Nice and quaint. Service was outstanding. Wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. Did not have vodka sauce on the menu. They made it for us and it was one of the best we have had!
Food was delicious and the prices reasonable.
We will definitely go back when in the city again!
So I decided to go to Degrezia for my first Valentine’s Date with my girlfriend and was not disappointed! While searching for different restaurants on google I was trying to find something that would foster a nice intimate setting where I wouldn’t have to yell over people or over music. When I saw Degrezia as an option I was a little hesitant at first. I saw that it had good reviews but wasn’t to sure about the ambience I was looking for. But I decided to take a leap of faith and BAM, perfection. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and courtesy. We were escorted to the seating area and the gentleman escorting us gave of the option for a seat in the main dining area or a private room (of course we took the private room). From there we were given our menus and the gentleman explained the days specials to us. When we placed our orders, the food came in a very timely manner and IT WAS DELICIOUS! (I highly recommend the salmon!). Then we ordered dessert and again it was great! From there they just let us enjoy our time, they not once rushed us like many places do but actually encourage us to take our time and enjoy ourselves. And we did! It was the best date and my girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves very much. You will not be disappointed coming here!
Felt rushed and food was nothing soecial
only knock on service was flagging someone for desert and after that the final bill. front end of the meal was very good back end of the meal service was below average
Great quiet unassuming place with amazing italian food.
Loved this place! You don't find many NYC gems like this. Quality food and ingredients.
Fabulous find. Old world charm. Food, service and ambience were 5 star. It is expensive but worth every penny!
DeGrezia is a wonderful gem. It is a charming and lovely restaurant. The staff goes out of their way to make your dinner experience wonderful.
Amazing. Great food, fantastic ambience. Looking forward to coming again.
Have been dining here for 15 years and love it every time
This was a last minute surprise! My wife and I walked out of a crowded nearby restaurant and right into this one. The food and service was excellent and great ambience. Prefect for date night. Also, get the canoli for dessert! AMAZING!
great food , great service very, authentic, hard to beat
Was made to feel special and taken care of the whole night. Food and drink were amazing and would gladly go back. Wine is a little expensive but food is reasonably priced for the type of restaurant.
Excellent as expected based on prior experience
Service was excellent until time for the check totally inattentive
Waiter told me if I was a regular I would have had better service. What does that mean?
I have been there often over 21 years
Does that qualify me as a “regular “
My partners Spaghetti dinner was not good
Perhaps if I had not booked on OpenTable I would’ve been treated better
Amazing Italian food and authentic ambiance. Also great for small groups and private rooms. Feels like eating with family.
We have eaten here before and everything was great, however, this time although the food was excellent this service was not. We had to ask for things they gave us a wine menu and left not coming back until we asked. Never asked if everything was ok. Took our dinner plates and never asked us for dessert or coffee and we even had to ask for our bill. Very disappointed when u pay premium prices for the food expect servive
We always visit here on our first night when we travel to NYC. Within 1/2 block of our hotel. Always good atmosphere and food is outstanding. I had the House-made pasta with eggplant and tomatoes. My wife had the shrimp in cognac sauce. Both were delicious.
We especially enjoyed the Hostess, Krystal. She was so friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home right away.
Everything was outstanding until they brought our dinners and my filet mignon with foil gras looked amazing but my husbands rabbit he ordered came as mixed seafood over pasta. We told the server and they took both away. We ended up with the correct entrees but then we were ignored for the rest of our meal. I alerted our server of my distaste for this service on our way out. Again food ambiance and service to start was unbelievable. Just sad we were ignored after a mistake made by the gentleman that took the order.
We went to DeGrezia to celebrate my husband's birthday. We don't live far but frankly had never tried the spot. The decor is old world and the food was ok but everything else would assure that we would never return. It's not inexpensive and the service was just awful. I am not sure they had enough staff to take care of the patrons. Our waiter was nice enough taking our order but we really never saw him again. No one asked us about more drinks, how was dinner, and unforgivably no one asked us about coffee or dessert. Although the setting is nice we found the maitre D' about as personable as the wallpaper. I think the greeting, and how you are seated, set a tone when dining. There are far too many very good Italian restaurants in the area to ever need to go there again. Even though DeGrezia has been there for some time they obviously don't focus on the little things(and big things) that make the dining experience pleasurable.
