About Del Campo

The lifestyle and food culture celebrated on an estancia, a large South American vineyard estate, is the inspiration for Victor Albisu’s flagship restaurant in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The airy, 174-seat agrarian space is home to a meat-driven, wine-centric menu that is a product of Albisu’s Latin American roots and travels throughout Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.

Private Dining

Del Campo's extensive selection of steaks and various slow-roasted meats served with vibrant herb sauces, such as chimichurris and fresh salsas, is the backbone of the menu. Chef Victor Albisu’s Peruvian heritage shows itself in the form of a Latin raw bar of ceviches, tiraditos and crudos.

I had the prime dry aged ribeye that was 10/10 by far one of the top two steaks I have ever had. Service was great, a bit noisy but there were just a lot of people eating

Walked in and was greeted by a friendly hostess. The restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately, that is where anything positive I have to say ends. While our server was nice, the service was incredibly slow. Two of the things we ordered we were informed were not available. The food that we were able to order came out (after what seemed like an hour) and was almost inedible due to the amount of spice. We are from Texas, so trust we know how to handle spicy food, but this was different. This was an unnecessary amount of char and red pepper flakes on everything. We didn't even want to look at the dessert menu after we ate as much of dinner as we could. 1 - because we didn't know how much longer we would have to wait for that to come out and 2 - we weren't sure if that too would be coated in red pepper flakes. I wish we hadn't wasted our last dinner in DC at this restaurant.

Ceviches are perfect for sharing with plantain chips that complement the fish flavors. Empanada crust light and not overbearing on the fillings. Cod stew reminds you of a great Spanish paella. The nearby bar is a little noisy so try to get a table deeper in the restaurant.

Service - Superb

Pisco Punch - Good
Sausage - Excellent
Wagyu Bavette Steak - Superb
Chimichurri - Superb
Smoked Potatoes - Superb
Brussels Sprouts - Mediocre (too sweet - would have preferred more char in the flavor)
Pot de Creme - Superb
Mint Ice Cream - Excellent

Consistently great food! We’ve been here many many times and Del Campo never disappoints—flavorful food and great customer service for brunch, lunch, dinner or even their special occasion menus. We are always delighted here. If you haven’t been, go!

First time dining at Del Campo for my husband's birthday. I was looking for a steakhouse with a twist. Overall it was a good experience. The drinks were great. The food was good but a bit bland for our taste.

The 18 oz ribeye is still unquestionably my the best steak I have ever tasted. I also love the presentation of the Old Fashioned with the smoked glass.

Simply amazing steaks, creative appetizers, and excellent drinks and service. The ribeye was among the best steaks I've ever had, dry-aged and wood grilled, amazingly flavorful and tender.

First, best Pisco Sour we have had since visiting Buenos Aires (by far). This is an all-meat place but not in the traditional steak house way. It is South American focused from the wine to much of the menu. The sweetbreads were very good as was the rolled skirt steak. The sommelier was extremely helpful and found us a unique and very good Argentinian wine in our price range. Plus, Del Campo is fun and welcoming.

We were staying overnight in DC for the holidays and wanted to have a very nice dinner. Del Campo was perfect. The food was outstanding and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our server Angel really made our evening very enjoyable. We shared the NY Strip because an 18 oz steak is a bit too large. The steak was unbelievably delicious and just the right amount for the two of us. This was our second visit to Del Campo and it was just as good as the first time! I have recommended it to several friends.

Got the order wrong; fish was way overcooked to point of burned.had total opposite experience from my last visit. Food took too long to arrive and one person had to wait while other three got food. Ruined dining experience. Staff was overly talkative, overly familiar.
Mushroom appetizer was not tasty.
Would not go again if food were free even. Will not recommend to friends.

The food was a 10, the service was a 1. I am a frequent diner and former restaurant industry person and to be fair, the food was as good as good be. Steak was incomparable in its preparation and the other menu items were delicious.

The service was horrible and atrociously slow- it took three hours for a party of three. By the time the server came back to ask what we wanted, two of the guests had lost the appetite for dessert. Check took another 20 minutes and was literally dropped on the table with a "thanks for comin' folks". I wouldn't eat here if you have anywhere to go for the evening.

Not sure why, but the service was disappointing. A friend and I were grabbing dinner before a show at the Arena and it wasn't very crowded, but it took forever even for my drink from the bar to arrive at the table. The food, however, was delicious as usual!

Too expensive for the quality of food. The hot appetizers came out room temperature even though we had an early reservation. The short ribs were bad. Fatty and dense and not at all tender. The waiter tried to make up for it but the quality of food is just not worth the price. Nice overall atmosphere for a drink at the bar instead.
