Veal was tough n had to be sent back. Waiter was sarcastic when asked about side dishes. Very disappointed
Waiter was great! Set us up in the bar area for dinner. Dinner was great!!
One of the finest - fun filled places to go eat & enjoy. The wait staff is ALWAYS attentive, the food delicious, the atmosphere relaxing and the owner Joe Mangi is there to make your experience one to remember. FREE Friday & Saturday entertainment many weeks - also top notch..
Walked in the door and was pleasantly greeted and seated. Our waiter was prompt immediately asking if we would like something to drink. We ordered eggplant parmesan and paparadelle bolognese. Both were delicious and served hot. Food was enough so no room for dessert . We could have sat outside but it was just too hot. Overall a good experience.
Excellent food and top notch service! We will return!
The food was surprisingly good. Nice food choices, primarily Italian. Well prepared and well presented. Great desserts. Service was excellent. Cozy dining area, with bar adjacent in next room including live entertainment (started around 8:00.
I have used this restaurant twice with my local team up in Westchester and both times the meals and service were terrific! Both times we had groups of 14 or more and they offered us the back of the restaurant for dining. The bar is great also to meet up.
The food was good, and wine selection good, the noise level increased after 7:30 p.m. on weekend night. The service was good until had to wait 10+ minutes for the check and payment process, with priority notably directed to taking orders of new arrivals. The price appeared out of line with the ambiance and non complex courses. Recommend for a group special occasion.
Went to Delfinos for Mother's Day. When we got there, it was a shortened version of the menu, which would have been perfectly fine had it been indicated on their website. That being said the food was delicious (app + entree for one price) Arugula salad was good and the Chicken Princess was very good! The sauce was divine. Another great dish was the gnocchi on the shortened menu.
The servers were all friendly and knowledgeable my only comment would be we never knew who our waitor really was. We had about 5 different people helping which was nice but a little confusing.
One other thing to note - the outside of the restaurant does not do it justice. It has a different/interesting facade that definitely does not depict the quality of food. I would recommend people go to Delfinos for a great italian meal
can't figure this place out - can't figure this place out - can't figure this place out - can't figure this place out -
Went with Tom and Asa.
Had a pretty good dinner.
For beginners Tom and I had the calamari.
Not much taste. Kathy had the baked clams and they were
delicious. Asa had a salad and was good.
I had the chicken scarpiello for dinner it was very good. Kathy had the fettuccine
bolognaise which was ok a little to sweet on the sauce.
Asa had a different macaroni dish and was good.
The girls had a bottle of chardonnay which was warm and had to add ice.
Ruined it a bit. Service was ok
Delfino’s is an excellent restaurant for EVERT occasion ,. The food, service and ambiance are ALWAYS above average. Try it.. You’ll love it !
The food was well-prepared and flavorful. Service was excellent. The ambiance is a little 'tired'; however, it didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the meal.
Once seated we waited for the waiter to tell us about the menu. He did not appear...there looked to be a black board of specials floating around but we were not shown it to after we made our selections which then we changed after seeing some of the specials. It would be better to have an insert with the regular menu to avoid this delay. There did not appear to be many waiters so when we finally ordered it took a while to receive our food. We did receive our drinks and my glass had lipstick on it so I informed the waiter (when I was finally able to catch him) he immediately replaced my glass with a fresh glass of wine. How did I know because he put the old glass on another table so I know they did not just pour the wine into a new glass. The food was tasty and the portions were very nice. It took 2 hours for drinks apps and dinner no coffee or dessert. I would return but one must expect to wait for your service here.
Dinner with my lovely wife.
1st time here in a while- no reason except our travel pattern has changed. But we will definitely stop here more often- Service and food were excellent- had a bottle of house wine which the owner suggested would be more cost effective then buying separate multiple glasses- he was correct- was appreciated- liked it. We enjoyed our meals-truly feel you should give it a try. In fact the special desert (berry tart) was so wonderful we ordered a large one to bring to a friends home for dinner this weekend! Highly Recommend.
This restaurant is the quintessential Italian neighborhood restaurant.
Great atmosphere... very friendly wait-staff and owner ...and excellent food.
Home-made pasta and gravy are first-rate... with a special nod to their bolognese...and their seafood dishes are always excellent.
Great food, ambiance and service!!! Will be back!!
Nothing special in our opinion. Service was ok, decor was ok, food was ok.
Excellent food and very personable service with nice decor.
Amazing fresh pasta . Owner was on site and enjoyed the conversation on a winter Tuesday. Apps were also excellent, meatballls very very god!
Angelo will make your dining experience very special.
Delfinos is so under rated. More people should venture out and try this restaurant.
The food is excellent, service is great and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I have eaten at Delfinos many times and everything on the menu is worth trying.
The Chicken Alex, Filet Mignon marsala, shrimp scampi and any of the pastas.
The food was excellent - great portions and great flavor! The waiter said that the artichoke hearts special was big - boy he wasn't kidding! The chicken scarp was great and didn't have any filler potatoes! My husband's zuppe di pesce was over linguini - it wasn't in a broth - and it was excellent! Only complaint was attention to drinks - we definitely would have had a third round, and possibly a fourth! - but they were slow on noticing our empty glasses and thus we had a great meal with only 2 drinks and that was fine. A great experience all around - we'll be back!
Food was good, service was good, price little on the high
Side for Me considering we had a pasta dish and a chicken dish with a cannoli for dessert.
But, overall it was a good dinner and will return
Phenomenal food and great service. Will definitely return!
It was our 9 year Engagement Anniversary and I wanted to take my beautiful wife for a SURE THING dinner. That's exactly what we enjoyed- delicious food - great service - and lovely ambiance @ Delfino's in Harrison, NY.
Antonio is AMAZING best waiter ever!
We had calamari which was very bland! In desperate need of seasoning.
The chicken scarp was delicious! Chicken was a bit tough but it was flavorful.
The pasta with sausage basil and ricotta was ok. Nothing spectacular!
$3.50 for a glass of soda! Which is outrageous.
So overall the service from Antonio was AMAZING calamari was terrible chicken scarp was ok (chicken tough) and pasta was nothing fantastic.
The owner is very attentive..they make their own pasta..
Everything & everyone at Delfino's is TOP NOTCH. The food is always fresh- delicious and presented beautifully .
Anthony, the owner, takes a close personal interest in you and your guests. Both waiters Mr. Angelo and Mr. David are professionals and provide the best and extremely helpful service.
You cannot go wrong Dining at this neighborhood gem.
Just a great neighborhood restaurant. Everything is top notch and the owner and his waiters always make you feel welcomed and special.
Try it you'll LOVE the experience.
Great neighborhood place with friendly staff and excellent Italian food.
The Cavatelli Bolognese is especially delicious as well as the Octopus and Meatball appetizers.
After reading the reviews for Delfinos we were expecting a much better dining experience. The staff was very attentive and the owner very friendly, but the food was mediocre at best. The restaurant could use a facelift as well. Very disappointed and will not be returning.
I've never been disappointed! The baked clams is a must, the shrimp and scallop risotto, the lamb, chicken scarp, its all good
